Politics / Re: Tinubu Will Win Highest Votes, Might Have Run-Off With Obi - SBM Intelligence by Nwanna2588: 12:31pm On Feb 18, 2023
ENGINEERG:
If anyone tells you Peter obi can not win again, tell them he is now sure to win 14 states plus FCT from the 36 states. The states are:
Abia
Ebonyi
Enugu
Imo
Anambra
Edo
Rivers
Cross River
Delta
Akwa ibom
Bayelsa
Benue
Plateau
Taraba
Fct.

The core North that obi won't do well, will be majorly divided by 3 candidates( Tinubu, Atiku and kwanswaso) and obi Will get something too.
South West will still be divided too, whereas South east and South south won't be so divided, and obi will get landslide victory there.

so let no person tell you it's not possible again, its so Ossible

Even Lagos is a sure win if the election will be free and fair. Kaduna south is also another hope.

Politics / The Trio Of Atiku, Obi And Tinubu Weaknesses And Strength by Nwanna2588: 8:14pm On Feb 13, 2023
Important questions loom in the minds of voters in Nigeria, whether or not Obi, Atiku or Tinubu will win as February 25 begins to inch closer. The trio are the most tipped candidates for the presidential election. While they are still others, the semiotic of people's body language is on the aforementioned three candidates. This is even as Kwankwaso is a political juggernaut among others.

Here are the strengths and the weakness of the trio of Obi, Atiku and Tinubu:

1. Peter Obi: he is no doubt the people's choice but the Nigerian voting pattern is always tribalistic in nature. What about religious fanatics? They are also there to poison people's minds. While these are clogged in his wheel of progress, there is hope that Nigeria is growing and gradually moving from being fanatics and tribalistic. Also on the list is the unrest in the South East where he hails. The people who have IPOB that don't believe in Nigeria are not helping matters.
Part of his strength is his popularity. There is no doubt that he is the most sought-after as he epitomises the level of class and elegance of which others could only dream. During one of the opposition party's campaigns, the shout of his name rented the air, a sure way of announcing his candidature against others. Obi is also known for economic management which is his selling point since the days he started his campaign. This is an appropriate time for such a candidate and it has put him ahead of others. There is also fear in some quarters that other candidates are not Christian, Obi is the only churchgoer among the other two. The North are predominantly Muslim but the Christians among them are likely going to vote for Obi because of the fear of the unknown.
With the assurance of Ijaw nations and others in the South, he is already sure of getting block votes in the South East and South-South. South West is also another region he will get a massive vote.
Up north, the semiotic of the people's body language especially Benue is in his favour. The remaining two regions the core north are not exempted as he will be banking on his deputy who is from one of the regions to get the people's votes. Kaduna south people welcomed him as a brother in one of his campaign tours.

2. Atiku Abubakar: he is no doubt a political juggernaut but he has a bad relationship with the election when it comes to the Nigerian number one seat. So if history repeats itself as it is said that history will always do, he is out of it. The fear of Fulani herdsmen is one of the confluence of factors that are facing his candidacy. Also, for fairness' sake, this is coming at the time another Fulani is leaving the office. Should he win it will be the first of a kind because no outgoing President in Nigeria has ever handed over to his kinsmen. The people want a change of baton. Even in the north where he hails, those from the middle belt and especially the part of Plateau and Benue may not accept him. The Kaduna south in the core north is another example.
Having said this, Atiku is a political juggernaut and he is the epitome of what it takes to prevail. He is no longer a tyro having had his name on the ballot more than five times. The 2019 election was his best where he lost controversially. He is the most experienced compared to the other two. Next is his kinsmen the Fulanis whose votes always determine the winner of the presidential elections in Nigeria. He is banking on them to do it for him so that he will get votes from the other regions to consolidate it. His wives are from the 3 major ethnic groups in Nigeria. The inlaws may vote for him to have their own as a president of the most popular black nation.

