PassingShot: That Ahmed Joda decided not to ridicule the PDP transition team by saying what he said did not mean Lai was wrong. If anything, his claim has since been proved to be correct. You surely know that the presidency shifted the earlier date that was announced to submit handover documents to Joda's team. Also, PMB on many occasions has voiced out his frustrations at the delay in handing over the documents. The most recent being on Independence Day address to the nation.
Up till now, PDP has not provided evidence that Daura is a card carrying member of APC. Yes, he was close to APC amd served in a committee, but calling someone a card carrying member has to be proved beyond PDP's propaganda.
I don't know much about this and I am not in a position to search for the facts now.
What is your point here? Two opposing parties tried to outdo one another in claiming credit for collective success is pure politics. He didn't tell a lie neither was there any propaganda here. That he chose to reckon with Lagos State govts efforts more than whatever efforts the FG claimed to have made is not a crime neither is it a lie/propaganda.
More Nigerians respect and appreciate the quality Lai Muhammed is made of. He speaks with facts and he is very eloquent and as such will be taken serious. He is eminently qualified to speak on behalf of Nigeria and sincere and not-too-partisan citizens will be happy he will be our minister of information. I've always ignored all those people who keep lamenting that Lai is a liar, I ignore their statements because I know too well these guys are just drowning men/women impulsively making these pronouncements out of sheer frustration. The only reason Mr Lai is hated is because of his ferrocious use of words and logic to dismantle his opponents; his words cut life a knife through the hearts of the Jonathanian sympathisers and when they totally lack a reasonable argument to counter his points, they simply just respond by screaming 'liar.' Ask them today to mention one of these lies, all they do is blab around and then end up screaming 'liar' again. |

Adesiji77: As Nigerians earnestly await the announcement of the remaining 15 names on President Muhammadu Buhari’s second batch of ministerial list, Vanguard gathered that below are the names contained in the list submitted to Senate President Bukola Saraki, earlier today.
See names:
1. Former Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Barr Mohammed Bello;
2. Former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola;
3. Former Chairman of the National Population Census, NPC, Chief Festus Odimegwu;
4. Former spokesman of the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties, CNPP, Osita Okechukwu;

Others nominees also said to be enlisted are Heineken Lokpobiri, former speaker of the Bayelsa House of Assembly and two-time senator; James Ocholi (SAN), who recently contested for the APC governorship ticket in Kogi state but lost to Abubakar Audu; Anthony Anwuka, a professor of education administration who was secretary to the government of Imo state; Isaac Adewole, former Vice Chancellor, University of Ibadan and a professor of obstetrics and gynaecology.
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/10/professors-two-time-senator-others-make-buharis-ministerial-list/ Odimegwu and Anwuka are from the same Imo state. I wonder how this will scale through when you consider our federal character mess. |

6. Festus Odimegwu, first class degree holder, former MD/CEO and transformer of Nigerian Breweries Ltd, a man who voluntary resigned from his job as MD of National Population Commission under Jonathan for integrity and principle reasons!

19. Osita Okechukwu, successful lawyer and former spokesman of the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties, CNPP.; man who has been very consistent as opposition person all through the years.
These are the 19 I can recollect now (out of 36 names) and some daftie claimed there is no technocrat on the list!!!
How hate for Buhari and his region will so devour some people’s soul!!! Lord, please save some people's souls! Festus odimegwu and tony anwuka are both from the same imo state. I doubt they would both make it. Though there are lots of other agencies and government parastatals that they can still be made to head. Ministers are not the only FG appointment. |

There is nothing wrong with Amaechi being the ND minister. Anyone who's angry with that can do the needful by jumping in front of GEJ trains. If they don't like him as a minister for ND affairs, they wouldnt also like him even if he's made the minister for FCT. Besides, the ND Affairs ministry is a federal ministry and not a state or zonal ministry so it shouldn't be the business of the wailers in Rivers state who the FG decides to appoint. The people of the zone who are angry with Amaechi should stick with their governors and legislators who they elected. |

