Mister, stop being mischievous and simply post the links on NL or elsewhere where you condemned Dr Ariyo and Oba Rilwanu Akiolu for his threat on Igbos.

Show us where you condemned the action of many of your folks who supported the Oba's threat on Igbos.

Also, show where you condemned the despicable actions of your people who take to the media to rejoice and taunt the Igbos for being killed in mass in the North, in the same 'One Nigeria'.

And to add to the insult some of your Yoruba folks come online professing the accommodative and peace-loving attitude of the Hausa-Fulani-Kanuris in the Nirth when the reverse is the case.

I know your type - a typical Yoruba man from a tribe that have made careers out of lies, falsehood, noise-making, propaganda, abuse and slurs!

You tried in vain to portray yourself as being objective and sincere but ended up being clever by half.
It has always been in your character to deny and defend the indefensible!

Mischievous bigot, for one Yoruba person killed in the North there are hundreds of Igbos killed!

Why do you Yoruba people treasure lies and falsehood to the extent of ass-licking their Hausa-Fulani-Kanuri slave masters.
Recently, some of your folks have begun carrying wicked lies about how Hausa-Fulani-Kanuri people have been peace-loving and accommodative. And that it is the Igbos who akways provoke their host, warranting the pogrom committed against Igbos in the North!
But truth remains that such accommodative spirit is not extended to the Christian minorities in the North and Middle-belt. These minorities are maltreated and relegated to the background.

Pretender, can you justify your prejudiced views by providing the links on NL or elsewhere where you condemned Dr Ariyo and Oba Rilwanu Akiolu threat to the Igbos here and right now for the benefit of your readership?

A jackass who is mischievous and detest the truth would come online pontificating when in reality they are the problem of Nigeria.

Why should certain cretins and street urchins from Yoruba tribe and their co-travellers always talk about war when issues of self-determination are mentioned? Get it into your thick skull that strange bedfellows are not meant to be together!

The great USSR disintegrated without a shot fired. Many of your ilks who are dead weights and lazy suckers tend to twist out of human form when there is a slight talk of disintegration of Nigeria. It is despicable!

When everybody understands that NO ONE is safe from an oppressive system, peace will come. Justice precedes peace.
An unjust system cannot endure.
I am not yoruba so I didnt bother reading beyond your first flawed statement. I hate tribalists and cannot waste my precious time arguing with one because tribalism, just like a hard drug, erodes the sanity of those who are involved in it... and yes, the surest sign to know an irredeemable igbo tribalist is that their handicapped brains always assume everyone who's against their opinion must be yoruba.

Sincere9gerian:
You're comparing select list of GEJ's appointments with full list of appointments made by Buhari so far. That cannot be a fair comparison.

Moreover, the sequence of appointments is not the same. If GEJ had began his govt with the op list of appointments, the uproar would have been worse than we currently have
Oh, so you agree there are still many other appointments to be made?... So why is Buhari being crucified now even though we all know the appointments are very far from complete??... Why dont you wait for Buhari to complete his appointments before you begin to judge him?

The list is a direct comparison of the appointments by Buhari so far with the origins of the people who GEJ appointed into the same positions. So if Buhari can be said to be an ethnic bigot based on these few appointments, then GEJ was also an ethnic bigot based on these same few appointments.
Politics › Re: Jonathan Appointments Vs Buhari Appointment direct comparison by obailala(m): 3:08pm On Sep 01, 2015
Interesting!... So in other words, GEJ the hero was also as guilty (even more guilty) of the exact same thing which the nation is crucifying Buhari for?... Wow!

I have always been of the opinion that this side-by-side comparison should be done, else we would never appreciate the true picture. Things Llike this should be pushed to the front page to shut the nay-sayers/wailing-looters. We need to know the truth instead of always acting and arguing on baseless conjectures.

Oshiomole is not saying GEJ or his ministers stole the money, he's only asking for an explanation as to how the money was used since no documentation has explained this.

Is that too much to ask for in the spirit of decency and transparency?

By the way, for those asking whether Oshiomole is the new EFCC chairman, NO he is not. But President Buhari appointed him the head of an investigative committee to unravel how funds in the ECA account were depleted from $20bn to $2bn in the last 5 years

In the 60's, innocent Igbos were dragged out into the streets and murdered in mass numbers in different parts of the country; the aftermath of that led Ojukwu to call for a secession.

45 years after the war, a probably drunk ex-olokpa says Igbos would drown in the lagoon if they dont vote his candidate in lagos and someone thinks this empty statement from one man is a sensible justifications for secession and the imminent breakdown of law and order?... I think this is an insult to the memories of those who died in the war and also an insult to the sensibilities of reasonable Igbos.