3. Bola Ahmed Tinubu: he is another political juggernaut but senescence has set in and no one can fight the ineluctable ageing process. There are also opponents within who believe that his presence has denied them opportunities. Such people will likely use this opportunity against him. The use of agberos and other street urchins is also what the people don't like about him. There is fear that if he wins the agberos will be legalised. For example, in Lagos where he has been a governor, most people don't like his leadership style because of the notoriety of the omo'oniles who have annexed their land. Others are rumours that have not been proven.
When it comes to strength he is a candidate that has all that it takes to win an election. His financial muscle alone can do it for him. For example, during the primary election, it was reported that while other candidates were buying voters he bought candidates. Do you know what that means? To every candidate that he bought the already-bought voters are his. He later had a landslide win. He is banking on his financial muscle to carry the day. Next is that he has never lost an election. Since 1992 it has always been a success in every election he contests. His popularity speaks volumes. The name Tinubu is a household name in politics and he has been winning whenever he supports a candidate. Not supporting a candidate is tantamount to failure. Now he is the one supporting himself. What it means is that those that he has been supporting will reciprocate. This is a huge advantage.
Politics / Re: Tinubu’s Gaffes Result Of Campaign Pressure – APC PCC (Video) by Nwanna2588: 6:11pm On Feb 13, 2023
I don't like propaganda but the truth is that those gaffes were a truth that underlies reality. There is no doubt that senescence has set in and Tinubu is trying to fight the ineluctable ageing process by purporting that he is more age younger than he is.
The crux of his inability to get things done like in his prime days is senile dementia that characterises senescence.
Go and ask footballers who tried to impose themselves to play during their advanced age you will know better. I repeat age is ineluctable and anything short of quitting when the ovation is the highest will amount to nothing than becoming a target of the public's satire. It is aptly said that "You cannot eat your cake and have it".
The best thing to do whenever you are beset by insurmountable pressure is to be yourself and not give in. Now he has accepted to run knowing fully that he is not capable. The end will be a public disgrace. The type that will cause his family members and loved ones to wince whenever it is mentioned.
He can succeed in using every tool of dissimulation he has to keep the media from learning of his weaknesses but when the time comes it will be made public.
Politics / Re: Do You Agree With This Presidential Election Prediction By The Nation Newspaper? by Nwanna2588: 10:51am On Feb 13, 2023
I don't take the prediction as a knell because the nation's newspaper is Tinubu they can't say what will not benefit Tinubu. The day APC lost the election was the day they conducted the primary election using financial strength as a way of getting their candidate. The VP would have been a better candidate for the presidential election. To suppose that APC will secure victory without the people considering Tinubus's senescence is a chimerical idea.
The Nation did not consider the people's candidate before concluding that prediction. The people's candidate is Peter Obi and he is sure of South East and South-south. Lagos is also sure if the election will be free and fair, and the remaining Southwest States will also deliver but not like their other two Southern state's counterparts.
In the north, the North Central popularly called Middle Belt is a sure bet with Benue topping other states in the region. Abuja is a sure bet also.
The core North will give a below-average as expected but with the addition of the aforementioned regions, Obi is a goal! Take it or you leave it.

Politics / Re: Dele Sobowale: Atiku Will Win Most Nigeria's Disputed Election by Nwanna2588: 9:42am On Feb 13, 2023
The book of Deuteronomy18:22 says if it's not of God it will not come true. There is a difference between prophecy and speculation. The prior is of God and must always come true while the latter is tantamount to guessing things and luck can make it real.
The question Is, is Sobowale a prophet? If the answer is no then he is speculating and he is not different from those in the beer parlour that has been saying it. Having said that, I am going to say what he didn't put into contrivance.
He is a fervid supporter of Atiku and nothing else. During the last election, some of us were like that but have long stopped it. There was even a time that some were saying that Supreme Court will surely make it work but here we are.
The 2023 election is just a few days ahead and I must tell you that all the front 3 candidates cannot beat their chest that the pendulum will swing to their favour now. So coming online to give a depressing augury about others and single out who will carry the day is just like...

Sobowale's prediction did not put into a contrivance that rigging those candidates he is banking on may not favour them this time around. Something happened in the Nigerian Army some years back. They were 2 Generals who were after their candidates to get into the army during a recruitment exercise. It was tough that another Superior heard it. The Superior waged in the matter and it was later resolved that they should be no preferential treatment for any candidate. Guess what! At the end of the recruitment exercise, none of the candidates on the 2 Generals' side made it! Candidates from nowhere were listed and they were enlisted into the Nigerian Army.
Another thing that the prediction did not take into a contrivance is the popularity of the two candidates which does not match that of one of the candidates he has ruled out. Throughout history dark horse has taken the stage in many competitions leaving the oddsmaker's favourites to look amateur. The recent in France where a young man emerged as a president beating candidates of the country's popular political parties.
When the 2 candidates he is tipping have become the target of criticism and abuse. The two are like the proverbial "Two cutlasses that were taken to fetch firewood" one is sharp but the handle is not good while the remaining one is blunt but has a good handle. This is not to talk about what the two share in common. Senescence has set in and they can hardly hide it no matter how they falsify their age.

