ijewejones:A governor is an independent emperor who reports to no one. A minister is a mere appointee and subject of a boss. What exactly do you want Ngige to do as a mere employee? Does he have to pick a megaphone and placards and start protesting against his employer before you will agree he's doing some work? |
Bundaweber:How exactly did the governments in those countries build the vital infrastructure with which they lifted their people out of poverty? Did those governments do it without revenue? Did they achieve all that with the people paying no tax? |
Opyz:There is nothing wrong with taxation; Nigeria's tax to GDP ratio is extremely low, one of the lowest in the world. We keep comparing ourselves with developed nations but aren't ready to pay a microscopic fraction of what people in those developed nations pay in form of taxes. 4 naira or whatever isn't really going to kill you or make life "extremely unbearable" as you claim, I dont see how that makes anyone a devil. The only thing I am worried about, and which you should be worried about, and which we should talking about is whether the money collected can ever be used efficiently.. |
IVM is okay please... no need for any change. |
FarahAideed: FarahAideed:Are you are saying the power stations you mentioned above were started and completed by GEJ? FYI, every single power station you listed above was started under OBJ! Some were fortunate to have been completed and commissioned by GEJ, but several on that list are still incomplete and haven't added a single MWh to the grid. Was my English grammar difficult to understand? You said Buhari is the only president who hasn't started and finished a power project and I simply asked you to mention examples of such projects started and completed by GEJ; I didnt ask you to list projects started by OBJ and completed by GEJ. Meanwhile Aba power station is a private investment by Geometric which was started during the OBJ days and was completed in the GEJ days; keyword there is 'PRIVATE'. Till date though, it is yet to be commissioned (for whatever reason). How exactly is this then a project started and completed by GEJ? Or is it AFAM VI? that power project was started in the days of OBJ and it is owned and operated by Shell. I remember personally visiting the site in 2007 when it was already at an advanced stage. How then did this project which has been in operation since 2008 make your contrived copy and paste list of projects started and completed by GEJ?... You obviously get too excited from the numerous 'likes' you get from our bunch of ignorant lazy Nigerian youths who don't know how to use Google to verify info. |
FarahAideed:What kind of falsehood is this?... Is this the result of ignorance or intentional sycophancy? Kindly name the power plants INITIATED by GEJ, and then we shall talk of the level of progress otlf the plant till date. |
FarahAideed:Name one nigeriqn leader that has started and completed a power plant. |
donbachi:The above statement doesnt say the person closing the door will be the one opening the new one. It only says another will surely be opened. One thing about the statement though is that the new opening is usually better and will be for the good of Nigeria. |
nihilistjnr:My brother u sabi observe! ![]() |

The hatred most of these northern elite have for Igbos is bizarre. |
mrvitalis: judgementyard:Unfortunately, that's how civilisation works, you cant be too emotional about it. Or what do you guys suggest? That their throats be slit? Or that they be put in a gas chamber and gassed to death?.... The mistake started from having them captured in the first place instead of killing them in battle. From the beginning of time, when opponents surrender in a war, some silly war rules says you have to treat them well as prisoners. |
ManirBK:A little correction there. |
Kaiii... some people just know how to flex life. At almost 80, the nigga is taking a fresh wife while some people are busy worrying about his health. |
Evaromantik1: drips8:Why do people always feel the need to make this statement whenever they see throwback pictures? What do those pictures have to do with money?... He looked very well fed and clean in that picture but was probably 10-15 years younger then. Do you guys expect a person not to change with age? |
komekn:Are you suggesting that the Cross Rivers state government should spend Cross Rivers state funds in building seaports in PH and Warri? |
The people unhappy with the vehicle should go knock their useless heads against a wall... Maybe if they all die, Nigeria may be left with reasonable humans who understand the importance of patronising Nigerian brands. |
I struggle to see how the appointment of GEJ has anything to do with ridiculing anyone. |
isthatso:The real problem with Nigeria is if we achieve up to that 10%, it will only reflect in more private jets at our airports, more yachts and longer convoys. |
