Its simply because women are more religious that men. That isnt unrelated to the fact that they r more emotional and less logical than men. Emotions like fear of the unknown drives one to look for a refuge. Some women are also obsessed with their search for husbands or fruits of the womb.

You guys advocating the 'saturday-for-sabbath-or-face-the-consequences' theory need to know this. True, Sunday isnt the sabbath day, but Saturday isnt the Sabbath day either. The Jews used the moon for their dating and not the calendar we use today. The first day of the month was the 'day of the new moon' (Ezekiel 46:1; Isa 66:23), and wasn't counted as a working day... The first working day (1st day of the week) was the day after a new moon or a sabbath day. Count 6 working days... The seventh was the sabbath. That way the sabbath always fell on the 8th day, 15th day, 22nd day and 29th day of the month (note that it is 'day' not 'date'). If you doubt this read your scriptures and try looking for one sabbath day mentioned that didnt fall on any of these days.
What is more, Jewish days started at sunset, not midnight like we count ours.
The law was a tutor leading to Christ. Now that Christ has come, we no longer need a tutor. What matters is that we give God exclusive devotion (that was the aim of the Jewish sabbath). However, if you are a die-hard sabbath fan, then you should observe the lunar sabbaths, and not saturday or sunday by our calendar. If something is worth doing, then its worth doing well.

I beg to differ from the op, most crimes are as a result of greed, not poverty. There are poor people who are content with what their hardwork gives them.
Nice idea though but with our mentality, it would not be a success. Here are some reasons why...
(1) We do not have an accurate data base system.
(2) The average human is greedy and would want to take more than his share if he can.
(3) Some people would not even bother trying to work anymore since money would always come at the end of the month.
(4) Nigerian leaders would quickly finger it as one of the reasons for their failure in leadership and would try to remove it (like fuel subsidy).
(5) Corruption in the distribution chain. The money wouldnt even get to the masses.

(1) Why were Jesus' followers referred to in the Bible as Christians and not even once as Catholic?
(2) Why were two attendees banished for refusing to sign the Nicean Creed at that first council of Nicea?
(3) Why were people caught in posession of Bibles tagged 'heretics' and burned with their Bibles by the Church in Rome? (do your research on 'The Dark Ages')
(4) What was the Spanish Inquisition?
(5) What church was in the middle of all that bloodshed in the Dark Ages and Spanish Inquisition?
(6) Where was the infallible pope in those periods?
(7) Did he (each pope in those times) support the bloodshed?
( 8 ) If he didnt what did he do about it?
(9) Why did Popes Sixtus IV and Innocent VIII repeatedly bend to the wishes of King Ferdinard during the spanish inquisition?

(1) I believe in the Bible and thus do not reject Mary. However I do not see her as my intercessor or mediator (Jesus is the only way to God), neither is worship of her pivotal to my salvation (Faith in Jesus sacrifice is what would give life).

Mary worship has no place in the scriptures.
On one occassion, a woman said to Jesus "Blessed is the the womb that carried you and the breasts you sucked". Jesus replied "rather, blessed are those hearing the word of God and keeping it". (Luke 1:27,28)
That says alot. Mary was God-fearing, else, she wouldnt have been "highly favoured" to be used by God to give birth to the messiah. Like the rest of us, her salvation depended on her faith in Jesus, and not on her giving birth to Jesus. Saying Mary intercedes for you is baseless and so wrong! That's what Jesus does, that's why the bible calls him our mediator. Before you argue this with me, read 1 Tim 2:5. Incase you have no bible there, it says...
"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus"

Yes Mary was blessed. Giving birth to the Messiah the Son of God is a blessing no other woman has ever had nor ever will. That is why she is called blessed among women. But making images of her, praying through her, or claiming she remained a virgin all her life? That is just Idolatory!

Who cares how old protestant churches are? The oldest man isnt always the most truthful. What is more, the Roman Catholic Church was just a state religion of the pagan roman world power. Its easy to see how pagan doctrines have been married to true christianity. You say the catholic church lived hugged n kissed Jesus and Mary. Here are the facts: Emperor Constantine named it the Roman Catholic (meaning 'Universal' just as his empire was) Church and made it the official religion of his empire. You stated that he converted in 313 AD (4th century), and that the first Basilica was built in that same year. Ever heard of the council of Nicaea held in 325AD? That was where most doctrines (like trinity) were made official doctrines of the church. If the above facts are true (all in the 4th century), and the last apostle (John) died in the first century, how is it you say Catholic is the first church? Or didnt the apostles of Jesus belong to any church?
Maybe you are right, the apostles were just Christians... True ones! And Peter never had any successor. The line of Apostles ended with John's death. Its intresting to note that they didnt see Mary the way you guys see her. They didnt teach her perpetual virginity as she had other children after Jesus like James and Jude who were Bible writers (Matt 13:53-56), didnt worship her, never mentioned her in other parts of the Bible outside the Gospels, except in one of Paul's letters in which she was only spoken of as "a woman" (Gal 4:4). Enough said.

Thats made it the world's oldest institution & the mother of every penticostal church in any part of the world. Without whom there is no new testament of the bible. where catholic church for see Jesus? Unless u mean Jesus' apostles were catholics. The Roman Catholic Church only came into existence with Emperor Constantine, they formally adopted unbiblical doctrines like the tag and worship of Mary as 'the Mother of God', veneration of the saints...
