WOCKHARDI:This very blame game was started by a shameless PDP. Lai was only replying Ekweremmadu for his shameless statement. |
Lawd av merci! What on earth do we do with these scoundrels we have in the NASS?... Even while national income has dropped by over 50% and serious cost cuttings are being implemented all over, NASS budget was only reduced from 120bn to 115bn. Now the rogues are buying free cars for themselves even while the nation bleeds. ![]() |
Nigerian armed forces from the police to civil defense to military etc are naturally beasts, provoke them at your own peril. From Odi to Odioma to Zaki-Biam to Borno, wherever the Nigerian military goes to enforce peace, they usually enforce a genocidal tsunami instead. Under the days of Obasanjo, the army enforced an ethnic cleansing in Odi and Odioma; we put the blame on OBJ. Under the days of Jonathan, in the early stages of the war against BH, the army did the same in Borno villages; northerners put the blame on GEJ. Today Buhari is president, the same army is doing the very same thing they know how to do best (ethnic cleansing), instead of addressing the real issue (brutal army), some people like FFK who should know better have rushed to politicise it again by placing the blame on PMB; now this is the same FFK who accused PMB of being sympathetic to BH because he (PMB) dared to complain about this very thing (military brutality) which FFK is complaining of today. Some of these our politicians need sense, a lot of it. Similarly, the followers (specifically the ones applauding this airhead FFK) need to receive a lot of sense also. |
MizMyColi:The number you're calling is currently busy enjoying a nice sunday evening, please try again later. However before you go, kindly ruminate one this question, "Is there any current bad economic indices which wasnt equally bad as at May 29th when the hero of lootoctacy handed over the rickety vehicle of state to PMB?" As at May 29th, the GDP growth rate was worse than it is currently, the fuel scarcity was worse than it is currently, the foreign reserve was worse than it is presently, the exchange rate was same as it is currently and all these indices took a nosedive in less than 6 months of the oil price crash under the lootocracy overseen by the hero. Please my dear MizmyColi, I am not willing to spoil the taste of this barbecued tilapia before me by responding to someone feigning ignorance of who the real culprits of our predicaments are. Please try and enjoy your evening. |

See these silly PDP morons trying to tell PMB what to do... They obviously want PMB to spend his entire administration probing ghosts. Common sense tells me it is easiest to catch a thief just when the robbery is still fresh, unlike a robbery which happened ages ago. |

The funny thing about most of the Jonathan supporters who are opposed to this because they feel GEJ was cheated, most of these current GEJ supporters were actively involved in the protests in 2012. The only difference being that the Jonathanian fanaticism had not began as at 2012 January. |
ahaz:Stop letting ur sentiments confuse your sense of judgement and history. I suppose all the NLC strikes and protests that greeted Nigeria for days whenever OBJ topped pump prices by N10, in your wisdom all those protests were also incited by APC?.... A government announces it would remove subsidy in April, but turns around to remove it suddenly in January 1st and forcing pump prices to jump from N65 to over N140, and some humans actually think it was APC (which wasnt even born by 2012) that pushed multitudes of people to the streets? A government opens its mouth and tells Nigerians that over 70% of the subsidy payments is stolen by a powerful cabal (which is made up of less than 50 people), and that since it cant punish the cabal, it was going to remove subsidy and punish 160million people instead. Nigerians take to the streets and here we are, some smart people in 2015 claim it was APC which was born in 2013 that forced Nigerians into the streets in protest in 2012? We really need a psychological revival in Nigeria. |
Ugonnax:Bro, so you mean even with the story conveyed in this thread that it wasnt Ifeanyi Ubah's Capital O&G, you still insist on making this sort of ridiculous comment? For crying out loud, what kind of psychological affliction are some of my Igbo brothers suffering from? ![]() Who will heal my people? ![]() |
dunkem21:Point out the fake stories and let us see if they will not apologise. |

