It is obvious you have chocked on defending your silly analogy. Blame this useless admin for making a very delicate situation incredibly worse.
I am not defending anything, I am simply stating a fact but your deep seated prejudice for the present government has blocked your reasoning. Else can you kindly point out what I have said up there which is false?

There was no savings yet this man was able to bail his extended ones to cater for their subordinates. Where did this money come from, his slashed salary ?

This same man simply refused to unite his family under one umbrella to breed trust and cooperation necessary to weather the storm, he ended up showing clear favoritism to selected few who unfortunately didn't have the key to contribute financially. Thus dwindling his resources further.

This same man ensured his archaic mentality to micromanage his family saw to the demise of the little businesses his children were engaging which was quite helpful at the time.

This man is a disaster that was fostered on all of us by the ignorant ones like you.
If by bailing out extended ones, you refer to the FG bailout of states, then your ignorance is in another level. You probably are one of those ones who make ignorant statements about how Nigeria isn't broke because we had $29bn left in the foreign reserves; probably it has to drop to zero and we must degenerate to the Venezuelan crisis before your type agrees that we have no savings?..... Meanwhile by saying 'subordinates' one would think the money is being gifted to his friends for free, however, your type obviously doesnt care that the state workers being owed salaries are also Nigerians whose welfare is also the business of the president.

Bros,

The gist is that it has worsened with Buhari,

Whatever was the situation at GEJ time has worsened now.

Don't you get it?

Its not difficult to understand na
A man struggling to feed his family of 170 million with his meagre salary of 100k suddenly gets his salary slashed to 40k and here we are, some people expect things to be better for the family because the man is GOD right?

Is the above logic too difficult to understand?

that's valid... you making a lot of sense. but the truth is this government brought this upon themselves.... they spent too much time on snooze mode. too much time on blame game, the Indices have been looking bad for quite a while, but what did government do to avert what we have nw, square pegs were slotted into round home, policy merry- go-round. Your forex policy crippled the existing businesses, you sucked up your money in various banks, (TSA) you didn't spend the money so that it can go round, there by causing an earthquake in the financial market. see I feel, the government were the ones hoping for a miracle to happen all along
Yeah the government has made some bad choices which has made the crisis worse, but saying the crisis in itself is a fault of the present government is wrong.

A man who earns 100k monthly but struggles to feed his family suddenly gets a pay cut to 40k and he has no savings, c'mon! We don't need a soothsayer to interpret the obvious signs that there is a major crisis already at hand. Yes the man may have made some wrong choices following the slash in salary which may have added salt to an open injury, but the real culprit here is the over 60% loss in income; it would certainly take some time for the man to bounce back to his feet and his family would definitely go through severe pain in the interim.

it was a major plague in 1983/84, he was also unlucky in 1983/84 when he was also the head of state. What a coincident. Do u understand the meaning of policy. The president due to his cluelessness has made a lot of unfavorable economic policies that brought us here, not just crude price.
I asked a question, a struggling nation suddenly loses over 60% of its income and you think the current recession is primarily a result of Buhari's bad policy? You must hate the man so much to reason in this way.

Now we talking of a recession, the gdp growth rate of the country was steadily swimming between 6-7% until mid-2014 when the oil crash began; one can clearly see the correlation between the growth rate and oil prices from the image below. The rate began to crash steadily from mid-2014 to Q1 2016 when it eventually crossed into the negative realm. I would suppose this crash which began since mid-2014 also had nothing to do with the oil price but has everything to do with cluelessness and bad policy of Buhari?

See zombies and shameless liars ...

Incase IMF, BBC etc are now PDP sponsored or Fayose media outlets...Can you listen to Sanusi or Soludo?

Soludo has this to say;
...the recession was caused by “delayed, incoherent (dysfunctional) and incomplete adjustment
exerting great toll on the economy”.........“Outcomes so far (especially in 2016) self-inflicted by acts of omission and commission. Nigeria would have avoided a recession: ONE YEAR ENOUGH for blaming fall in oil prices; after that blame our failures.”
I suppose you are literate enough to know the meaning of the word 'lie'?... Kindly point out the lie in my statement or the lie in the charts I posted?

By the way, it is your bloody cup of tea if you choose to remain ignorant, there are already many out there like you. The fact however remains that the standard of life in a struggling nation can never remain the same when it suddenly loses over 60% of its income. It is rather dumb for anybody to try and make a direct comparison between the standard of life when oil sold above $100 and now when it sells for less than $45. One doesn't need formal education to know this.

A good quality of life should not be dependent on a person's social class. This government has failed so far and no amount of fancy charts or graphs can say otherwise.
My point is simple, there is currently a major problem in the country but I view the problem beyond the typical simple-minded interpretation of "Buhari has brought hardship upon Nigerians" which even graduates chorus around; Buhari did not bring the problem, he is only unlucky to have stepped in when a major plague was visiting.

Now we all know it is his responsibility to take Nigerians out of the current mess and I agree certain pointers from his performance so far doesn't inspire hope, however, because I view and interpret things differently from the social/educational class you mentioned, I 'know' it is not possible to solve the current problems quickly, except a major miracle happens and oil price doubles today.

