zuchyblink: as usual always afraid and ashamed of saying the truth, the hallmark of Nigerians. Truth you say?... You mean your continous proliferation of mental slavery? A theory that everyone else in Nigeria is ganging up day and night like witches to ensure Igbos dont succeed? A theory that every one else (or perhaps just Yorubas and Hausas) are responsible for every problem faced by am Igbo man? I asked a question, which tribe in Nigeria is enjoying economic Utopia? Which person in Nigeria, big or small, doesnt have challenges? An answer is needed to these question since the narrative since thy kingdom come has always been that everyone else is enjoying and happy while only Igbos are being held down and oppressed by our failed system. One day millions of people who reason like you will come to a realisation of the picture below.

Which tribe or ethnic group in Nigeria is having a smooth sail? Why does the narrative always have to be Igbo Igbo Igbo Igbo Igbo as if to say every other tribe in Nigeria is enjoying economic Utopia and Igbos alone are being pulled down by everyone else?... What kind of perpetual and ridiculous blame game is this? Everyone else is responsible for Igbo challenges! The sooner the peddlers of this nonsensical "it is only Igbos that are facing challenges in Nigeria" narrative realise how silly it sounds, and how this mental entanglement is the true culprit pulling Igbos down, the better. |

zuchyblink: Air Peace: This Entire Stuff Smells of Nigerian/ International Conspiracy Like I always say, no matter how strong your allegiance for Nigeria is, provided you came from Igboland, Nigerians and Nigerian government will still come after you to frustrate you in business. Don't be surprised that those who outnumbered other ethnic groups that were rescued from South Africa by this man are involved in this setup, in collaboration with foreign airline operators. Till when will these Igbo business moguls understand that they can't flourish in one Nigeria that they always try to belong to, till when will they understand that no matter how hard they try to identify with one Nigeria, that the Fulanis and the Yorubas will never love them? They did this to: - Engr. Ezekiel Izuogu who was the first automobile producer in black Africa, who produced a prototype he called Z300 automobile, he was frustrated and silenced till today. - Ibeto Who owned a chemical plant in the USA, and also produced a large scale of cement and planned to flood the Nigerian market with it in a very low price of $1 per bag, he was frustrated and was forced out of production of cement while those cements were still on the high seas upon till this day, he also pays dumorage for them till this moment. - Innoson Who started automobile production of cars and other vehicles and planned to give brand new vehicles to Nigerians at loan basis to help the common man in Nigeria to own a car, he is also being frustrated by harsh government policies using Yoruba Bank and other means to frustrate him despite he is producing long lasting jet batteries and helicopter breaking system for the Nigerian army, yet the government keep frustrating him because they feel he comes from the wrong region. - What about Engr. Prof. Bath Nnaji The former minister of power who really wanted to bring Nigerians out of darkness by creating over 10 000 KVA of electricity to prove he can comfortably end the lack of electricity supply to the homes of Nigerians, who also was the owner of Geometrics power plant, but he was also frustrated as well and that dream died a natural death while Nigerians remained in darkness till this day. Yet they keep on believing in a system that abhores and hates them with passion for being extra ordinary and for excelling in everything they put their hands to do. Till when will enough be enough? Till when will they come together and join these young generation to demand for their freedom knowing that they will flourish and propser more in their own country where their government will even help their dreams and innovations to manifest into fruition? Till when will this spell fall off from their eyes? Till when? By Princewill Akubumma Enough of all these nonsense paranoia, victim mentality and mental slavery. Businessmen of every tribe and race face challenges every now and then. Ibeto or Innoson or Onyeama arent the only Nigerian businessmen to face challenges. This endless "it is because he is Igbos" nonsensical persecution mentality is sickening and just has to stop. |

Wiseandtrue: Was landing cost not there when it was sold for N87
Shuooooooo
Why didn't Buhari talk about this landing cost during GEJ regime because he was strongly opposing it due to the untold hardship it will bring to the citizens then
So what has changed What manner of hypocrisy is this You talked about arguing with facts, I'm not arguing with you; I'm just giving you very simple information. Nigeria imports almost every drop of petrol it consumes from abroad. At the time when the fixed pump price was N87, the total cost of getting the petrol to your stations was about N145 so the govt covered the additional cost of about N58 (i.e. subsidy) for you to be able to buy it for N87. When govt said they removed subsidy and fuel price jumped to N145, the govt simply stopped paying the additional N58 (a.k.a subsidy was stopped). But with the government still fixing the pump price at N145, things are bound to change if import cost increases. Now due to increase in oil price, the total cost to get the petrol to your stations is now about N164. For you to be able to still pay N145, it means the govt is currently covering the additional ~N19 (a.k.a subsidy). I think this explanation is fairly easy to understand. |

Then the continuity in paying the SAME SUBSIDY is a testament that Buhari is fantastically corrupt!!!
Argue with facts!!! Subsidy was removed when landing cost was N145. But now the landing cost is N145+N19.37 (due to marginal increase in oil price) but you still pay the same N145 per litre; how? Meanwhile the only enormous scam here is how Nigeria can be said to be consuming 55 million litres of petrol pre day. |

