so because the minister of health is a doctor,
minister of state a doctor
Even minister of labour is a doctor
all the cmd in federal and general hospitals are doctors
wher 're the nurses, med scientists, pharmacists, microbiologists, chemists, these 're all professionals. they attended universities just like the doctors.
as it stands now. a house officer the lowest cadre of doctors earn 180k. I have seen the pay slip of a friend that works in irrua specialist teaching hospital.
I'm neither a doc or a pharmacist or a nurse but the disparity and cheating is too much mhen.
let's call a spade a spade. You cannot place a Microbiologist, Nurse or the rest on par with a Medical Doctor. Do you know what it takes to obtain an MBBS (and this is coming from an engineer)? If they what parity, let them first graduate with an MBBS, else hunger will kill them with their useless strike. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Mike Pompeo Threatens Iran With Strongest Sanctions In History by ocelot2006(m): 11:41am On May 24, 2018 |
JUHABACH: there is no "feasible" way to impose "the strongest sanctions in history" on Iran for the following reasons;
1) as powerful as the u.s. is, it is impossible to impose effective sanctions without the full co-operation of china. China has no incentive to go along with sanctions cause it supports the Nuclear deal and probably knows that if it caves to the u.s. unilaterally renegade of the deal, it would hurt their credibility in terms of their long term goal as an effective alternative to the u.s. 2) Russia also has no incentive to go along with the sanctions. the Russians really couldn't give a flying Bleep about Iran 's ballistic missile program and it's "support of terror". quite the contrary, they see Iran as an effective means of frustrating u.s. middle eastern goals (the u.s. inept strategy only makes matters worse)
3) the European Union will have no choice but to go along with the u.s. but in the long run, it's poor strategy to cause such monumental embarrassment to allies where it can be avoided (as is the case here). even the Europeans acknowledged that the deal had flaws but most republicans seem to have suffered a case of short term memory coz I can still remember the time before the deal when even a hint of Iran's nuclear program had the world on edge. the deal at least removed the biggest threat Iran posed. the fact that trump chose to renegade on the deal despite public pleas from his allies hurts u.s. credibility with same allies in the long run. it's quite possible (in the absolute worst case scenario) that we could see the rise of political movements in Europe seeking to severe ties with the u.s. . the fact that there is even a chance of that should be frightening.
4) perhaps the most frightening reason why the "strongest sanctions in history" can't be imposed on Iran is due to the fact that the strongest sanctions in history were ALREADY imposed on Iran. by the Obama administration. more specifically, Obama through hillary Clinton, actively lobbied all the economic powerhouses in the world (i.e. G7+) to also impose similar sanctions on Iran in a united front. Obama was able to do this by playing on the ONE FACTOR that truly terrified every nation on earth. the possibility of a nuclear iran. that was why the nuclear deal focused solely on nuclear weapons. it was the sole factor that truly united the world. now that that's been effectively shredded, no one is going to want to come back to the table to renegotiate a common problem which they already solved. The European Union is not going with the Americans on this one because the Iran Nuclear deal has been proven to be effective as confirmed by the IAEA and was ratified by the UN Security Council. The EU spokesperson has already confirmed that the United States is on its own as Europe fully intends to stick with the deal. The US basically just isolated itself. |

Dething: Doctors should not be the only ones heading the Units. Why will the doctors be the heads of all Federal Medical centres? You will see a small boy Doctor who left school barely 5 years ago will be controlling a senior matron Nurse who has been working for 30 year with Masters Degree in Nursing. Johesu is right on that! Being a doctor is by choice, many people did not want to be doctors from the outset of their lives, they wants to Medical scientist, pharmacist, Nurse, Radiologist, etc. Must everybody be doctor to head a unit?
Why are we acting like Doctors are super human? they simply chose to be! Others who chose other career have right to rule. Young 2nd Lieutenants fresh from the Academy lead grizzly veteran Sargents. That's because there's a heirachy/structure in place. If you don't like it, go get a JAMB form and get an MBBS degree. |