This is serious... How much compensation did the NSA give to the millions of people who lost loved ones and properties in the NE? |
PRYCE:I'm sorry but I don't see how this rule is gagging any particular ethnic group. Firstly, there are millions of Igbos including myself who don't give a hoot about Biafra (because we don't see disintegration as a solution to our problems). Secondly, there is nothing wrong with speaking out when one feels maligned but when it becomes an outright campaign to balkanise the nation, even if there are good reasons, I don't think this is the right forum. Nairaland is a pro-Nigerian forum, don't you think it is an aberration to come into a pro-Nigerian forum to spread the message of division?... Giving audience to pro-Biafran topics is like allowing an Islamic scholar walk into a church to preach to the congregation to convert to Islam; no matter how peace loving or liberal the church is, no church would allow that. |
modath:Imo actually has the highest number of graduates. |
crazysaint:Only people with low IQ fit into that category you talk about; I mean the category of people laughing. |
tomakint: DopeBoiRapy:Let's stop being clever by half because of some unnecessary ethnic/regional bullshiit. A lot of oil is located beneath the Chad basin and Chad as a nation is an oil producer from the oil wells falling within their own section of the Chad basin. It takes common sense to know that if there is oil on one side of the Chad, there is likely to also be reserves on the other side too. It also takes quite a huge amount of money to locate oil reserves, NNPC also plunges billions into oil exploration yearly in the Niger delta and other areas till date and these billions spent in exploration is the reason why oil has now been found in the centre of Lagos and in Anambra and even Kogi state. Until Nigeria becomes an agricultural giant again, oil still remains our only meal ticket. That is not to say the government shouldnt spend on agricultural development. But suggesting that zero should be spent on further oil exploration is in my opinion, not a smart idea and such resentment to this idea could only be because you hear it is in the north and we have a northern president you hate. Quit all these rubbish rants. |
Well I dont think NOI has done anything wrong in this one... she sourced for funds, got an approval from the president and she released the funds to the NSA. However in order to forestall any future flimsy accusations, it would be nice if NOI just prepared a comprehensive register of all approvals she gave for fund disbursements. It's obvious that everything about the way government was run was shrouded in undue secrecy, you cant blame people for wagging their tongues and throwing accusations around when they keep seeing details of fund movement without records of what the funds were used for. |
Oh yes, the title of this report was diabolically crafted to suit a particular narrative. This title was designed for one purpose and one purpose alone, to deceive some ignorant dissidents into coming to public to spew gibberish. Can someone kindly tell me what is wrong if oil is discovered in the north?... how is that supposed to be an evil agenda?... wouldn't that mean more revenue for Nigeria?... Or is the money budgeted for this meant to be paid into individual pockets of northerners? It would be a very welcome development if oil is found in the north, that would translate to more revenue to Nigeria and possibly fast-track the realisation of true federalism. |
I hope we can now put this fuel scarcity behind us, thank God this was done before Christmas. And I also hope this payment of subsidies will now be reconsidered since removing it now wouldn't really affect the cost of petroleum products. |
wachakuta:Lol.. Abii oo No matter how good a policy sounds, the wailers always have a way of spotting the loopholes. Their input is needed on this development ![]() |
It is surprising that some people can actually change their stance even after very stiff political and ideological oppositions. I hope and pray the Nigerian ship of state will sail into smooth and open seas soon enough to further incapacitate some adversaries who diabolically wish for things to get worse because it suits their political narrative. |
@Op My apologies but this is a very dull way to reason. So do you expect the new government to abandon ongoing projects in a bid to start their own projects?... Have you not heard that government is a continuum?.... Can you kindly name a single road project done by the last administration which wasnt started or touched by his predecessors? Now for all the projects scattered all over the place which was started by the previous government, what sense does it make to award thousands of projects but yet not a single one is finished?... After paying mobilisation fees, the rest of the funds are withheld/embezzled but they still come forward to the election grounds to claim they did x and y projects when in reality, all the projects are at infancy. Now the Op in his peculiar wisdom wants the new government to tow the same line by abandoning previous projects and starting new ones. |
Ozedy:He inherited a foreign reserve + ECA of $62billion but handed over a reserve of ~$29billion to Buhari He inherited a forex rate of N150 = $1, but handed over N251 = $1 to Buhari He enjoyed average crude oil price of $100/barrel in his 5 year regime, but Buhari has $41/barrel Not to mention the massive debts all over the place, including the fuel subsidy arrears since August 2014 running into over N400billion (which is partly the cause of the current fuel shortage). To correct your statement, GEJ inherited heaven and later turned it to |
Chaii... I knew it oooooo The moment Fashola was made minister for works, I knew Nigerian roads were going to be Pay-As-You-Go. ![]() Anyway, judging with the paucity of funds occasioned by the crash in oil prices, I think the only way Fashola can have any impact, and the only way anything can be achieved in terms of road construction is if tolls are returned. |
drss: jpphilips:..And what does signing of the FOI bill got to do with the fact that the same saintly hero who signed it actually banned media houses for reporting unfolding stories? By the way, never did I say that it is good for any government to gag the press. The irony of your arguments however is that the regime which some of you use as the 'saintly yardstick' was heavily involved in gagging the press and the present government which you choose to vilify has done no such thing so far. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/162255-nigerian-military-goes-berserk-blocks-newspapers-distribution-abuja-lagos.html http://allafrica.com/view/group/main/main/id/00030776.html http://saharareporters.com/news-page/day-2-nigerian-soldiers-seize-newspaper-delivery-vehicles-invade-newsstands-abuja http://dailypost.ng/2014/06/06/soldiers-seize-thousands-leadership-nation-vanguard-newspapers-friday-edition/ So what on earth do you guys possibly have to say about this? |
omolami:The so called media ban to suppress information on boko haram atrocities was signed and instituted by your lord and saviour GEJ. When newspaper houses were sealed last year because they reported some damage done by BH, what was your response?... just a year ago, it was even forbidden to report bomb blasts in market places... Following the attack on Chibok community, no local station was allowed to report it until after foreign media revealed the carnage to the world. Just last year, when only external media bodies like saharareporters, BBC and aljazeera could dare to report BH activities, what was your reaction?... I'm sure you were amongst those who also called SR boko sympathisers because they dared to report what others couldn't report. Now instead of you to criticise the systematic problem where our military keeps shrouding things of this nature in secrecy, you are here blaming Buhari and APC for a problem which was obviously started by your hero? What was your take when this was happening? http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/06/fg-urges-media-blackout-boko-haram/ |
