I hear you but I am considering the home lessons in the two. I was told that Lekki lesson can be up to N50K or more depending on one's bargaining power.
Emeritusseun:

You want us to advise you and you want to kill us with oyinbo abi....kontinu...
Anyway, I would advise you go for the best, which I think is the second place.
And now the other one Magodo to be precise I don't think that the lesson can be like that of Lekki

Please choose for me. It is urgent. I recently secured a teaching job in one of the highbrow areas of Lagos. The job is with accommodation and resumption is on 13th. Now another that is a N120 fare away from my place of residence has called and the deal is almost sealed. The later is paying N20K higher than the prior.
The problem now is that I have packed to the prior as the owner wants me to come and be acclimatised with the environment. Already I have written lesson notes up to the sixth week.
I am also faced with accommodation problem because I stay in a slovenly environment that is prone to flooding. I have been looking for a way to pack out because of the aforementioned problem.
Folks, I am ambivalent of which trajectory to follow. The two are at the highbrow area of Lagos. What is your advice here?

Culture / Re: Five Interesting Traditional Dances From Eastern Nigeria by Nwanna2588: 11:34pm On Sep 12, 2018
As a young boy brought up in Igbo land, I know Ohafia to be the originator of the war dance in question. We used to know them those days as 'oji isi acho isi', 'Ebiriba oji azu agba egwu', etc. are all what fellow Igbos used to address them with.
The war dance is unique and has on many occasions been the cynosure of all eyes. For example, during the burial of the late Odumegwu Ojukwu, they were also invited to demonstrate the war dance. The whole credit goes to Ohafia not Arochukwu. I blame the ignorance of this to the history that has been removed in Nigerian's schools.
Even some years back, corps members from Ohafia won accolades for presenting it during the cultural competition held nationwide and they won as they registered the unique dancing steps that triggered the atavistic memories of those days.
I am not from Ohafia. I am here to correct the misleading information.

And Nkwa Umu agbogho is associated with Afikpo people of the Southern Ebonyi State.
Yes. It should be known that Zik married from Afikpo (Ehugbo) after watching it. Uche Azikiwe danced it and the late Zik was hypnotised.

Politics / Re: Chris Ngige: I Am Considering Contesting For A Senatorial Seat by Nwanna2588: 12:11pm On Aug 21, 2018
seunmsg:
Senate presidency on Ngige's mind. If Igbo's fail to vote him and APC this time around, it is their loss since Akpabio from the south south has already positioned himself for that seat. In politics, you calculate and position yourself for opportunities. Ngige is simply positioning himself for the Senate presidency next year.
Igbos are too wise to be deceived with that. We have tasted it and don't care if we are given it or not.

Did the people complain to you?

Every state have it's peculiarities and Bauchi is one.

What about Kogi East, Tiv in Benue, Saraki area in Kwara central, etc?

Politics / Re: Bauchi South Senatorial Bye-Election: Live Updates by Nwanna2588: 11:10am On Aug 11, 2018
How can only one senatorial zone be ruling the state! It is not good. We don't tolerate that in SE. Even in Ebonyi, where the south senatorial zone has only 23% of votes, they still rule.
They should allow the power to rotate.

Politics / Re: Majority Of One-third Out Of Overall Senate Members Can Impeach Saraki – Sagay by Nwanna2588: 6:10pm On Aug 10, 2018
Votes are to be held in abeyance until all members are present. There is no one-third quorum stated in our constitution. I don't need your kind of lesson. A situation where legerdemain should be applied in ousting an elected politician is a rape to democracy.
Butterflyleo:

Too many words from you yet saying nothing.

We try to explain it to you and you still refuse to learn.

The total number of the senators are 109

Half of that number is roughly 54

A simple majority means 54 or above. Say 55 , 56, 57 senators present .

That number becomes the simple majority of the members of the house.

That simple majority forms a quorum because it is already above 1/3 of the total membership of the house and they then effect his impeachment with the votes of 2/3 of the simple majority present.

This isn't hard to understand so just in case you are still struggling to understand what I just typed, then read it again.

This is what Sagay is trying to say.

Trying to create parity between what is clearly wrong and what is clearly correct is nothing more than madness. I believe this was a subconscious response of him. He will soon be troubled by subconscious recollections of what he said here.
The conjecture does not match a professor like him.

Politics / Re: Umahi Condemns Renaming Of Abakaliki Street In Anambra by Nwanna2588: 2:31pm On Jul 01, 2018
It's getting to two decades now since I came to Lagos. I've not seen the type of discrimination that I've seen among my Igbo folks. Some Anambra people are the epitome of what is wrong with Igbo people. Despite that they hold the record of bringing the highest disgrace to Igbos, they still stereotype others inappropriately. Even among them, an Nnewi man will never agree that an Ozubulu man worths it. They have this saying "Amakam ife n'Ozubulu bu ofeke na Nnewi." Meaning that the most intelligent among the Ozubulus is a fool in Nnewi! This same Anambra people will tell you that Ihiala is not a proper Anambra that they belong to the Imos. The list continues.
Cyynthialove:
Rivalry, agreement and disagreement are inevitable because those things are characteristics of human being. Once you remove the aforementioned, then humanity seize to exist.

Even here in Yoruba land, the discrimination is more stronger that we thought. Ife and Modakeke no dey take eyes see each other, Ife don't marry Modakeke and vice versa.
What of Ogun, some of my people are afraid to marry Ogun man due to juju . As for Ijebu, we see them as lesser Yorubas and have no regards for them.
I don't want to discuss about Yoruba Christians vs Yoruba Muslims because even kids can read the handwriting on the wall concerning such matter ..

Summary: Every tribe has internal crisis, but always quick to come together and fight their common enemies.

While I am not here to criticise them in renaming their street, I want them to know that research at disposal shows intelligence is unique to each person and does not correlate to a specific race or gender.

As for Ebonyi, they should leave them to name their street whatever they like. Let the sleeping dog lie.

Every fuel attendant has the right to collect keg charges. How much is #50 or #100 that you can't overlook. Those people suffer to make sure you have fuel in your car, at the end of the month they are paid peanuts yet you can't appreciate them with a token?
Your toxicity is what will take this country backward. Continue encouraging corruption.

Sports / Re: Mikel Obi – Why I Rejected Man United For Chelsea by Nwanna2588: 8:01am On Jun 28, 2018
Mikel has a threatening profile that no Nigerian players has at the moment. He's the only player that has been a skipper to all the national teams in Nigeria.
Just check all those that started with him and see that they are no where near him. Going by his appearances in all the national teams, there is no Nigerian players that has equalled his record. He is no doubt the most capped Nigerian players when put together.