If you want to protest, stay in your own border and do so, don't start using weapon and expect them to look at you. Do you have solid proof that the Palestinians opened fire at the Isreali border? If so, please feel free to share it. Yes slingshots, stones, and moloktov cocktails were used, but I dont recall the Palestinians using firearms. Using non lethal means from CS gas to water canons, and even rubber bullets would have made sense on the part of the Isrealis. But military snipers with lethal rounds? Bros, most places, THAT is a crime. An example was the Ukrainian maidan when the pro Russian Govt used lethal force, including police snipers, against protesters. Same was the Libyan uprising (part of the Arab spring). All these were roundly condemned by the international community. So why is the Gaza strip incident any different? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Turkish President Calls On OIC Leaders To Unite And Confront Israel by ocelot2006(m): 8:05pm On May 19, 2018 |
Sometimes I feel that religion has blinded some of us Christians to the horrors going on in the Isreali-Palestinian crisis. What happened to our humanity? We all kicked against apartheid in South Africa, yet we're all cool with the discrimination against Palestinians? We talk about Islamic extremism, but we seem to forget that the actions of Isreal against the Palestinian populace plays a major role in fueling that hatred. As much as God Almighty made a covenant with the people of Isreal, I sincerely doubt God the Father will support some of the actions of the Isreal. An example is the imprisonment of of millions of Palestinians (men, women, children) in that hell hole called the Gaza strip with absolutely no hope for the future, and the seizing of Palestinian homes and farmlands in the West Bank with zero compensation. As for the Isrealis, one would have thought that the horrors they faced in the 2nd World War would've made them on of the most compassionate people on earth. But I guess I was wrong. The totally sad part of all this mess is that so called Christians and a world power that's meant to be an unbiased mediator keep cheering the Isrealis on. Frankly Judgement Day will be an amusing one to watch. Anyway, it's a pity. |

The resolution was for the UN to investigate the killings in Gaza, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. In my opinion, Isreal took it too far. It's bad enough that millions of Palestinian are locked up in a tiny strip of land; basically an open prison. But killing protesters using military snipers? Haba. |

shullamite: At least its clear where the problem in the health sector is coming from now. The doctors don't want other staff to enjoy a little increament of salary even after government has increased their slararies more than Three times in in four years. This is just a case of wickedness and man's inhumanity to man. The doctors are not the employer of labour but they are telling government what to do. It's a case of eating alone and wanting other people to die of hunger even though there is excess food to serve everybody. Let the world see how wicked the doctors are in Nigeria.
Let me tell you the truth early this year the government of Canada increased doctors salary but the doctors refused the increament and told the government to use the money to pay other health workers and improve the facilities in the hospitals for patients to enjoy. But in Nigeria the case is opposite. You want to place a Nurse/Porter on the same salary scale as a Doctor? Have you ever heard a Constable/Private (Rank and File) earn the same salary as a Superintendent/Lieutenant (officer corps) Or craftsmen/technicians earn more than degree holding engineers? JOHESU's demand is simply absurd, and borne out of out greed and jealousy. It takes years and huge capital to become a Doctor, even far more than most professionals. And they are given far more responsibilities. Yet some folks from Nursing school want to earn same pay just because they learnt how to use injection. Nonsense. |

troublemakea: Bro in the whole middle east only Israel is safe to be nuclear armed. most of those middle east countries are supporters of terrorism. so america knows what they doing
can I ask if buhari decide to be nuclear armed. I guess you would beg US to sanction him. same with Iran. they deserve it Pakistan is a Muslim country and was a supporter of the Taliban during the Afghan war against the USSR. Hell Osama Bin Laden was killed in same country, yet same nation is heavily armed with nuclear weapons and hasn't used it on anyone. Isreal on the other hand almost used theirs during the Yom Kippur war when the nation almost faced annihilation. Thankfully they didnt. What I'm trying to state here is that it's no surprise some nations in the middle east are pushing to arm themselves with nukes, as these weapons serve as deterrent and a bargaining chip, same way North Korea is using theirs. As for these Muslim nations being dangerous, sure I won't be so keen on placing nukes in the hands of Saudi Arabia cos of the issue of wahabism or some GCC nations cos of their covert support for ISIS. But if Isreal can have nukes, I see no reason why Iran can't as it will ensure the balance of power in the region. Better still, everyone should dismantle their nuclear programs and make the region even safer. |
