People get attracted to opposite sex everyday. There is nothing wrong with that. What is wrong is when the attraction leads to wrongful desires.

Your husband need not feel insecure with that, or what will he do if you have to give sincere and true compliments to other sex in his presence?

Im sensing trouble here. Its like to wife has done something that the house maid knows about and she feels the best way to cover up was to prevent the housemaid for talking to you.

may be you will have to go back home early again and try to talk to that house maid u might just get some vital info. who knows
The above doesnt make much sense.

@OP

I think your wife is only taking a preventive measure here. She doesn't want any familiarization that will lead to temptation and other ugly incidents to develop. There are so many unpleasant stories of housemaids/ogas out there. Prevention they say is better than cure. Take it that your wife is only protecting you and the family, and try not to make any fuss about it. Though you might tell your wife that any issue that put the life of your kids/family in danger is serious enough to warrant your attention.

Trust me it is better and safer when these housemaids are TOTALLY handled by the Madam of the house.

What is tribal with this post? Some of you guys are so tribalistic. Ok,lets change the character to Emeka(not real name) is from imo state(real state). Hope yall are now satisfied?

@nadneth
I wish you navigate more on Nairaland to understand the motive of the OP.

Olu (Not real name) from Osun State(Real State) {was this necessary to convey the message}

@OP
When i finished reading the story, i thought there would be part2 where the real disgrace will be told.

Olu (Not real name) from Osun State(Real State) , just went through the regular JCC induction in Utah.  This is not a big deal OP

Thamks my brother, me too was waiting for part 2 ,where we will hear the real disgrace,

this story just shows u how wicked naijas leaving outside can be, full of jealousies and enviousness

so the guy came from a naija from a different background to urs, and he obviously had money to buy a car and he bought one, shoot him for that

ok so he made a mistake not registering and insuring it afor which he paid the penalty for by having his car impounded,

his mum fell sick and he tried to find a job ,he moved to atlanta,that didnt turn out right,he moved back to utah and joined a religious group,all in the bid of finding a job,but he slippped, let him , who has no sin,cast the first stone

this guy  didnt steal o,he didnt do 419 o,  or something illegal,he was just trying to find a job and yet your post is ( Re: Nigerians Who Disgrace Us Abroad: True Live Story Of Olu As A Case Study ),

this can only just be wickedness,as someone suggested, u were happy he fell,cos of your own jealousy,

if he felt u guys were truly his friends  ,he wont have moved all the way to atlanta to live with a complete stranger just to survive,

Shows what a wonderful nigerian man u r

olu should be the one posting this post with title, Nigerian students in Utah,wot a bunch of losers!
Exactly my tots. If the OP is truly a 'friend', he wouldn't be here exaggerating mater and castigating his 'friend' online.

When I saw the topic on the front page, I was expecting to read of a Nigerian who raped, murdered, stole or swindled someone

Everything Olu did, some Americans do them too. So what is the big deal? The guy only lacks good advice and has to learn the hard way.

The amount in your purse is irrelevant to how you're dressed . One of ma points, on this topic. BUT, I think you should direct that comment at Tolurara. I only followed her example.
Ask her how it's possible to maintain such a lifestyle with just $45 in the wallet.
The OP complain is about maintaining such lifestyle with "credit card debt of over $5000"

And believe me, there are many women who do that. It is plain stupidity.

I have no problem with men taking over some of these responsibilities you listed. I will do them with all joy. I love cooking too cheesy

But the point am making is that women should not allow anything or anyone (including husbands & children) to stop them from looking after their health.
FamilyRe: Married Women Going Fat by OAM4J: 4:37am On Nov 10, 2010
Outstrip:
How many Nigerian men here are okay with their wives leaving them with the kids for two hours four days a week to go to the gym
How many of you will pay for a personal trainer for her if she is not able to
How many of you men including the poster will watch the baby from 8am to 9am so that mummy can go for a walk around the block
You people are so full of poo poo. How many of you will agree to come home from work 4 days a week and madam goes to the gym from work rather than come home and fix dinner. How many of you can even handle this 2 days a week. At the end of the day it is the women that I blame. If you decide to be as selfish as these undeserving men he will quickly realize that you are way out of his league. Stay single and if you do not then do not expect your wife to get pregnant or get older. Just adopt a kid so that that way you can guarantee that she will stay slim
What about using some of those time spent in gossiping 'gisting' with Iya basira & co? or reducing some of the time spent in church and other association meetings?

You can blame men and others for your misery for all you can, but the fact is; the misery still lies with you. I will say women should take responsibility for their health.

Keshi ready to parley with Siasia
. . . To assist him

Super Eagles’ former captain, Stephen Keshi, arrived Abuja yesterday for an interview date for the Super Eagles manager's job, assuring that he would bring his winning aura back to the national team.

The big Boss as he is popularly called had arrived the country Monday morning
and went straight to his Benin home from where he flew to Abuja yesterday for the interview slated for November 4 at the NFA Glass House secretariat.

He told Daily Sunsports on phone that he was ready for the interview and restated his willingness to work with Siasia if he gets the job to coach the Eagles, adding that he would talk with Siasia and see how they could work out something between them.

“We are friends and have come a long way and coaching the Super Eagles cannot tear us apart. I just pray, he would agree to work with me for the benefit of the country. I have assisted many coaches and I don't see any reason why he cannot assist me. If he gets the job, I will not grudge him rather, I would wish him well,” he said.

SportsRe: Who Is The Most Qualified Coach Between Stephen Keshi And Samson Siasia? by OAM4J: 3:20am On Nov 03, 2010
I’ve lots of respect for Keshi – Siasia

Former Flying Eagles manager Samson Siasia has said he has a lot of respect for his former teammate Stephen Keshi as both coaches prepare to face the Nigeria Football Federation technical committee for the vacant Super Eagles job on Thursday.

Siasia, who denied criticising the composition of the committee, told our correspondenta on the telephone on Tuesday that he was confident of getting the post.

”There‘s no way I‘d have criticised anyone for a job they‘re yet to do,” the Heartland coach said.

“I respect Keshi a lot, right from our playing days and I believe whoever the committee decides to take eventually deserves the job.

”Nigerian football needs transformation and dynamism and that‘s what I intend to bring when I take over the team.”

The committee was inaugurated on Tuesday and has since commenced profiling the two coaches ahead of the interview Chris Green, Adegboye Onigbinde, Christian Chukwu and Austin Okocha are some of the members.

Meanwhile, Siasia has said he is concentrating on Heartland‘s opening game against Gombe United on Sunday, adding that he had strengthened the team with new players.

”I‘m prepared to manage the Eagles but I‘m not losing focus on what I want to achieve with Heartland,” he said.

”We‘ve signed young players that are capable of winning the league.”
