I think this isnt a bad bill. Time for other southern states to just copy and paste. |
Same old story all the time.. |
mrvitalis:Oga Vita, you know the strategy sometimes na just to follow the mumu dem dey curse buhari. Expending energy trying to explain any sense into some people (especially post election trauma victims and especially in these days of hunger) is a futile task. Just go with the flow, because na only people wey get sense you fit preach sense to. |
MPVGoddess:While you compare notes, you should not fail to note that every society has its peculiarities; different strokes for different folks. Firstly, the US you may want to compare us with has some of the best roads in the world in terms of wideness and smoothness. Nigeria can't boast of that. I'm sure if they had highways half as bad as ours, and if they had drivers half as retardedd as ours, the US would have done something about speed limiters a long time ago. Secondly, the US police or traffic officers might have a robust system through which they can enforce speed limit regulations; I doubt that Nigeria's FRSC even has a comprehensive computerised database to track details of a car owner by just inputting a registration number. Thirdly, due to a combination of factors, Nigeria currently has about the worst record of road traffic fatalities worldwide. I'm sure if the US had a tenth of our fatality record, they would have considered speed limiters, at least for public transport vehicles. Finally, I understand your 'tornado' example isn't to be taken literally, however, when one considers the totally absurd and totally unacceptable fatality statistics on Nigerian highways, you will agree with me that by allowing cars to be capable of outrunning 'tornadoes,' the number of lives we save is so so so insignificant when compared with the multitude of souls that perish daily on Nigerian roads courtesy of overspeeding. |
FFK giving us history classes again, quite an educating piece; however, one just wonders the exact motive behind this sudden passion by FFK for delivering Hausa history lectures. https://www.reportsafrique.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/gej1.jpg |
Change is painful!.. The hardship will persist for a long while, but it will eventually fizzle out and we will eventually get there. Wailing is an inalienable right of a suffering person, a weeping person is allowed to throw abusive words. But then, weeping and wailing and abusing never really solved any problem. |
Izonpikin:It's really unbelievable how mentally lazy leaders can be because of the feeding bottle system; this thing continues to look more like a spiritual problem. |
Over $50billion running carelessly on the streets... ![]() |
This guy get mind... Kudos to him! |
Izonpikin:This exactly is the problem, I remember sometime early this year, Fayemi explained that state governments aren't barred by any law from extracting solid mineral resources in their domain. Why state governments have refused to key into this is still a mystery. http://punchng.com/states-not-barred-from-solid-mineral-exploration-fayemi/ On another note, Fayemi has been literally begging 'big men,' state govts and other investors to invest in mineral mining. So far, the usual saviour and alternative govt (Dangote) is presently setting up a coal mine in Kogi state which would be functional in a couple of weeks. Why the govts of Kogi state, Enugu or Benue state are not setting up coal mines themselves is still a mystery to me. Very soon we would hear things like marginalisation by Hausas again. http://www.informationng.com/2016/08/coal-mines-in-kogi-to-become-functional-within-30days-dangote.html http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/08/dangote-commence-coal-mining-quarter-4/ Why the govts of northern states like Kaduna etc are not setting up proper gold mines for instance is also a mystery; when the hunger keeps biting, they would say it is avengers. |
cekhoe:The statements you label as excuses were/are only responses, that's all I was trying to point out. Regarding the present recession, there's a reason I dont sound too bothered or too antagonistic of the government; that's because I'm a realist, I knew from the onset that this hardship was inevitable seeing that Nigeria as a nation foolishly relies on only a single commodity. Several economic prophets since time immemorial had preached of the imminence of this day but of course, successive governments ignored the call for diversification while they feasted on oil money. Today oil money is gone, and the fact remains that forex cannot be plucked out of the skies. Diversification being the only solution isnt something that can happen overnight; DIVERSIFICATION = YEARS + CASH. Unfortunately we don't have both of these things, there's no cash and no time cos people are starving. Because I understand these things, I also understand it is meaningless to run out online everyday accusing the 1 year old govt. of being responsible. |
