That is nt wat he is saying, from my experience if there is no adequate ventilation on the farm. One may experience issues like this farmer is experiencing. Also when building a pen it nt advisable to build on the wall or close to the wall. I have experience a sitaution like that on the farm, where we had thick bush or grass any hw u call it. Until we started making sure that we cut dem routinely dat when we started seeing more eggs. Also ventilation is also very important when constructing a pen.

I intend planting some trees (e.g pawpaw and maybe plantain) around my fence which will be in close proximity to my poultry pen (still under construction). Pls is this advisable? the pen was not built into the wall and it also has a roof vent. do you think I will have ventilation problems?

go to large cold rooms and ask them. they might not admit it openly cos it is contraband. but if u ask, they will sell it to u. i have personally bought it before. fast foods and big restaurants actually prefer it because they are sure of steady supply.

but unless u live in shell or chevron estate where u are guaranteed power supply 24/7, do not attempt to go into freezing. freezing is actually the best way to go but naija economic environment is not encouraging. I wud have loved to do broilers with processing and freezing after every 8 weeks growth or attaining 2kg weight. But the power supply is scaring the sh.it outta me.

as suggested earlier you may consider deep litres or think of giving them Embaceryl or Neoceryl at least Thrice every week. This will however increase your cost of production but will definitely increase their production.

Good day all.
I have been feeding my Rottweiler puppies (now about 4 months old) on canned food, diamond dry food and indomie waste.
But I learnt from some dudes dat fish head cud be cooked with the indomie waste in place of canned food. I want to replace the canned food with this but my wife feels they cud choke on the bones in the fish head. I actually tried it this morning and they ate it very well.
Pls is this a good practice? Cud it possibly harm them?

Just like the poster after u pointed out, catfish sells higher. But if u breed ur tilapia well and at a lower cost than wat is obtainable from imported ones, then you will be the toast of fast-food outlets. ........My opinion though

I understands dat tilapia breeds thru the mouth and therefore they might breed until it gets out of control if care is not taken. So one needs to be careful and apply the sex change hormone therapy on them early enough.

I feel dat worst case scenario, I can dry them off and sell as dried fish........u know dis flat fish dat is sold in groups of 5 or so for 300 - 400 naira. I know a lot of pple dat do just dat.

as for me, provided i see any kids outside and around my car, before I disengage the handbrakes to drive off, i make sure i do a head count of the kids and ensure that they are all in a place where i can see them.

I am freaking scared of this kind of thing. If my kids are outside playing, I will never move from that spot until I can see them clearly.

Now to attempt to answer the question, I think you will be able to sell. However, I feel that the sales may not be as high as one could get in the southwest where every body eats catfish and a lot of market women sell only catfish.

But I still feel that there will still be sales to major fast food outlets, bush bars and hotels; especially if one can grow fishes of 2.5kg and above. So many hoteliers and bush bar operators travel all the way to bayelsa and rivers state to buy catfish of that size. i know of at least 2 pple who do that in owerri.

Moreover, if Buhari seriously enforces the ban on importation, then it will even make a lot of things better. Just go to Johnny-best cold room in eke-onuwa owerri and see the way pple queue up to buy cartons of imported chicken and imported catfish.....both are illegaly imported contraband items.

U can always dry the fish and sell it in cartons if it appears u are wasting feed on trying to make it grow out. At least dry fish can be sold anywhere in nigeria.

In as much as I sympathize with Nedu, I think the thought playing a smart one led to his predicament.
There's nothing wrong with travelling with your family but decide to bear the cost if your company did not make provision for that.
Also, do not lie on what is clear i.e. claiming intra-city transportation cost when he was actually picked up and dropped by the company in Kenya. I pity the wife and child as it is not an easy thing to run a family without job in this present nigeria. He should prepare for the labour market and must have learnt his lesson. we must learn to part with somethings even when your company is paying the bills....

however I never saw the grand parents and the ancestors so I am willing to make allowance for the possibility that there might have been some cross breeding along the line.

In my opinion, it's not a good idea to keep both in the same cage and feeding them together unsupervised could cause problems. You should have think of your lifestyle before getting 2 dogs.

I was already thinking of separating them but I wanted to wait until they are a bit older. But with this overfeeding challenge, I think I will tell d guy coming to do the floor tiling in the kennel to partition the space for me. The space is really small but I guess it is necessary right now to separate them.

Clean the face of the scalp with spirit or warm water, apply benzyl benzoate every morning and cooper healing Oil at night for 7days the scalp will disappear. After that bath the dogs with taktic it's a chemical for external parasite on dog, bath the all your dog's with it and lay a carpet on the floor of their kenel the whole thing will clear.

Dat is not fair. I do have time for them. I make out time to take them out every morning and clean d kennel. I personally prepare dia meal every morning (I don't feed them household leftovers), I also feed them at nite when I return from work. When ever I can squeeze in some time I exercise them briefly in the morning. What more do u expect of me? Shud I quit my job and be at home just to take care of them?

My 4 month old male Rottweiler is a bit obese. He really eats a lot compared to his female counterpart. I really need to exercise him but I am limited by time. Unfortunately I cannot really regulate his food because they are both in same cage and I don't have the time to feed them 3 times a day. So I just put Enof food to last till nite time and then I rush off to work.
Recently I noticed He has what looks like scab on the elbows of his front legs.
Pls I need to know what to do about it. I don't want him to contact infections thru those scabs.
