hammerD:Nothing new about your brain not getting the point. |
Akpiiiiii! ![]() |
AbleGod7555:That is the exact duty of a chief of staff all over the world. It is not the duty of a VP to take letters to the president to sign; it is also not the duty of anyone else but the CoS to receive official and private visitors on behalf of the presdient. There is nothing wrong or unusual about the role played by the CoS here. People should educate themselves. |
Chukapage:My comment had nothing to do with supporting any political candidate like you alluded to... you don't see me coming on this forum to support any politician anymore; elections are long over and i didnt even supporr any candidate in the last election. But this is purely common sense being elusive on this thread and it's nauseating just sitting down and reading nonsense lamentations. There was no urgency in that bill that it couldnt wait till the president returns in 2 weeks. So for whatever reason the bill was taken to him to be signed in London, I do not know, and you also do not know. It may be that his chief of staff was in london for some other official business and decided to take the opportunity to get the document to the president; the fact is that we both dont know. My comment was strictly referring to the argument of the VP not being allowed to sign the bill instead; a simple common sense answer it is - the VP is the VP and not the president. The president did not handover to the VP this time because he constitutionally didnt need to. |
DrCruz:Your entire family and generation are the illiterate fools you talk about. The president doesnt need to handover to the VP if hes going to be away for less than 21 days. Thats simply what the constitution says so my esrlier comment was simply to point out how irrelevant the uproar on this thread was. My statement had absolutely nothing to do with political support of anybody; I dont like the way the cabal treats the VP, but on this one, this outrage is needless and mostly just out of ignorance and actually even hatred for the VP (strangely). I dont expect a fool to understand this though. May all your insults be returned to you accursed self and family. |
adekennis:The bill can only be signed by the president or Ag. president. There is no Ag. President because Buhari did not transmit power to the VP before leaving the country so therefore, only Buhari as president is authorised to sign that bill. So what exactly is the uproar about if not just ignorance? The constitution only requires the president to handover to the VP if he will be away from the country for over 21 days, so I ask again, what is this uproar about?... this isnt about supporting A or B, this is just a case of common sense. It gets really boring and ridiculous these days when one opens Nairaland and the only thing one reads is just threads like this filled with ignorant talk and meaningless lamentation. |
lunacol:Of course the cabal controlling the president is doing all they can to sideline the VP (and the yoruba bloc completely), that's general knowledge. But reading the comments on this thread, you will agree with me the entire outcry is just ignorance dancing on steroids (because nothing illegal or unusual has happened here). |
madridsta007:The president only needs to hand over to the VP if he's going to be away for more than 14 days or thereabouts; that's what is written in your constitution. Except of course you're talking of another country's constitution. This same issue has come up and has been clarified too many times; I wonder why many choose to still be unaware of it. |
Chukapage:Just imagine the ignoramus who's gleefully calling someone else a zombie! Yes I am a northerner, and I'm not surprised that's all your brain power could churn out. What exactly is illegal about a president signing a bill simply because he's outside the country? The president did not handover to the VP when leaving the country, so he's still officially the president and the VP is still the VP (not the Ag. President), and there's absolutely nothing illegal about that so long as the president doesn't spend more than 14 days outside the country. |
hammerD:I'm not sure I understand what you're driving at. So apparently this is supposed to be some kind of tribal politics or tribal teasing or bashing? Which functional adult in Nigeria doesn't know that VPs are sidelined? Is it today that VPs started becoming powerless in Nigeria's politics? If I get you right, Osibnajo should go and start fighting his boss because cabal sidelined him or maybe Yorubas should start fighting Buhari or better still, Yorubas should start supporting PDP and that will be your idea of "Yorubas beginning to have sense?" I'm lost! I struggle to separate the childishness from the substance (if any) in your statement. |
Eartquake1:Signs of what exactly?... How exactly is this supposed to be news?... And why exactly is this exciting to you? |
Another pointless event for wailers to masturbate on. Why exactly is this news? |
Whether she bleached or not, I do not know; but for anyone to base the bleaching argument on those pictures posted in the original post, that's just dumb. Lighting conditions in the old picture vs the recent ones is clearly different, so it's just silly comparing skin complexion on the basis of those pictures. |
GidiWoodsMan:it will take at least another 30 - 50 years before fossil fueled vehicles will completely be phased out. |
helinues:More like politico-religious stupidity! |
chieftroller002:There's been several coincidences between the Simpson's cartoon and the Trump presidency. Someone somewhere definitely knew something even before it happened; those Simpson guys are freaks! |
Political Activist! What exactly is the definition of political activist? Meanwhile regarding the case, any sane mind knew the case was dead on arrival. The so called 'killer punches' relied upon by PDP were just too lousy. Imagine hoping to upturn a presidential election on the basis of some cooked up results which were admittedly stolen from a fake inec server? And then the second punchline being that Buhari has no WAEC result so therefore should be disqualified (meanwhile he has certificates higher than WAEC). Even the lead PDP counsel in the person of Ozekhome was even heard few months ago explaining how the cabal would prevent Osinbajo taking over from PMb in 2023; with such a comment, did anyone still need special cerebral intervention to know the supreme court case was a waste of time and resources? |
ikemesit4477:You no dey see wetin Mercy carry for back?... What does efe have? |