hiredkiller:Nigerians are still Nigerians, you do not expect people to come from the moon to form a new party. If a new better party comes up today, it would still be made up of Nigerians from either the PDP or APC fold. So bro, this is common sense 101. |
PDP should really think about changing its name; I wonder how those twerps who destroyed Nigeria even sleep at night, I wonder how they can be so shameless to even still air their flimsy opinions. |
cekhoe:The government doesnt start the blame games so it is out of place to accuse the government of blame game. When the very people who sunk Nigeria into this miry clay, into this economic quagmire, together with their die-hard supporters, have the effrontery and are shameless enough to be the loudest voices accusing the present govt of causing the problem, then you can't blame the present govt for clapping back. For 68% of the responders to be of the opinion that PDP caused the present problem, it's not because these people actually like the apc or the present situation; rather it's just a way of asking pdp and their supporters to respect themselves and shutup. |
NgeneUkwenu:Gbam! A piece of info for all the ignoramuses shouting buhari's name as if he's a magician that should conjure dollars from the spirit world, the only way out of this mess is to diversify the economy and: DIVERSIFICATION = YEARS + CASH!!! |
Faraidi:English?.. speaking English? Is that a virtue?... We talking of a compulsive xenophobic patient and you are talking of English?... The point is simple, even if I dont like the hausas personally, did that simple statement by mark Zuckerberg really warrant those things vomited by the FFK?.... It's his opinion yeah, but when a notable person's opinion is so repugnant and capable of causing unnecessary inter-ethnic disaffection, then such a person's personal opinion cannot be entirely personal. |
Africa, it's always very easy to destroy than to build. Why do we keep hearing this same story of demolition without prior notice?.... Who is really saying the truth here?... I dont trust some of these useless government officials though. |
todayboy:I thought the report says the aircrafts are both under maintenance? |
arushiuga:Obu nna na nne muru gi bu akwunna. Enwe! |
codemaniacs: arushiuga:No, FFK's words are words of a retarded sociopath. Reno was disturbed at the level he had degenerated to and therefore tried to lend some words of reason; little did Reno know that he was trying to preach sense to a wasted soul. Congratulations to the dolts that applaud the madness of FFK; like minds certainly find pleasure in the counsel of their ilk. They shouldnt worry, very soon Mark Zuckerberg will connive with the fulanis and sponsor the jihad to come take over southern Nigeria. #Iberiberism |
U go fear story na.. |
codemaniacs:The point being made here is that an American (Mark Zuckerberg) innocently said hausa language was unique, and voila! just out of the blue, FFK starts foaming in the mouth vomiting unprovoked, needless ethnic/religious hate speeches about how Hausa is this and that and how the Americans are conniving with the Hausas to undermine the southern Nigeria... Like for real, do you mean to tell me you see nothing wrong in such anti-social behaviour?... Were all those statements by FFk warranted by the innocent statement of Mark? |
EMMAUGOH: EMMAUGOH:Obinze-Naze road is a federal road, although nothing stops the state government from getting the go-ahead/approval from the FG (APC-APC) and fixing this road once and for all. As far as I can remember, this road has remained a nightmare every rainy season for the past 15 years. It's a shame that many years after, the road is still unchanged. |
Oluwabusobomi:I am only shocked at how rotten some human minds can be. You are free to join him in harbouring deep seated ethnic hatred all over your soul, next time Mark Zuckerberg or any other non-Nigerian says something patronising about Hausas, you are free to rush out in public cutting yourself with a sharp objects because you hate Hausas so much. I'm keen to know how that eventually helps your overall well-being on the long run. |
