It is not possible for 1 person to be at over 6000 towns ,cities, this is why we have dukes in them to take care of them.. So the people most pay their taxes to their dukes to repair them for you.
If anyone deceive you , that he can be in over 6000 places a day.. the person is telling lies..
The country of the kingdom of western Nigeria is different from Nigeria.. So by laws. the dukes of the various town have power to collect taxes to repair their road /schools.
You can not pay taxes to Nigeria.. that why Nigeria have refuse to repair your road... but you people have continue to shout Nigeria.. Your name is the country of the kingdom of western Nigeria. Pay your taxes to your local dukes.. for them to fix your schools.. and road.. Federal Road |

kettykin: Does the efcc need any evidence to probe someone that spent more than N2b to celebrate his 60th birthday ,does efcc need any evidence to dig into the financial records of lagos state from 1999 to 2007 even for a state that spent N15 to construct 1km of road, does the effc need any effort to probe the ownership of Tvc television , the nation newspaper, oriental hotel, the first nation etc. Is not the same code of conduct that is probing Saraki for asset declarations is the same code of conduct bureau not with Tinubu's asset declaration in 1999 and 2003.
The same people that accused Goodluck Jonathan government of not fighting corruption have brought gross favoritism, nepotism, partiality into the whole anti corruption fight making it look like a plan to eliminate opposition where as the entrenched corrupt people are busy with their loots. Stop speaking conjectures and hearsays and getting yourself worked up. There is a process through which things work. The Tinubu you yalk about, even OBJ, Yar'adua, GEJ and the entire pdp machinery have tried their best to find incriminating evidence which would be used to lock him up or at least just clip his wings but nobody could. If you are a smart person, that should tell you something; the man is a smooth criminal. But the fact remains that, knowing he is a criminal is not enough reason for the efcc to arrest and try him, evidence has to be brought forward, a petition has to be made. If you have evidence that he stole the 2billion he used for his birthday or you have evidence proving that he stole the money with which he established TVC, why dont you just bting this evidence forward?.... So far, no one has been able to do that. The efcc will not go after him because you THINK HE IS CORRUPT or because you say so on the pages of nairaland. I believe you must be educated so you should know what I'm talking about. |
Politics › Re: Why Saraki's Arraignment Is Unacceptable To Objective Observers by obailala(m): 7:12pm On Sep 18, 2015 |
hedonistic: We have all been following the CCB and Saraki saga. While fair-minded and objective observers have objected to the clear witch-hunt against Saraki, others who are either naive or mischievous or downright hypocritical are focusing on the guilt or otherwise of the accused.
It is true that no one is above the law and that the main issue should be whether the accused is guilty or not. But that is only looking at one angle. Remember that the law presumes your innocence until you are proven guilty.
The REAL issue is the Senate Presidency. If Saraki is subjected to the ignominy of a trial, it is expected that he would either resign or be impeached - which is the ultimate desire and endgame of his detractors. Now, if he is eventually found innocent of charges, you noise makers who claim to be interested in the rule of law would not clamour for his reinstatement as Senate President. You would not clamour for his sullied image to be cleaned. Countless examples abound in Nigeria, but I prefer to cite one particularly pertinent example from overseas which still rankles till date.
Dominic Strauss-Kahn (DSK), one of the best leaders the IMF has ever had (and a frontrunner in the French presidential election at the time) , was subjected to this sort of public trial and ignominy, and was forced to relinquish his headship of the IMF as a result... Only for him to be found innocent afterwards. Was he reinstated as Head of the IMF? No. Is he still a frontrunner for the French presidency? No. Did the public care about that? No. Has his public image been reset to the pre-trial state? No.
This is the issue. Some characters don't want a Saraki as Senate President, hence this ridiculous episode. As long as we agree that he is innocent until proven guilty, then we must understand the resistance to this CCB charade. .
If Saraki will retain the Senate Presidency UNTIL the judicial processes are exhausted, then no problem. Has any Nigerian ever relinquished his/her position because of an ongoing trial? We all know nothing will come out of that trial as usual so Saraki in my opinion is just being unnecessarily stubborn and calling so much attention to himself. |

