DONSMITH123:Puncture opposition! ![]() |
This news report is so wrong on all levels. Did the doctors say he died because he had one kidney?... Why does the report have to focus primarily on that to bring ridicule to the dead? ![]() |
Only pure dullards living in irrational denial would blame the present administration for the nosedive in Nigeria's economy. |
These PDP cry cry babies. When are they going to be mature and let go of their grudges against this one man?... There is virtually nothing either they or Saraki himself can do to stop Amaechi from being confirmed. Should they even attempt to withdraw support from Saraki and have him removed as SP, then their man Ekweremmadu will also be removed as DSP; I don't think the PDP is ready to go down that line. |
If one checks, you will be shocked to find out the Op is not a kid. But with such slow reasoning, it's difficult to classify what category he falls into. |
Interesting! |

Kano politics should be left for Kano people... No comments! |
Yanks101:You have still reiterated a point I'm trying to make; having an Igbo man as president will not in any way change the fundamental problem of the SE. Just the same way the north has always produced rulers but yet still remains the most backward and poverty stricken region in Nigeria. Regarding the SE, we are doing well today not because of better political leadership at the local level, but rather we are doing well solely due to individual efforts. I'm sure you will agree with me on that? The last time we had real leaders in the SE was in the days of great people like Dee Sam Mbakwe; since then, all we've had are mediocre charlatans. Whether we break away from Nigeria or not, Igbos in our industrous ways will continue to maintain a high standard of living in the SE. But then, if any serious positive change in these standards must be achieved, we have to first of all address the problem of political leadership at the local level before we start thinking federal. Before we start talking of what the hausa or yoruba man is doing to us at the federal level, we should have talked about what we are doing at the local level to clean our house. If we cannot approach this problem in this systematic way by addressing the local level first before going to the federal, I'm afraid even if we achieve an actualisation of Biafra, our case may be worse than the confusion and chaos presently ongoing in south sudan. |
Ngwaukwu1:I may be wrong, but I can assure you that the misadventure of GEJ in aso rock was only possible because GEJ himself was weak, indecisive and he lacked public administrative skills to a large extent. He also committed several flaws which made it possible and very easy for the opposition to harass him. There is hardly any leader in a complex nation like Nigeria that will not be bamboozled with all those accusations and counter-accusations. But the way the leader reacts to them is very important, it will determine whether more bombs will keep coming or not and will also determine whether he will stay afloat or not. I also subscribe absolutely to your recommendations of Igbo leaders concentrating on the local scene to improve the lives of Igbos at the local level. Never has it been heard that Igbo states did not receive federal allocations; if only our leaders and pressure groups can concentrate at the local level, scrutinise local leaders (governors, LGA chairmen and councillors) and force out excellent performance from the leaders at the home base, I can assure you that when the rest of Nigeria sees how wonderfully well the SE is doing in all economic and social indices, they would virtually beg an Igbo man to come and be president. However, instead of calling for accountability at the local levels, it seems our attention is always fixated at the federal; hence the complaints or marginalisation and the calls for secession. Once again, I may be wrong, but this is just my personal opinion. |
crixtex:Naa.. Far from it. I may be a social or government critic, but I am far from the PDP/GEJ styled wailers. ![]() |
thekingsmen:Now you may disagree with me on this but the only reason why the propaganda and harassment of Jonathan was possible was because Jonathan himself lacked to a large extent, the required strength and leadership qualities to lead a complex nation like Nigeria; Jonathan himself was not cut out to be an administrator, he lacked courage and he had too many flaws which the opposition easily used against him. The Hausas hated GEJ from the word GO! because they feel he usurped their turn to rule and the SW and other regions lost faith in GEJ strictly because of his perceived incompetence. Regarding the hatred and mistrust for Igbos, that is not a hidden fact; I served my NYSC in Kaduna and I experienced the 'iyamiri' and 'Igbo can never be president' taunts first hand but trust me, that is rubbish. Had Yaradua not died and had GEJ not contested in 2011, I can assure you that an Igbo man would have been the president of Nigeria in 2015 (or 2019 at most). |
Curlieweed:I totally share your sentiments, I am absolutely not an advocate of a president or any leader coming from my tribe because I totally understand it's worthlessness. The northerners ruled Nigeria more than any other group yet they remain the most backward and most poverty stricken. OBJ ruled Nigeria for 8 years but that did not help his people in any way and likewise GEJ who ruled for 5 years, his leadership did not positively affect the common man even in his immediate hamlet (except for the politicians and militants who received mega bucks). Now I have only decided to speak on the issue of Igbo presidency because there are many people out there who actually think it matters; I was only addressing a comment raised by one of such persons, not that I really care whether where a leader comes from. |