Stop being hypocritical and go worry about your people.

Where was your voice when many Igbos were massacred and killed during and after 2011 elections?

Where was your voice when Oba Rilwanu Akiolu of Lagos threatened to drown Igbos if they refused to vote for his anointed candidate?

Where were you when Fashola deported Igbos from Lagos to Onitsha bridge in the middle of the night, in the same 'One Nigeria'?

What did you do to stop the constant hate messages that have been going on for decades in the mosques and the unconscionable, cold-hearted waste of human lives and reckless destruction of means of livelihoods in the North and Middle-belt?
From what you have just written, it is very clear you have been brainwashed and now lack the ability to reason objectively. I would try to address the misconceptions you have raised but I am very sure your brain would not still assimilate my explanations.

Where was your voice when many Igbos were massacred and killed during and after 2011 elections?
Not only Igbos were killed, even amongst the Corpers who died, there were several Yorubas and people of other tribes. Only a mischievous and paranoid mind would interpret that as an attack against Igbos in other to justify the imminent breakdown of law and order which IPOB youths are brewing. I dont expect you to assimilate this though.

Where was your voice when Oba Rilwanu Akiolu of Lagos threatened to drown Igbos if they refused to vote for his anointed candidate?
A drunk retired policeman claims Igbos would drown in the lagoon (probably spiritually) if they don't vote his choice in an election, and you flare up claiming it is an attack on Igbos which warrants Igbos running away to a new country. Is that how petty you are?... the empty words of one man, is that what you want to compare with the massacre Igbos suffered in the 60's to warrant the recent call for war?

Where were you when Fashola deported Igbos from Lagos to Onitsha bridge in the middle of the night, in the same 'One Nigeria'?
Fashola also deported destitute Yorubas to Oyo and all the other south-west states. In like manner, Peter Obi and even Amaechi and Akpabio's governments were also involved in some cases of deporting destitute people. Once again, I still cannot understand why some mischievously paranoid minds have interpreted fashola's action as a YORUBA ATTACK AGAINST IGBOS.

What did you do to stop the constant hate messages that have been going on for decades in the mosques and the unconscionable, cold-hearted waste of human lives and reckless destruction of means of livelihoods in the North and Middle-belt?
Northerners have always been blood thirsty vampires especially under the guise of their religion. That your mind has also interpreted this as a direct attack specifically against Igbos, this is beyond my comprehension.

Now a group of misguided jobless youths are on the streets in the SE hatching plans to unleash havoc all in the name of secession and some comfortable thoughtless people like yourself are behind their computers urging our youths to go kill themselves by fighting with the police. May i remind you that this is exactly how bokoharam started.
Politics › Re: $700m Second Niger Bridge Missing, Oshiomhole Insists by obailala(m): 1:10pm On Sep 01, 2015
48noble:
Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has called on a former minister of work, Mike Onolememen, to explain to Nigerians the whereabouts of $700 million (N140 billion) released for the unexecuted second Niger bridge project.
Mr. Oshiomhole said in a statement by his chief press secretary, Peter Okhiria, that he stood by an earlier statement that $700 million was drawn from the sovereign wealth funds for the project.
“Rather than crucify Comrade Oshiomhole for the disclosure, former Minister of Works should direct his energy and explanation to the managers of the Sovereign Wealth Fund who have depleted the savings on the explanation that it was meant for the 2nd Niger Bridge,” the statement said.
Mr. Oshiomhole said, “The revelation came from those who were managers of the Sovereign Wealth Funds and not figures manufactured by anybody”.
“They told our committee that about $700m dollars were taken from the Sovereign Wealth Fund for the Second Niger Bridge project,” Mr. Oshiomhole said.
Mr. Onolememen had on Friday in a statement denied the allegation. He said Mr. Oshiomhole was misleading Nigerians with “wild and spurious” allegations.
The former minister said, “The Federal Government of Nigeria, guided by the Transaction Adviser, Roughton International, agreed to provide a refundable Catalytic Funding of N30bn. By May 2015, N10bn Catalytic Funding was paid from the Federal Ministry of Works’ SURE-P Budget to fast-track the early and sub-structural works of the bridge. This implies that the successful concessionaire, JB-NSIA Consortium, has responsibility for the design, finance and construction of the project, as well as its operation.”
He added that the total project cost is N108bn (excluding duties and Value Added Tax) with a completion period of about 48 months. This cost was arrived at, after the Bureau of Public Procurement’s review of the concessionaire’s submitted cost of N138bn, the former minister said.
However, Mr. Oshiomhole said since the former minister was aware that no reasonable work had been done on the second Niger Bridge, he and the mangers of the sovereign wealth funds should simply explain to Nigeria what they did with the huge amount that was withdrawn for the project.
“The real people who should apologize to Nigerians for their many sins against the country are those who expended so much of our resources without any corresponding achievements to show for it,” the governor said.
The governor accused the former minister and the past administration of destroying existing roads rather than rehabilitate them.
He said, “In Edo state, the Aduwawa end of the Benin-Auchi road is almost impassable especially during this rainy season. As we speak, erosion has cut off the Benin-Auchi road into two and motorists are going through hell passing through that road. What about Benin- Abraka road; one hell of a road completely abandoned and vandalized. In the name of politics, they came trying to impress Edo people but ended up depressing all of us.”