Story story story! The poor man hustling in this country couldn't give a hoot about any chart. Nigerians can no longer be deceived by any propaganda.
Of course the poor okada-man or bus driver or market woman on the streets would never understand the reasons behind their current sufferings. As far as the people in this societal/educational class are concerned, they started feeling pain as soon as Buhari came to power and things have only gotten worse so therefore it has to be Buhari. But then, I doubt that most of the people also shouting Buhari's name on this forum fall within that social/educational class.

Some are ignorantly saying she needs a job. If I may ask, has she ever at one time or the other, said she is doing it just to get illicit rewards? Who among you here has ever volunteered much like her, doing such a humanitarian service like she does? Can you sacrifice a minute to stand under the sun, for that neighbour who is aggrieved? Do you know she is the strength of these mothers? If we should all do the same looking forward to be rewarded with juicy political positions, I bet you, the direction where the progress of the true changes lies in this country aswe wish, still left much to be desired.

She speaks for men, women, children and I believe she will be rewarded abundantly from her goodwill. shame on those who paint her wrongly, staring from the sidelines to judge her actions,,.. Do you even know the dialogue between her and the FG? Have you ever take your time to ask? Please so many questions you need to ask yourself before you judge others.
On the contrary, those calling her unprintable names are just reetarded dolts who are still pained over election results of over a year ago and who are still yet to recover from the trauma. They are not necessarily children, I know some adults in their league.

PoliticsRe: Distribution Of Capital Project In 2016 Budget, Omokri Reacts: A Rejoinder by obailala(m):
The distribution of the capital projects is obviously not justifiable, although it is not as bad as is being painted by sensational journalists and divisive politicians. Whoever compiled this list and included the FCT budget as part of the NORTH-central is obviously being intentionally dubious and divisive especially as the breakdown did not think it necessary to include NDDC funds and Niger-Delta ministry funds as part of the Niger-Delta funds.

FCT getting 41% of these capital expenditure makes one to wonder what they plan to build with all these. The argument about the landmass which always results in the south-east zone always being shortchanged is also not justified especially when population is considered. These are the kind of imbalances one would have expected Igbo leaders in the NASS to stand up against and fight, but it's obvious they have other priorities such as rushing to the tribunal with Saraki and Ekweremmadu.

All in all, this is just budget No. 1 out of 4.

This is the storm before the calm. Nigeria is NOT sinking, but rising like the Phoenix out of the flame of misgovernance that ensured we pay the price for being a mono economy during an economic crisis.

The silly militant supporters and their principals deserve every taunt thrown at them because they wickedly taunted innocent Nigerians with every BOOM that emanated from the creeks. These were the same crooks that even dared the Army to come meet them in the creeks.

The pipelines will not suffer under the watch of the crocodile, entertain no doubts. PMB was patient enough but was forced to bare his fangs, which was clearly very effective. While we seek the development of the Niger Delta despite the failures of their son, we will never again let criminals from the creeks even imagine for one second that they can blackmail this or any other government with violence.
Now is definitely not the time for any kind of taunting; the creek rats still hold the nation by the balls and even if they are decimated by the superior firepower of the military, oil and gas pipelines will still continue to be the major casualty for an extended period, the recession will bite harder and people will keep dying of hunger. This isn't the time to start measuring dicks, this isn't the time for this needless 'victor or vanquished' gyrations, we just need to put aside any differences and the needless taunts (which can only provoke matters to be worse) because it doesn't help anybody.

MalcoImX:
What has changed for the Niger Delta Avengers to have called their most hated figure in this century, "Dear President?"
How could these people capitulate so easily like that when they and their supporters say they're no match for the army, having a better mastery of the creeks that surpassed those of the crocodiles?
What happened to their missiles that they said would be launched on us, our infrastructures and our seat of government? Are they also forsaking the awaited 1st October independence declaration? Did Buhari release Kanu, Dasuki and/or agree to bring back their corruption?
Kai, what has changed for the Avengers? Or, is it the content of this letter shared to us on a WhatsApp group that has made the sponsors scampered for safety?
BOOM! The truth is that PMB has concrete evidences linking Jonathan to the Avengers and he had given the evidences to Gen Abdulsalami Abubakar, the Chairman of the Peace Group that encouraged Jonathan to concede defeat. Hence the cease fire announced by the Avengers!!! Now there will be peace and there will be dialogue. But all the already identified loot must be returned so said PMB.
Credit: Sir Ayo Ojeniyi
//
My people, what has really changed for the 'almighty' Avengers to have become ice cream sellers overnight?
Hmm, over to you! This na end time surrender.
Enough of all these unnecessary taunting; it is a very welcome development that the bombers have decided to calm down and this move should be encouraged by all without these needless taunting. Nigeria is sinking very quickly and anything to stop the downward trend is welcome. Even the most powerful military in the world cannot protect inanimate pipelines lying in the swamps if criminals from local host communities decide to keep blowing them up. Yes, the military can kill all the militants (and lots of innocent too), but when two elephants fight, the grass pipelines suffer and the prevailing economic downturn and hunger in the nation persists. We should learn to show some maturity in our comments.

About the pension, the previous administration of PDP paid pensioners, stop fabricating stories about 12 years of PDP. My parents are pensioners and will always tell you that Ohakim never owed them, Rochas is the only governor that has succeeded in pocketing LGA funds to himself by not conducting LGA election throughout his tenure. Our civil service system is in a messy state since Rochas came in. He is evil and will never go free..the blood of those innocent pensioners who died as a result of poverty will never spare him.
