bettercreature:
lol I am enjoying it even though I am APC supporter but PMB must pay dearly for not listening to anybody after getting into power.
People told him to force out Saraki and Dogora but he didn't care to the extent that his wife called him out in public and now its late. Its very obvious Saraki is way smarter than him
Are you sure Buhari was referring to Saraki and Dogara, and not the Daura Cabal in Aso Rock that run the country?

As long as there is no viable option to Buhari,APC will still win come 2019.
No viable option to Buhari?? Are you high? Hell I know some kids that will do a far better job in governance compared to that incompetent and disastrous calamity called Buhari. This is the beginning of the end of that incompetent vegetable.

Isn’t SARS meant to be like the SWAT of Nigeria? Why are they seen everywhere like ordinary corporals in NPF?
Those extra magazines though, how do they remove them to reload during gun battles?
No, SARS is meant to look like VICE SQUADS in the USA. But I have to admit that its personnel look like PURE TOUTS. Just look at them. No tactical vests, assault rifle magazine tied up in such a large bunch it becomes a problem using the same rifle in a prone position. Total lack of common sense.

They are reliable but in Nigeria the parts are very expensive for the genuine ones and it's quite difficult to find genuine Toyota parts. Also, they are a dream to thieves and criminals. It's also quite familiar with a lot of mechanics
It's not difficult finding genuine Toyota parts. The problem's that they are quite expensive.

Yeah, NOI "ruined" our economy by ensuring the forgiveness of our debt to the Paris club, and making the Nigerian economy one of the fastest growing in the world, thus placing us among MINT nations. What "rrrrruuuuubish".

But thank God for Kemi Adeosun.....a product of East London Polytechnic with her FAKE NYSC letter, and same Minister that plunged Nigeria into recession. Oh what a " blessing"...

Abeg stop right there. I just returned from a trip to Asaba a few days ago, and I can tell you that you claim on the 2nd Niger Bridge is HOGWASH. The SAME pylons driven by Julius Berger under GEJ's watch are the very same pylons at the project site. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING has been added by this administration.

BTW the Akanu Ibiam airport was rehabilitated and upgraded with its status moved from domestic to international under the GEJ administration, NOT PMB. Again Buhari did NOT do JACKSHYTE.

Finally, what the fvck is N-POWER, when the YOUWIN programme was far effective as it actually empowered budding entrepreneurs, thus creating more jobs.

So please enough of the lies.

Well, the APC won over the SW (although I admit that the PDP pulled a strong show there). But you have to admit that your region's support for the APC played a role the Buhari's rise to power and the consequent issues that plagued the nation as a whole from a wrecked economy, spike in insecurity, increased corruption, etc, all thanks the incompetency of the Buhari administration. That's what I'm referring to.
Politics › Re: Ochereome Nnanna: "Yorubas Are Sophisticated Morons"- Vanguard Editorial Chairma by ocelot2006(m): 12:12am On Jun 10, 2018
babaolofin:
Brother, thanks for your observations. Firstly, I am very familiar with Akwa - Ibom people. The problem is that Akwa Ibom, CRS & the Ijaws of Rivers State have not yet realized the selfishness & greed of this people near them. The subsidy removal mass action in Lagos was not a Yoruba led action as the ibos made you to believe. From time immemorial, strike action is always strong in Lagos. There were various strikes during Obj & a lot during the military in Lagos. Fuel subsidy removal strike was business & politically motivated. Remember, labour Union was involved.

The mass action that led to the confirmation of GEJ was led by the Yorubas. The Yorubas supported GEJ to become the President. GEJ bite the finger of somebody that fed him when he surrounded himself with people that came for vengeance against Nigeria. To be sincere, GEJ did not know. They removed Yorubas from strategic positions & filled their kinsmen in core positions remaining only CBN governor (Hausa - Fulani) because he must complete his tenure.

The Oba of Lagos was right. I spent 6 yrs in the East, you can not try that in the East, not even in the University campus. You cannot impose your population on the people, the tradition & the traditional institutions of the owners of the land. Despite, everything, PDP still has substantial votes in Lagos. Check the votes in the East during June 12 apart from Anambra because of Ezeife that SDP has substantial votes. If you plan a coup with IBO man, he will leak the coup to his kinsmen for them to escape while contributing to elimination of others marked for execution.