DontBeStupid: Yemi has always been an audio VP, he never commanded the powers of a real VP. The cabal always ordered him around.
Whether he resigns or not, the fact is that yemi is powerless - he has no say. He would continue to serve the interests of the cabal.
Thats how he got the names - mere commissioner, errand boy etc.
He cant even defend his faith, so most christians wont give him the support he desperately needs now. Even his brothers (odumakin & co) dont care about him.
He was warned, yet he signed up for it. He must face the consequences. Oga keep your advice to yourself; Yemi doesnt need it. You desperately want to see him fight his boss, so you can roll out your drums and dance in jubilation over his downfall when shit hit the fan, you simply want to see his downfall, the downfall of 'your enemy'. But he's smarter than that, YES he's smarter than you and will not do anything stupid which you want him to. Meanwhile he has achieved far more than you can ever achieve in your life no matter how hard you try to belittle him. Every discerning adult knows that the powers of VPs are very very limited, not just in Nigeria, but also in places like the US where we copied our presidential system of government. Everybody knows VPs are more like ceremonial appendages of the presidency whose authority is purely dependent on whatever the president chooses to assign to him. Yet you want him to challenge the president and to what purpose? Yes he's a weak man, he's a mere commissioner, he's a sissy boy, call him whatever you like. That notwithstanding, Yemi remains one of the most active VPs Nigeria has ever produced; that explains why he's always on the news and why his name is always on the lips of his pained God forsaken haters. If you doubt it, honestly tell me whether you ever heard the name of GEJ or Sambo when they were VPs.... And by the way, true Christians still have regard for him and pray for him daily; it's only jealous demonic bile filled haters who hated and never supported him from day 1 that still dont regard him till date (no need to act like the disregard started today; that faćade is too clear). If it pains anyone so bad that Yemi wouldn't yield to your evil plans to go fight his boss (of which your true aim is to see his downfall), biko go hug a transformer. I wish I could like this comment below more than once. festacman: Surprising that Bloomberg fell for this mischievous narratives inspired by the opposition. In US, does the Economic Advisory Council advise Pres. Trump or VP Pence? The answer says it all.
It is important to emphasize that the influence, which VP Yemi Osinbajo enjoyed and exerted during first 4 years in office was largely due to Pres. Buhari's ill-health and loyalty. It is this influence that people are mistaking today as convention rather than conscious concession. Let's face it. How influential was VP Jonathan under Pres. Yar'adua or VP Sambo under Pres. Jonathan. Pres. Obasanjo who conceeded too much to VP Atiku regretted it. I am sure while sincere supporters moan on his behalf and mischievous haters display their mockery, VP Osinbajo will remain grateful to Pres. Buhari for that rare 'freehand' opportunity, which endeared him to Nigerians and catapulted his political worth.
The fact remains that in Presidential System of Government, the VP is an appendage of the President. The President is the executive Head of Government and Commander-in-Chief. This is captured in the constitution. I am sure that as someone who taught and practised law, VP Osinbajo knows his place. It is so in United States from where we borrowed the system.
Now, take a look at what some former United States VPs said about the post they once occupied:
“I am not in a leadership position. I am supporting the president. He can exert the leadership and I can support him.” — Nelson Rockefeller, the 41st vice president
The vice presidency is “not worth a bucket of warm piss” and “the worst damn fool mistake I ever made.” — John Nance Garner, the 32nd vice president
“The vice presidency is the most insignificant office that ever the invention of man contrived or his imagination conceived.” — John Adams, the 1st vice president
“Look at all the vice presidents in history. Where are they? They were about as useful as a cow’s fifth teat.” — Harry Truman, the 34th vice president
“I would a great deal rather be anything, say professor of history, than vice president.” — Theodore Roosevelt, the 25th vice president
"You shut the door, you tell the boss exactly what you think. But when the door opens, the job of the vice president is to stand right next to the president and implement the policy that he's decided. And I'm prepared to do that. - Mike Pence currently serving as the 48th vice president of the United States
“I do not propose to be buried until I am really dead.” — New Hampshire Sen. Daniel Webster, on rejecting an offer to be future President William Henry Harrison’s running mate in 1839 |

CanadaOrBust: I have searched the internet, I can’t find any other time it has been done, not even in history (I mean carrying a bill to a foreign country to give a prez to sign). If u can find an instance let us know. If it is no big deal why was the constitution amended so that after 21 days the NA must mandate the VP to take over the govt? Muhammadu Buhari is the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, not Osinbajo. It is the president's prerogative to decide if he wants to sign a document himself, or if he wants his deputy to sign it for him; it is also his prerogative to choose if he wants to sign it in his office, or in a hotel or in Abuja or Sokoto or London; enough of this noise making over nothingness. By signing a sheet of paper whilst in Nigeria House London, as opposed to Abuja, the president has broken no existing Nigerian laws (True or False). The 21 days Law was instituted to forestall a nasty situation like the Yaradua saga where there was a vacuum in leadership. If Buhari is sound enough to sign a document even on camera, how is that a vacuum of leadership? Under our presidential system of government (even under the American system which we claim to copy), VPs have very limited powers; they are more like mere ceremonial assistants to the president. The VP Osinbajo is a seasoned lawyer who knows his job and who knows the limits of his powers and authority; so he's not complaining. Quit drinking panadol for him! The VP is also an extremely calm and collected man of wisdom who can read from several miles, the evil manipulations of his detractors (claiming to be friends) who are hell bent on forcing him to pick a fight with his boss. Whether you like it or not, Osinbajo still takes the honour as one of the most influential VPs Nigeria has ever produced despite the typical lack of authority of VPs. That partly explains why his name is always on the news and on the lips of his haters and 'bad-wishers'). When GEJ or Sambo were VPs, did you ever hear of their names or even know of their existence? |