9jaflaver: We, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu, are compelled to call for a total boycott of British-Nigeria and her murderous president Muhammadu Buhari because British-Nigeria is a rogue terrorist state that tramples on every conceivable human rights, particularly, the rights of the beleaguered people of Biafra and IPOB— the organization of Biafrans agitating for freedom from the wicked British-Nigeria contraption and edifice of genocide.
Buhari is an avowed Islamist, genocidist, tribalist, and unabashed Boko Haramist. Buhari is terrorizing Biafrans—an indigenous people forced against their wish to remain in British-Nigeria—because they are exercising their United Nations Rights of Indigenous Peoples to self- determination. He has been killing, terrorizing, and mounting roadblocks; abducting, beating, shooting and incarcerating unarmed Biafrans who are peaceably agitating to be free from marginalization and genocide; thus, breaking International Law and violating the United Nations Charter on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples of which British-Nigeria is a co-signatory.
Buhari has committed genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity and ought not to be embraced by other world leaders. He should be at International Criminal Court (ICC) and not at United Nations. We call on the civilized nations of the world to Boycott President Muhammadu Buhari and British-Nigeria before it is too late. Thank you.

kingdompropty: I am expecting the APC goon to invade this thread and nd try hard to defend their master.
This is part of what you get when you have a super clueless leader.
1. Sell of those refineries.
2. Unbundle the oil industry and act only as the oil police. DPR.
3. Look for other viable sources of energy. A clueless leader right? I can bet you that in the administration of all the past Nigerian leaders, including and especially during the reign of your hero GEJ, NNPC and the FG could not even account for how much they were losing. Yet you think they were 'clue-full' and this administration clueless? Routine losses from oil theft alone in the last 5 years stood at a staggering 400,000 barrels per day (appx $40million per day). If you do the maths for a period of 8months, that amounts to approximately 1.9Trillion; and this is from crude theft alone, not even mentioning every other gaping financial holes the NNPC under other administrations were known for. Yet someone thinks they were 'clue-full' and this administration clueless? What we have here is simply a leadership which for the first time in Nigeria's history, now infuses financial accountability and transparency in its dealings. For the first time, someone is now making efforts to estimate and publish the estimated losses from the inefficiency in the system. A wise man knows the first step in solving a lingeting problem is to first define and quantify its extent. But unfortunately, someone who appears to be possessed with the spirit of non-discernment thinks this sort of approach is a sign of cluelessness? |

I know some would wonder why I am referring to the last administration. ... but the fact is that I am very very sure that if Premium Times had raised this allegation against certain people in the NNPC in the last administration, some of our misguided brothers from the east would instantly swing into action by defending the accused even without bothering to allow investigations take place; of course in their twisted brains, they assumed every single allegation of corruption, irrespective of the person or office involved was a direct/indirect assault on the 'good' administration of GEJ.

My question is, what's the difference between Fashola's website/borehole/car park scandal and stella Oduah's bullet proof car scandal? If you're of the thought that Fashola did a lot in lagos while he was governor would u now say stella did nothing when she was a minister? My conclusion, let the hammer of anti-corruption hit anyone irrespective of political party that steal from our common wealth even if it's a penny.
http://thenewsnigeria.com.ng/2015/08/trending-fasholas-n78-3-million-website-scandal/
http://www.punchng.com/news/n255m-car-scandal-presidential-panel-indicts-oduah/ Both cases of inflated contracts are condemnable, however may I remind you that Fashola did his without breaking the law; Fashola got an approval from the state assembly so what he did might have been morally wrong but it wasnt illegal. On the other hand, Oduah did not get the budget approval from the NASS for those cars but she still went ahead and bought them at a price which was eventually even above the price she presented to the NASS in the first instance which was even rejected. In summary, Oduah made illegal extra-budgetary expenses. Hopefully, you now see the difference between both cases?... If Nigeria was a sane country, she should be in prison today. |
