Politics › Re: Enugu: Hoodlums Hiding Under EndSARS Protests Kill Police Officers (Graphic) by obyrich(m): 6:51am On Oct 27, 2020
LeitaP:
Inasmuch as I will state the obvious should I av to say something, I do not see things from the viewpoint you stated.

The killings are absurd, inhuman and callous but I don't think it is related to religious affiliation. I suspect vendetta as a chief reason for this.
Don't mind the OP. This was a reprisal attack. A policeman from Abakpa police station killed one of the protesters in Abakpa. The policeman is coincidentally, from the same community. Notorious for harassing Keke people. That was why they went after the police.

While we condemn the death of these police officers, we should also condemn the death of the Keke man and others killed at Nkwo Nike.

Many people were killed by police in Enugu. Many of them innocent passersby hit by stray bullet.

We should use minimal force in policing our communities. Enough of these blood shed.

Where are the policemen. The one you have chased back into the barracks?
Was police chased to the barracks before soldiers were deployed to disperse Lekki protesters? Is this the first time soldiers were deployed to handle an issue absolutely within the jurisdiction of the police?

Why would a level headed person try to provoke armed uniform personnel?
Listen well. It is absolutely wrong to deploy soldiers to curb subdue protesters. It is absolutely wrong even for police to use assault rifles to disperse protesters.

There are anti-riot police equipped with shield and clubs to handle civil unrests.

In Nigeria, we use mallet to kill mosquito.

Kai this so fūcked up

Why do that? These guys have been traumatized enough already.. maybe he lost close friends whom.where mobbed to death this period and he is dealing with his grief

Now this might get him fired..

In our quest for justice let's becareful les we become the very tyrants we despise

All those guys in the video are just capping careless

One even announced the officer's full name!! Why?

Arseholes
I have no sympathy for him. He is mourning nobody. Many Nigerian law enforcement officers are addicted to alcohol, women and hard drugs.

Drug abuse is at the root of most accidental discharges and wanton killings by police and we should never make excuses for any officer caught in these reprehensible habits.

He is a Mopol officer. This implies that part of his working tools is an AK47 assault rifle. You can imagine the havoc he could cause with alcohol in the head and an AK47 in the hand.

We must be strict with policing the police and uncompromising in the agitation for a reformed police and Nigeria.

Chai!!
Your support for Buhari was borne out of a genuine love for your country and hunger for a change. On the contrary, his is borne out of hunger. He is like the people looting shops in the name of protests. The genuine protesters have vacated the streets, strategizing on way forward but the hungry thieves are looting everywhere.

You and am no be the same category.

baby124:
This is a protest for everything wrong in Nigeria. Endsars was just the spark. The politicians know this and this is why they tried so hard to destroy the protest even when peaceful. Their conscience is not clear and they are afraid of doing the right thing. It’s no more business as usual. People are angry and until we start to do the right thing, this will continue and it will eventually touch everybody. The poor have nothing to lose. They are already living dead.
Don't mind them. We know people who turn every election in Nigeria to war! Every peaceful protest to war!

Who arms thugs to disrupt every activity by the masses to set things right?

He should have asked if the people mobilising thugs with N500 to attack protesters collected the weapons from them.

The thugs and cultists used by politicians to harass peaceful protesters and infiltrate the campaign against evil government are the ones running amok looting and destroying everywhere.

The politicians who engaged them should rein them in.

This is beyond endsars agitation I think

I am not happy that both looters, miscreants, secessionist and politician hijack the protest

It was due to lack of coordination and leadership from the organizers

Let’s all condemn looting in whatever form

Especially private business and properties

This are people hard earned sweat
Who brought violence and radicalism into the protests? Who brought in thugs that stabbed peaceful protesters at Alausa? Who was seen ferrying thugs in a senator's Prado SUV in Abuja to attack protesters? Who deployed soldiers to Lekki toll to 'disperse' protesters with assault rifles?

Whoever did this should take the blame for what is going on now.

Dear police, you have absolutely no blame in this mess.

It's the PEACEFUL PROTESTERS that defied government orders, empowered looters and even went online to spread propaganda. They're the ones responsibile for all this mess.

From runtown to DJ switch, they should all be charged to court for disturbing public peace and inciting anarchy.

I just discovered this rare video of the true story behind the Lekki shooting. It's 100% propaganda.

Have you forgotten how difficult it was for Jonathan to be allowed to take decision when Yaradua was sick? Have you forgotten Nigerian government was hijacked by a desperate cabal bent on subverting the constitution to oust Jonathan? Have you forgotten it was Dora Akunyili who blew it up at the FEC? LordIsaac:
Protest... Palliative... The next is the politicians ' loots... Government need to heed the cry of the youth before it is to late for these rulers and their households!
This government has bitten more than it can chew. Whoever advised for deployment of soldiers at Lekki toll gate will forever regret that advise.

Get this clear. The government is fighting 2 types of youth at the moment.

1. The elite, educated youths both in Nigeria and diaspora who supported them in the hope they will bring change as well those who never trusted this government ab initio. These don't believe in violence but will not back down in their demand for a better Nigeria. These are above politics of tribalism and religion used keep the masses divided in Nigeria.

2. The second group are the political thugs, the thieves and violent youths whom the politicians have been using to forment troubles and subvert the will of the masses during elections. These are their ready army for causing commotion. They have coached them to be greedy and fearless. These are the people attacking their masters, the politicians. These are the people stealing and destroying assets everywhere. These were the people who went to brake jails to release their pals in prisons to help them fight.

Some of the thieves will be either killed by the security agents or sent to jail. But the agitation for a better Nigeria championed by the first set of youths will be sustained. It will not fall for any political gimmick because of the level of intellectualism that will be involved.

This is the wrongest time to be a bad politician in Nigeria.

The earlier we understand that we have a country without God fearing leadership, the better for us all.