Goyim:Mark Zuckerberg makes an innocent statement saying Hausa language is unique, FFK rushes in and begins a childish (or probably demented) hate campaign against the Hausas, and you applaud this madness as 'political correctness'?.... Is this what the ethnic hatred has degenerated to that even an innocent statement from Mark can incited people to spew hatred?... If care is not taken, some people would even attack Mark himself..... How on earth do some humans live with this level of irrational hate occupying their souls?.... What on earth is wrong with what Mark said that is getting people like you and FFK angry?... This matter don turn to spiritual problem oo.. Lawd have merci! ![]() |
Blood of Amadioha! ![]() |
Qmerit:A madman actually thinks it is everyone else that is mad; for that person you quoted to actually think that Reno is the tribalist and FFK isn't, it speaks volumes of what the dude you quoted is made of. |
Whynotthetruth:Soludo cautioned against the continued complaints over oil price and lack of savings by the previous administration; he simply said things could be done better to remedy the already bad situation and that the government should focus on solutions and not complaints. But that does not negate the fact that the present hardship is INEVITABLE given Nigeria's over-dependence on oil for its forex and the drop in oil price. Only solution out of the current mess is diversification, and diversification takes years + money. I am yet to see the economist that would explain the abracadabra that can be done to invoke dollars from the spirit world overnight. Nigeria of 1999-2003 is not the same as Nigeria of 2016, that Nigeria survived with $9/bbl 16 years ago does not mean that it would be enough for our daily needs today; I'm sure you should also be educated enough to know that. That N500 was sufficient for my entire needs when I was in SS1, that doesn't mean N500 would be enough for my needs now that I'm a married man with kids. Firstly, under OBj, how much was the minimum wage compared to now?... how much was government's monthly recurrent expenditure?... What was the value of the dollar to Naira then?... How many people had cars and how many owned I-pass-my-neighbor generators and what was Nigeria's fuel daily demand then?... How much of fuel did we have to import then compared to the almost 100% we import today?.... In general under OBj, what was Nigeria's forex demand compared to today?... Now that every individual with an ATM card can buy things online with the click of a button, are you aware that overall forex demand is presently more than 10-20 times what it was back then?... Yet you think that things are the same enough for you to make a direct comparison? Get the simple message, the only solution to the current mess is diversification, and diversification takes years + money. |
Jesus Christ!! Reading through the entire conversation, I'm sure Reno would be extremely shocked and may even lose sleep tonight over the sort of psychopathic being FFK has degenerated to. How does a person like FFK even sleep at night? Sometimes one begins to just wonder how a person like FFK with all his fine education and exposure degenerated to the sort of psychopathic, hate-filled being he is today; he's obviously sipping from the same polluted chalice as Nnamdi Kanu and his worshippers. Apparently FFK wants to stoke ethnic disaffection in Nigeria based on a simple opinion of a young American Mark Zuckerberg; probably when he asks Nigerians to "think and think," he's soliciting Nigerians to increase ethnic suspicion and hatred cos even Mr Zuckerberg is now conniving with the Hausas to marginalise and undermine southern Nigeria? I just can't help but wonder how a person with the putrid soul of FFK rose to the levels he attained in life. Lawd hav merci! ![]() |
MPVGoddess:Very funny video 'to watch' but not good to experience. Regarding speed limiters for Nigerian vehicles, considering how often we get these kind of tsunamis in Nigeria, for every 10 lives that may be saved because we allow them to be capable of speeding away from an approaching ocean surge, 5000 lives would have been lost on our roads due to the indiscretions of drunk overspeeding drivers. Nigeria currently has about the worst road traffic fatality rate in the world, anything to reduce this is a welcome development. It may be difficult to implement this for private vehicles, but I'm in support of a bill to compel all transport companies to have speed limiters on their vehicles. It's a common occurence to have hiace buses belonging to transport companies fly at speeds of up to 160km/hr on our rough pothole riddled narrow roads and most of these drivers/companies dont even check the condition of their tyres; this isn't just absurd, but it's plain stupidity.