Buhari has since overtaken GEJ for that position as the most insulted Nigerian president; pmb took over the record in less than a year of his presidency. Meanwhile GEJ received so much fire because he was the first democratic president to have real opposition. |
Dicktionary: ![]() I swear down! When I opened the thread and saw the write up, I was first disgusted by the fact that of all the things any preacher or teacher should teach about in this endtime, it is this nonsense. And then I saw the name of the OP and lo! it is the same ol 'Pastor Baghdadi' guy who's fond of coughing up weird biblical concepts and insulting everyone who disagrees. That dude is a special case. |
omenka:There's not a chance in God's green earth that those fellows are legit. |
mrvitalis:Oga stop this your continuous tribal chest beating nonsense, it's disgusting. All over Nigeria, when projects are carried out by state and federal governments, host communities always make demands for settlements. Nobody comes out to label it a fight between the FG and their tribe; stop sounding ridiculous by making it a tribal contest with this your "you cannot intimidate Igbo" statement you keep repeating. You keep making it sound like someone is waging war against you, that is just absurd and childish. Meanwhile you keep talking about FG usurping people's land to build this road, but can you substantiate this claim? Cos when I visit google to check, all I see are host communities demanding more employment for their indigenes or asking Julius Berger to donate one project or the other to their communities. This nonsensical sense of entitlement needs to stop, especially when it begins to involve halting project work; we can't be asking for development and then when development comes, we begin to harass contractors for stipends. |
mrvitalis:First of all, I asked you why you had to keep tribalising this. This isn't the first time or first place we would hear of host communities complaining of either lack of compensation or insufficient compensation; so I'm not exactly sure why you keep making it sound like it's an Igbo thing, or a deliberate attack on Igbos. All I see in all your comments in this thread is the unfolding of an IPOB reasoning pattern. |
mrvitalis:Yes! keep chasing and harassing contractors carrying out infrastructural projects in the region. I guess that's the wisest idea you could come up with to defend Igbo land from perceived enemies #Iberiberism |
mrvitalis:And the FG complaining of communities disturbing contractors is what you now cite as tribal hatred? This is actually coming from a fellow that has spent years casting aspersions on IPOB online warriors; now your reasoning is even becoming worse. Besides appointments, can you please highlight the so called treatment being meted out to the SE which other regions are not suffering from? |
mrvitalis:Stop this your Igbo this, Igbo that, Igbo, Igbo boasting and chest beating thing; it's needless, it's sickening and just disgusting. The issue here isn't an inter-tribal contest so quit making it look like some inter-tribal war. |
mrvitalis:N50bn compensation for a N130bn bridge all because a 3 lane road crosses your community? How much of land is actually even taken to build a road through a forest? And for this minor reason, a bridge that has been the subject of protest and demand for several decades is about to be jeopardised and we are yet to see the governors, senators, reps members etc making any comments or encouraging common sense to prevail. If Igbo communities want to adopt this madness that has perpetually retardedd development in the niger delta, then so be it. I wish I were buhari, I will divert the funds to other numerous uncompleted projects in other areas where the people prefer infrastructural development to payouts. Development cannot be forced! |
tiwiex:Building an expressway through a community, and then a bridge over a river. The highway may cost roughly N5bn and the bridge costing N130bn. But you want FG to pay compensation of N10bn to 5 communities (i.e. 5*10bn = N50bn) for a N140bn bridge project?... You want more than a third of the project cost to be paid as settlement to communities because a road is built through their land? |
mrvitalis:Bros Vitalis what nonsense are you talking about? When did this directionless ipob styled irrational retrogressive chest beating start from you?... How does any human encourage or defend this madness from communities demanding settlement from contractors?... You were once an ardent apc man, but your parting with apc isnt a reason why you should throw common sense to the wind and start reasoning from the bum like we've seen some ipob members do here frequently. This matter has nothing to do with apc or pdp or buhari or any politician; this is a matter of infrastructural development in a region and a sensible people do whatever it takes to drag development to their region, even when it means making sacrifices. Go to Warri and see how that once thrivung city has now become a glorified shithole all because of this senseless sense of entitlement by youths and community chiefs making endless demands from companies, individuals and governments before carrying out projects. Wake up tour senses bro. |
BuhariAdvocate:What exactly do you mean "contractors should settle communities"? How exactly in 2019 do we still have anyone encouraging this bastardic behaviour?.... This is exactly the reason a once thriving city like Warri is now a shithole withh all companies deserting it by the day; you want to build even a hut and 1000 lazy youths foolishly invade your site demanding millions in "DEVE" claiming the govt did not give them stipends for doing nothing and here we have enlightened people still glorifying this retrogressive madness? Are they the only communities in the country where their youths dont have jobs? Why dont they go and look for jobs? Must government do everything for you? Govt wants to build a hospital in a community lacking a hospital and the youths and chiefs block the contractor asking for settlement first before the project can proceed. How can any normal person support this kind of retardedd behaviour? I wish I was the president. I would make it very clear that if any community disturbs contractors, that is the permanent end of that project; the project will be moved to other communities where the people have a sound mind and want development not 'settlements'. The communities loosing projects can wail till thy kingdom come; development will never be forced on FOOLS. |