My brother, IBO people would rather vote for an IBO dog than voting for annang or Ibibio professor. They believe everybody is a fool and that they are the only smart & clever human beings. They said they are Jews.
My brother, you'll have to pardon me if I don't fully tow your line of thought, particularly about the Igbos. But first of all, let me say that you've made a number of fair points, particularly on the considerable support the main opposition received from the SW despite the former's failure to clinch the presidency. I equally agree on the part about the imposition of a tribe's culture/leadership on the people of it's host community. There's nothing wrong in a group electing its own leaders though. That said, I don't think the incident involving the Oba of Lagos involved the Igbos forcefully imposing an Igwe on anyone. Rather the Oba had threatened that everyone, including the Igbos, must vote for Ambode else they'll be forced into the Lagoon. His actions were simply wrong.

BTW I still don't understand how GEJ marginalized the Yoruba's, especially when the Yorubas held sensitive posts from security (CDS, DG-NIA, CAS) to the FEC (Agriculture, Trade and Investment) and more

if Yorubas are not suffering from their region actions why are the everyone else suffering from it ? You are wrong , when Gej was in power yoruba suffer a lot but we didn’t spread hate speech , all we did was to wait for the right time to vote our choice ... that is how politics is played , not by hatred and bitterness ... igbos love Fayose but they failed to learn From Fayose on how he respect Tinubu no matter what, you can see that ? That is how we play politics in the South- west , it’s not a game of bitterness ... igbos are trying to also cause confusion by labelling yoruba Muslim and yoruba Christian... Igbos let me warn you , that kind of game can’t work in south-west ...
Oh I beg to differ on the highlighted statement. I'm not an Igbo man (I'm annang, SS), but you have to admit that the pure venom and hatred received by Goodluck Ebele Jonathan from your geopolitical region, especially after his administration's attempt to withdraw oil subsidies, was unprecedented. Hell, it's the sane vile venom and hatred that got Buhari and APC into power and totally polarized the nation along ethnic lines. Hell, even the President lumped the regions that opposed him as the 5%ers in his first official US trip, while some prominent people from the SW (eg the Oba of Lagos) made fun of the Igbos and even went as far as issuing threats. Even on this online platform, the tribal war between the Igbos and Yoruba's have been brutal.

One more thing, please do tell how the Yorubas suffered under GEJ cos I find it quite difficult to believe that claim of yours, ESPECIALLY when your tribe was fairly represented in his administration.

Probably because EVERYONE, irrespective of tribe or geopolitical regions or political affiliation, get to suffer the consequences of your region's action(s)....just saying.

Politics › Re: Udom Emmanuel Akwa Ibom In Pictures (NO STORIES) by ocelot2006(m): 12:46pm On Jun 07, 2018
Governor Udom has done well, but there's so much more to be done, particularly with youth empowerment and job creation. The Governor needs to do much more in attracting the necessary investments into the state. This will create more jobs and also increase the state's IGR. But we as Akwa Ibomites need to sit up. That's why I'm glad about the Dakkada philosophy. For long we've relied on civil service jobs and political appointment. Frankly it's painful when I see able bodied men and women waste their time as they run from one political rally to another kissing the a$$es of political big wigs in the state in exchange for crumbs. But I'm glad we're slowly waking up as more youths now embrace Agriculture and entrepreneurship. Slowly but surely we'll get there as a state. There's still no place as beautiful, serene and sweet as Akwa Ibom smiley smiley

Nice post @OP.
But please, what is the Govt doing to tackle insecurity in the State ?
I hear the armed robbery and kidnapping there now is unprecedented onto a whole new level
I'm afraid you're not totally correct. I think the major issue is the cultism terror at the Etim Ekpo/Ukanafun axis. Uyo itself along with other LGAs are relatively safe. There are a few burglaries in isolated areas of the capital, and also cult wars on a street or two.