Only corrupt ridden souls see the appointment of someone from their tribe as an achievement even though common sense has proved otherwise for ages. It is only in Nigeria that someone is appointed to a position to serve and you see his tribesmen and entire village follow him to church for thanksgiving proclaiming that God has blessed their brother and lifted him out of poverty.

It is only in Nigeria that you hear people openly say things like "JUICY APPOINTMENT" or "JUICY POSITION." E.g. Buhari has appointed his brothers to all the "JUICY POSITIONS" and now he wants to share other "NON-JUICY POSITIONS" to southerners.

Our people innocently make these statements out of the corrupt abundance of their hearts; in other words, a "JUICY POSITION" simply means a position where the occupier can steal a lot of money. This unfortunately is the reasoning of a typical Nigerian.

Now that his own part of the country has been pushed to the backyard of important appointments, I want to know if he has said anything about it.
Why did he chose to keep quiet? Could it be that he can't see more Pidgeons to buy?

Remember I said important appointments because Custom, Inec, SFG, DSS, Immigration, NNPC, All security positions, Nimasa etc are all gone.
I know some ignorant people will tell us that Buhari still have one million appointments such as head of girls brigade, Chairperson of Christian Mother and director of boys scout to make.

Buhari was voted to change the dilapidated status-quo. If his government fails, he takes all the blame so I am in total support of him doing his thing in anyway he deems it fit as long as it is within the confines of the law and as long as it brings the desired results. All I want is a fulfilment of a reasonable percentage of his campaign promises. Without much done, I am already beginning to smell the greatness that's being cooked from miles away.

Anyone who isn't happy with Buhari's style of leadership should hold on tight to their PVCs in preparation for 2019. SIMPLE!

I think I totally agree with Okogie on this one. The fight against corruption is a very dicey one especially in a country where EVERYBODY is corrupt. Whrn you fight corruption, corruption will definitely fight back and with the large squad of the corruption football team, corruption will definitely win the game.

As much as I would like to see these big thieves named and shamed and locked up, a more realistic and workable solution to this mess is to covertly negotiate/dialogue with the looters to recover the monies that can still be recovered. Else, we might just spend the rest of our lives battling in court and the team of looters would unleash their massive arsenal to derail the government and Nigeria.

Point of correction, the TSA idea was actually conceived in 2013 clearly under GEJ.

GEJ's government conceived this stellar idea since 2013 but didn't have the balls to implement it; who knows, they probably didnt enforce it because they knew it would seriously hinder their lootocracy.

It took the ascension of PMB to power for this stellar idea of GEJ conceived since 2013 to be enforced almost immediately and that should tell you a lot about Jonathan.

Now back to the topic, you ask why it's mainly people from Imo that are against Ipob. The answer is simple, ipob recruits are simply disgruntled GEJ supporters who are crying more than the bereaved (ijaws). We should always be clear on this, the present ipob/biafran secessionists are nothing more than the same lovers of the king of corruption GEJ. It's a pity how these villains have been able to successfully brainwash a large number of igbos into their delusion grandeur.

Imo has the highest number of non-GEJ supporters out of all SE and SS states and that's the reason behind the trend you see.

Generating power doesn't guarantee stable power in our industries and homes if distribution infrastructures weren't fixed by Jonathan administration. Buhari's body language can't change a transformer or build a substation when the discos are penny-less.

I cant help but totally agree with the Op. The 2015 elections have come and gone and the nation should have moved forward but the south still fights everyday across the political lines of APC vs PDP.

Whenever PMB appoints a northerner, the northerners (pdp+apc) just unite and accept the individual. However, whenever PMB appoints or attempts to appoint a southerner, we see all sorts of opposition and 'pull-him-down' syndrome at work from fellow southerners across the PDP vs APC lines. Now even the few manageable men like Fashola have been rubbished and we wonder why Buhari's appointments are pointing in the direction that southerners are corrupt.