Politics / Re: 2023: Obi Can Only Win Presidential Election If We Come Together – Kwankwaso by Nwanna2588: 2:42pm On Feb 11, 2023
While Kwankwaso was once a political juggernaut, today his fame is teetering on the brink. There is no doubt that his pairing with Obi would have been a formidable one but he turned it down. Since that day he turned down that offer he has not made a wave in politics like before. Several disillusioned NNPP party members have switched to another political party leaving him to wallow in self-pity.
It is upsetting to watch the political juggernaut vaunt his supposed experience this way. NNPP is now a political party that lacks the power to win an election outside Kano. Merging with LP would have made it a national party. Because of flaccid support, the party is no more a force to reckon with.
I adjure him to step down and beg for a merger before it will be late. Since his propaganda is not working, he should switch.

Politics / Re: Lot Of People Migrated From The SE Just To Vote In Lagos - Lagos INEC REC. by Nwanna2588: 1:41pm On Feb 10, 2023
As it can be told by the INEC man's submission, he is afraid that if nothing is done Igbos are on the verge of forming a bloc vote in Lagos. He should be neutral as it is required of him. His speech is nothing else than highlighting the sectionalism of the "them versus us" mentality destroying our nation.
He made an avowal of loyalty before taking that post so he should keep to it. How can he be squawking about the presence of the Igbos in Lagos? Are there no other ethnic groups' names on the ballot?
Igbos are in Lagos boosting the economy of the state. Nobody is praising them for that. I will stop here but believe me, the man has an agglomeration of complaints against himself which is why he is not going to be in that office longer.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: UK Opens Door For Nigerian Teachers by Nwanna2588: 11:54am On Feb 04, 2023
You have posted what has unwittingly supported my stance. How can some people be deriving joy in extorting others? We are all graduates pursuing an agenda and now somebody took a different dimension that he can now help us do it better. The first question is if he is among the British team that will come to Nigeria on that day. Bet me he is not. Does he know any of the personnel that will come? The answer is still no. So why claim to help others?
Few things are as annoying as this. I pity those graduates that still fall for such. Before this, there was an agent that was charging N5,000 consultation fees for filling out forms for the job. This is even when candidates did not know whether their course of study is among them. Even though many have been duped in the past, they are still many who have not learnt their lesson.
I know of an insider among the team that is in charge of this in the UK. The last time I chatted with him if he can make the trip to Nigeria. His answer was maybe. Meaning that he is not sure and now somebody in Nigeria is claiming he can do it. I am overwhelmed by a feeling of dubiety. I am not sure this guy can do it. The UK system is not the Nigerian system anything can go.
Before now, there was an assurance that it is thrown open to every graduate now we can see that it is strictly for made' teachers.
Only God knows whether those that have earlier paid N5,000 are refunded. Extorting others is frowned upon in other places but here it is not.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How Long Should You wait before you Follow Up After A Job Interview? by Nwanna2588: 6:04pm On Feb 03, 2023
An average job seeker is in dire need of it after an interview. The economic hardship that most job seekers are facing does not justify the delay as many have said here. Even though employers are not ready to employ the candidate that passed immediately they should carry them along. Keeping silent is killing.
When it comes to making decisions that affect other people you should be careful about it. I know a job seeker that is agonising his leaving a job that was paying him peanuts thinking that he has landed a job he passed the interview. Still, on it, he is yet to receive an invitation.
All these can kill. Delay is dangerous. After acting in a rude fashion subjecting candidates to answer all kinds of questions it is not good to dash their hope.

This is a cliche we have heard a thousand times. Based on the preponderance of the suffering in Nigeria, I don't have a choice but to relocate to such a highbrow country. As a teacher in Nigeria, I'm living in a 'survival mode'. I cannot remember the last time I save money.
If I'm indignant it is because some of you that are based abroad have forgotten in a hurry how most of us are living from hand to mouth here. Honestly, I do not like you in that manner, and I wish you would stop advising me on this.
I can only believe this when Nigerians based in the UK are coming home in mass without going back again.
Since I had merely N100k in my name after almost 2 decades in teaching, I saw the japa thing as a very big opportunity. I prefer to pay taxes and have something to save than working in Nigeria without saving money.
May be your advice is good for people that have made their mark in Nigeria.