Omashola and his team should be allowed to inspect the Bet9ja server to confirm this. |
Chaii... see people's fathers. ![]() |
9jabull:People tend to just believe whatever suits their bias, regardless of how irrational the info appears to be. Are there even up to 50 federal roads in the entire south east?.... Is it any poo you read that you just swallow? |
Another dumb propaganda from the stables of IPOB to hurt the emotions and incite gullible Igbos. I'm sure this must be all over whatsapp groups and facebook broadcasts by now. Are there even up to 56 federal roads in the entire south east? |
Are there even up to 56 major federal roads in the south east? How can 56 toll gates be only in the south east? Where did this info even come from? |
The way some folks desperately turn everything to a stupid inter-tribal dick measuring contest is truly disturbing. Is there still any hope for Nigeria's future with the youths reasoning like this? Did Sowore at any time ever claim he was fighting for any particular tribe? Even while the majority of the Yoruba elite, moneybags and masses are still supporting the current political dispensation, how and when exactly did Sowore's revolution metamorphose into a 'Yoruba campaign'? |
Tonytonic:Sorry sir for my earlier false claim. The election of Buhari in 2015 actually excited Igbos more than any other ethnic group in Nigeria. Thanks! |
Tonytonic:Under OBJ and GEJ, Sowore has always been a thorn in the flesh of every government. The only way he's managed to evade arrest is because he has stayed away in exile since 1999. Nigeria has a very porous border, even an elephant cant be smuggled in and out of the country through cotonou. |
engrchykae:What exactly is your point sir?... You're losing me here You claimed bokoharam started in 2003 but OBJ ignored them (a baseless claim which i couldnt even fathom its essence). I disproved that. You made another false claim that IMN was never disturbed or attacked by previous administrations, I proved that again to be anothed false claim. You claimed only the current admin has gone after the media lawlessly, I puntured that baseless claim again. And now here you are, saying Buhari and Elrfuai met with IMN leader, please kindly help me out here, what exactly is the point you're trying to make?... Are you just struggling to create an argument? |
engrchykae:Like I said, bokoharam was never a threat to public order, not until 2009 when they started taking arms and attacking police stations. So please tell me, why should a peaceful, insignificant, impactless group which posed no security threat to the public be a source of concern to any president at the time? Regarding IMN, they have been labelled a security threat well before 2015 and YES, even under GEJ, they were clamped down, arrested and murdered extrajudicially by security forces in 2013/2014. In 2014, Elzakzazi's sons were murdered by soldiers who attacked their home to clamp down on the group. So please go enlighten yourself before you come online to make baseless claims. About GEJ being the most abused president, by all factual standards, Buhari the 'dullard' has since overtaken that record. Tell me one lie against GEJ that also hasnt been peddled against the current govt? And yes, Buhari's regime may clearly be intolerant to criticism, but even the so called gentle GEJ's regime also lawlessly clamped down on dissident media houses on several occasions, there are numerous cases on that within a google search away, go figure! That people are more informed (thanks to social media and cheaper internet) and louder in their criticism of govt today, that doesnt mean the nonsense we see today started today. Just like I said before, a lot of you were only 'born' and started paying attention to Nigerian news only post-2015; so its no surprise you dont know any of the above. |
yaki84:Nnamdi was not a problem to govt until 2015 so he didnt need to hide; he was a totally unknown figure until 2015 when Buhari won the election and angered Igbos. However, Nnamdi's more popular predecessors pre-2015 like Uwazuruike of MASSOB and Onwuka of Biafra Zionist movement, go and ask what happened to them under OBJ and GEJ. |
engrchykae:Bokoharam started becoming 'bokoharam' in 2009. They may have existed as a little harmless sect or prayer group prior to 2009, but it was in July 2009 that they perpetrated their first act of public disorder. So I'm not sure I understand where you got your OBJ link from; how do people just manufacture baseless stories and logic from thin air? ![]() Meanwhile regarding GEJ, so many of you making these comments here were either just unaware of political happenings prior to 2015, or you just chose to develop amnesia. I dont need to start digging through Google to bring up cases of arrests and clampdown of media houses. https://www.pri.org/stories/2013-04-09/nigerian-journalists-detained-after-story-president-goodluck-jonathan |