EUROBOMBER:No I disagree with you! The Ijaws and the SS are not treacherous people. You need to understand that surviving in a country like Nigeria is like a rat race; everyone cares only about himself and everyone does what they think is expedient to protect their own interests. If the Ijaws/SS are as treacherous as you claim, the truth then is that they are not more treacherous than we Igbos or the yorubas or the hausas or any other group. Everyone is just looking out for himself, all man for himself. Alliances are for mutual benefit and for it to work, both sides need to compromise on some of their requirements in order to fit into the demands and expectations of the other party. Doing away with the SE+SS alliance will not be a good idea because no alliance is ever a waste. However, if the SE must get to the top, we need more than just an alliance with the SS. |
thekingsmen:Now that is the exact defeatist attitude that will continue to keep us backwards. Who told you it is only the Igbos that are not trusted?.. Do you think the yorubas trust the HAusas and vice versa?... DO you think the middle belt or SS trusts any other group in Nigeria and vice versa?... It would do us good to understand that nobody trusts nobody and there are no brothers in a jungle. In politics, if an alliance must be formed, the terms of agreement have to be agreed in such a way and manner that the benefits to both sides are known before hand; it is like a simple contract. There is no way in which a proper political alliance would be formed between 'A' and 'B', and then after 'A' rules, he hands over power to 'C.' This continuous paranoia of Igbos have prevented us for ages from forming proper alliances and that is exactly why we cannot produce a president. But instead of coming back to the drawing board to strategize, many minds have given up and believe the only way out is a divorce. That's unfortunate! |
EUROBOMBER:The only people making it impossible for Igbos to rule Nigeria are Igbos themselves. We cannot expect other ethnic groups to do all the politicking, win the coveted price and then hand it over to the Igbos. If igbos must rule Nigeria, we need to play superior politics and we need to grab the trophy (not wait for it to be given to us) and in order to do this, it surely should involve building solid bridges with at least one other major ethnic group. Instead of doing this, we seem to be burning the remaining bridges we still have by hating and accusing everyone else. The simple reason the Igbos have been unable to produce a president and the reason this feat may be difficult even in the near future is because we always make wrong political choices. Without going too far into the past, an igbo presidency should have been actualised in 2015 if GEJ did not break the PDP rotational presidency principle. I remember vividly when former senate president Ken Nnamani and Vincent Ogbulafor were championing this cause and preaching against Igbos supporting the emergence of GEJ as PDP candidate in 2011. These 2 men warned of the consequence of this move on the planned Igbo presidency of 2015. But we all dismissed their advice, supported GEJ and even Ogbulafor was sacked unceremoniously as the PDP chairman; I think Ogbulafor had to even resign from politics after that incident. Fast-forward to 2015, Igbo presidency now seems like a mirage and here we are blaming others. Just like I mentioned earlier, politics is a game of numbers and it's a game of 'winner takes all;' Nobody will work hard, play superior politics, win the coveted trophy and then hand it over to Igbos. Now is the time for Igbos to start building bridges and playing superior politics but instead, we are busy bombing all existing bridges by attacking all other major ethnic groups. Even if all other groups in Nigeria decide to give the presidency to Igbos today, 10 years may not be enough for us to unite and choose a consensus candidate. In all past elections in Nigeria, Igbos have always produced the highest number of candidates, albeit from mushroom parties. Please can someone tell me I am wrong in this simple analysis? |
Hahaha... I love this. While the Ipob faithfuls are in one slum in india planning to harrass Buhari, the reasonable and comfortable Nigerians of Igbo origin are presenting him a 'shocking' gift ![]() www.nairaland.com/attachments/3008714_bubu1_jpeg88275f10f2430d13576e18436b244ea1 |

TSNG: erunz: PRYCE: Icecomrade: osaslord500: Joejonah: gudnex22: bonechamberlain: FolabiCash: kaycid77: kaycid77:Sometimes I just wonder how amazing it is that PDP seems to only attract petty brains as their supporters. Firstly, the petition was brought forward by ADC and not APC. Secondly, did any of you PDP trolls and wailers even bother to read the story to ascertain why the petition was dismissed in the first place by the tribunal? ![]() The petitioner’s lawyer had signed the petition as Sam Kagbo whereas on the roll of lawyers, the name is Sam Peter Kagbo. The above technical error (name of lawyer) is the reason why the tribunal threw out the petition in the first instance and you PDPians think this is a justified reason to not give a fair hearing to the petitioner?... Now the Supreme court in the spirit of justice has ordered the tribunal to resume the case and you bloody wailers are blaming Buhari and democracy?... This is clearly a shameless case of the PDP grabbing and hanging on to very thin straws. |
Festus Odimegwu should have been a better Imo nominee. But they claimed he wasn't a card carrying member and that he was Tinubu's choice ![]() |