easternguy1: ABUJA—Cash crunch has hit the National Assembly and forced the Senate to put on hold the public hearing on power probe.
According to a Senator, who did not want his name mentioned, the cash crunch was also largely responsible for crippling oversight activities of the various committees in the Senate and House of Representatives.
The Senate
Making reference to the cash crunch being experienced in the National Assembly, a member of the Senate’s ad hoc committee on power, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa (PDP Abia North), said the much-expected public hearing on power sector cannot hold for now due to non-availability of funds to run it.
It will be recalled that Senate President, Bukola Saraki, had last month announced a 13-man ad hoc committee to carry out a holistic investigation into the management of funds appropriated to the power sector since the Olusegun Obasanjo’s civilian administration.

cornoil: But we should not forget quickly that he spent part of this money massively for APC and to sponsor SAI Buhari to upstage GEJ especially in the Middle-Belt and Sahara or others didn't see anything wrong. The same way Saraki accumulated wealth was the same way every Political Godfather accumulated wealth, let's also pause and think on how Tinubu aquired his trillions of dollars or others. Tinubu didn't inherit wealth like Saraki. Let's leave Saraki alone or we beam search light into every Politically enriched Godfather in this country. I think the man called for a fight when he dared the entire APC machinery thrice: 1. By going against his party and forcefully making himself SP 2. By going against his party and placing a PDP man as deputy 3. By going against his party and forcefully appointing the rest of the senate principal officers single handedly Dogara was a bit sensible in his own case, he only had an ambition to be speaker and he lobbied extensively for it and won a clean and fair election. Dogara also conceded smartly and allowed his party nominations to be the principal officers in the house. On the other hand, Saraki bit a bit more than he could chew by even locking his party members outside when he declared himself SP. I don't think this war he began will end too well for him. Buhari doesn't seem to mind, but there are many others in the party who are bothered with Saraki's dictatorship. |

Politics › Re: Why Buhari Should NOT Appoint Falana As Minister of Justice by obailala(m): 10:47pm On Sep 17, 2015 |
BishopMagic: Outside Falana being a typified ambulance chaser and his highly partisan approach in legal interpretation and sense of Justice which has eroded any respect I use to hold of him, the fact that Falana is being propped by that kleptomaniac drug trafficker, Tinubu is more than enough reason why Buhari should never consider appointing Falana as Minister of Justice.
The lame game plan by Tinubu in his draught logic in this game of chess, is to position Falana into a position that will serve his own selfish political interst.
You may recall that during the Yaradua impasse, the responsibility of setting up a medical board of inquiry into the health status of the now late president fell primarily on the then Minister of Justice, Mike Aadonka.
This is exactly what Tinubu hopes to do with Falana what Mike Aadonka refused to do.
Tinubu believes strongly that Buhari's health will soon be an issue and the only way he can secure his puppet Osinbanjo to be appointed acting President is to see that the President of the Senate and Artorney-General be under his control.
This is why Tinubu is rooting for Falana.
Anybody in the Buhari camp reading this should first and foremost consider this motive above others on why Tinubu wants Falana. I got irritated after reading the second sentence of this trash.... Sometimes I wonder whether you people even root out these imaginations from your heads or maybe from the asss. |

Rawani: It's all about PERSPECTIVE and SEMANTICS.
To the General and field commander, the critical backbone of BH has been defeated (arms drugs and food supplies blockade, seizure of territory, decimation of the enemy fighting force etc.)
To the President who promised to end Boko Haram, his metric for success goes beyond defeating their military capabilities, but includes the complete stoppage of their operations including recruitment, lone wolf attacks, recovery of hostages, dismantling of propaganda machinery etc.
The President is in perfect order as he did not contradict himself. I have tried severally to explain this simple point to several Jonathanians/anti-buharists, but I have come to the realisation that no matter how you wash or bath a pig, a pig will still remain a pig. After explaining this to some people, they nodded as if they understood, but the very next morning, they returned excitedly with the same criticism that Buhari was contradicting his military. These guys are irredeemable! Before I thought they were only feigning ignorance just to have something to say, but the fact is that some are now gradually becoming truly and permanently disabled mentally. |