vanunu:First of all, somehow, some way I don't think the full fine would be paid. Secondly, this should serve as a deterrent to all companies that our regulatory bodies are no longer walkovers. MTN and all other networks were given prior notice and they knew what was coming but chose to flout simple rules because they all know Nigeria is a jungle where anything goes. This is a good move! |
Yanks101:Show me one link of Nnamdi calling GEJ unprintable names and I will show you 50 links of Nnamdi calling on his faithful followers to hate and reject APC. Talking of ignorance, can you kindly show me a single IPOB rally/protest which existed before 2015?... Nnamdi and Ipob may have existed long before now and there is no doubt about that, but even an infant knows that their popularity and membership of IPOB grew only after the announcement of the 2015 election results so it is only right to say 95% of the noise they make today was catalysed and triggered by the election results. |
crixtex:Lol.. Look b4 you leap bro.. |
olapluto:Absolutely! The Ipob sect guys are just nothing but disgruntled jonathanians and they've never failed too hide it. THe nnamdi guy has never failed to hide his hatred for anything APC and has called on and threatened his followers on several occasions to vote only PDP. I recently watched the video of the protest at the Nigerian embassy in Japan, they continually referred to Buhari as a paedophile terrorist president who has been killing Igbo women and children. They also claim that Nigeria was under a democracy when GEJ was in power but that we stopped practising a democracy from the second PMB took over; such glaring hypocrisy. Its just too obvious that all these agitations and noise is just an expression of hatred towards Buhari for daring to win GEJ in a democratic election (not even through a coup). Never in my life have I seen such childish tantrums coming from full grown adults. I find it very depressing whenever I go online and see these multitude of lost souls bringing ridicule to my great tribe and also fuelling needless hatred and enmity ![]() |
FAAN, in its statement said: “Our stand is that the said ranking was unfounded as it did not take cognisance of the fact that the airport terminal was still undergoing remodelingOf course everyone knows the reason behind the rating is because of the non-existence of an airport hall; or what exactly are these FAAN people trying to say? This is like an athlete who loses in a race and then comes up to say he didnt lose, that he only took the last position because he had a leg injury. And then one begins to wonder how this excuse negates the fact that he is at the bottom of the table. |
It will be recalled that out of the 96 committees, the APC got 47, while the PDP took 46 seats.Rogues! Rogues! Rogues!!! ...And if one should ask, what is the meaning or difference between Grade 'A' and Grade 'B' or 'C' committees?... The difference would be all about the amount of money being controlled; it is never about what benefits the nation but always about money. |
Eziachi:Great words from a wise man! I still can't understand where our youths picked up this strange ideology of hating, abusing and maligning every other tribe in order to achieve a purpose. I still cannot understand how anyone would think a noble purpose can be achieved by spreading hate and disrespect all over the place. |
God help us!.. And what makes the black man inferior to the rest of the world?... Nobody will get punished for this, some will say, thank God no life was lost so therefore there's no need to punish anyone. But the fact remains that even if many were killed, the black man in the usual sentimental ways would start defending the culprits and claiming it is either witch-hunting or just an attack from his enemies; so and so, the case dies a natural death, the relatives bury their dead and we attribute it to the will of God. God help us! |
The ignorance of some people (e.g. the Op) is sickening. ![]() |
All these mushroom blogspots carrying this fable. From igbere tv to savinggrace to breaking times to guardianusa. ![]() |
Illiterate and jobless Igbo jonathanians keep embarrassing my great tribe. I watched a recent video of the IPOb demonstrations in japan and some of the dolts actually claimed openly that Nigeria had a democracy under GEJ but that democracy ended the day GEJ handed over to buhari. ![]() These efulefus also claimed they will burn down the nigerian embassy in japan if nnamdi kanu wasnt released in 24hrs, such senselessness! I still cant understand why these deluded ones cant just sink it into their skulls that jonatjan has been removed through a democratic election (not even through a military coup) and honathan will NEVER return to rule nigeria. A valid question raised by an Igbo elder in the US to Mazi Kanu: "I do not want ndigbo to to accept that a change in name will make anything to be different. There are about 7 states in Nigeria today which are predominantly Igbos and never has it been heard that any of these states hasn't received federal allocation. Never has it also been heard that any major group has ever agitated in the state levels to make things better for our people. But instead, we seem to be jumping straight to the federal level with these agitations. When shall we say Igbo people and Igbo states are doing extraordinarily well and will do even better if we stay on their own?... I am not seeing that but instead I keep hearing that if we separate, we will become great. Let use the latest country created by the UN which is South Sudan as an example; at inception, it was all about excitement, but now, the people are doing what?.. the people are dying and killing themselves. THE ISSUE IS NOT WHETHER WE ANSWER BIAFRA OR NIGERIA, THE ISSUE IS, WHAT ARE WE DOING FOR OURSELVES NDIGBO? So my brothers, before we start talking about what the Hausa's are doing to us, have we talked about what we are doing to clean our house?" |
