theoldpretender: GEJ was voted out because
1.The recession...due to the drop in oil prices. Yeah, drop in oil prices began under GEJ's watch as the Americans pumped in more oil into the global market. But the Nigerian economy began to stagnate and the recession, along with double digit inflation began under Buhari's watch no thanks to his inability to formulate an economic blueprint to guide the nation's economy, or set up a team to implement his non existing policies.
2.Corruption...like the missing $20bn, the Stella Oduah case, etc. The missing N20billion turned out to be false as the independent auditors stated that no such amount was missing. BTW You probably need to compare the 2014 Transparency International Corruption Perception index under GEJ's watch with the 2017 Transparency International Corruption Perception Index under Buhari. In the former, Nigeria appreciated up the index to its highest/best position till date. In the later Nigeria slid down same index to the bottom. Summary: "kworrupt" GEJ performed far better than St. Buhari of Daura in the anti-corruption fight. But hey, please tell us another lie
3.Several state branches of the PDP were in crisis...plus the nPDP crisis...which split the party. True. 'won't argue with that
4. Security...the Boko Haram crisis...and the Fulani Herdsmen crisis...which affected the middle belt. [/b] again partly true. Still everyone forgot that the turn around in the war against Book Haram and he recapture of fallen territories began under GEJ's watch. Remember the #NeverAgain slogan by the military?[/b]
5.PDP governors in the vital Middle Belt not paying civil service salaries (Benue under Suswam was owing salaries of 9 months by the 2015 election) Again true. Susmam was a f#$l
6.Dictatorship...the same blockage of the Senate under Buhari happened under PDP...IN 2014. (Tambuwal was at the center of that,...now he is back to PDP....).
7.Some of the GEJ supporters ran a very bigoted campaign....especially against the North and against Muslims...a large voting bloc. ABSOLUTELY FALSE!! Haba! Rather it was the other way round. What the hell wasn't GEJ called? The amount of vile and venom heaped on him and his family, along with false propaganda propagated by the then opposition was enough to make anyone go crazy in tears. Under this administration the Nation is so polarized along political, tribal, and ethnic lines its simply crazy. Its even on Nairaland with the Igbos and Yoruba's.
8.Buhari finally learned his lesson....and dropped his bigotry...and started working with other oppositon leaders in other tribes. Tell that to the Igbo's and other ethnic groups in the SS. Just look at appointments alone; it's skewed in favour of a single ethnic group. Even the Yoruba's are not so lucky with the Igbo's being the worst hit you'll think Buhari has some personal beef with that tribe. Oh, don't forget his 5%-97% statement in the United States, thus polarizing the nation even further instead of reaching out to unite the nation after the 2015 election. And don't forget the sheer display of nepotism and tribalism by his administration. One last thing, feel free to repeat your statement to those who've lost loved ones in massacres by Fulani herdsmen in the North Central region (Benue and Plateau states particular)
And before you call me an APC supporter...I don't care for the APC either. They alienated me once they said that they shouldkeep fuel at N40 per liter....with what I knew of subsidies...I knew that won't be possible.
I also think Nigerians too don't want real good governance...we just want cake I beg to differ. Nigerians want to enjoy the dividends of democracy, from a thriving economy, more disposable income, better civil infrastructure, great healthcare service, JOBS, constant power supply, freedom, respect for rights, great education, reduced poverty, etc. The PDP definitely had its flaws, but sure as hell was FAR BETTER than this APC led administration in delivering some of these . And anyone that gives cake is popular. Which is why we cannot ask Buhari why he isnt doing more to get us off oil...or why we are going back to a party that squandered resources over 16 years. |

Butterflyleo: Buhari was not a part of this.
I have been reaching out to my sources ever since this news broke and this is the gist.
Saraki has planted moles in many places including the DSS.
This is how they could get something on Kemi Adeosun and also how they could be aware of some of the happenings in the Presidency and also how he could write a report against magun and rather than first presenting it to the President, went straight to saraki with the report first.
That mole is the DSS boss.
He acted based on instructions from Saraki and not the Presidency.
What we all saw today was a script orchestrated and played by actors known as senators.
The woman who challenged the DSS man was supposed to do so with another woman from Ekiti to make it all look real.
The DSS officers were all bribed and well paid for this make believe invasion and the aim was to further postpone the reconvening of Nass under frivolous reasons.
Here is a picture of one of the DSS operatives and your guess is as good as mine regarding what is in his hand. TALES BY MOONLIGHT!! Bros, if this were true, then the competence of the Commander-in-Chief should be questioned as it clearly indicates that he has ZERO CONTROL of both the intelligence services and the police. But we all know your post is horse crap. |

sureheaven: I’m sure the script was poorly written by Saraki and other pdp members to shake the country in a negative way.
It won’t work. Yeah, because the opposition party "controls" the Intelligence Services, abi? Won't that mean that the C-in-C isn't competent enough to control his security services? Abeg try use your brain small. Small sense will do. |

cooltola: Remember how rampant Boko Haram activities was during PDP days. PDP had 16 years to get economy right but did not fail to disappoint. The economy was tanking before Buhari took over and do not forget how billions of dollars were missing from central bank Nigeria during GEJ time. Corruption was rampant then. PDP a disappointing party then and for tomorrow. Saraki only switch party because he is looking for his best interest and I do not blame him. APC is PDP , different names ,same politicans, Do not vote neither. Vote for Sowore 2019 or someone else Yeah, keep telling yourself that. "Rampant corruption" yet Transparency International 2014 and 2017 reports clearly indicate that "corrupt" GEJ gave the best anti-corruption performance compared to "saint" Buhari of Daura who's performance turned out to be a scam with Nigeria sliding several points down the index. "The economy was tanking" yet the PDP gave the nation one of the FASTEST growing economy in the world, a growing middle class with higher purchasing, better infrastructure. Compare that with St. Buhari and the APC under whom we had a disastrous recession, a shattered economy, a decimated economy, over 7 million jobs lost, double digit inflation, businesses closed Dow, excess taxation of surviving biz, etc. Oh don't forget the rampant massacres of communities in North Central States by herdsmen and the givts silence. But hey, keep lying... |

Ade3000yrs: Its obvious Femi Fani Kayode has lost touch with the realities in Nigeria as he now talks out of turn as if he were plagued with verbal dirrhoea And what are those "realities"? Is it that fact that our economy is in tatters with millions of jobs lost, a middle class decimated, and businesses packed up with surviving ones taxed to hell? Is it the fact that the "war on kwarraption" has been proven to be a total scam withe EFC C used as a political tool to hunt the opposition? Or the fact that Nigeria has slid down corruption index list, making it MORE CORRUPT? Is it the fact that nothing tangible has been added to our power sector except multiple grid collapses and blackouts Is it the fact that the North Central region is ravaged with major ethnic massacres with this administration seen to side with herdsmen with no arrests made? Is it the fact that this administration has continued to blatantly promote tribalism and outright nepotism, thus polarizing this nation across tribal and religious lines? Once again I say FFK is right for calling out Rawlings for the garbage spewed by the latter. |

I'm with FFK on this one. Jerry Rawlings is truly out of touch with the realities here in Nigeria. We're talking about a President and his administration who've proven without any doubt to be totally incompetent and have failed in every indices from the so called "war" on corruption (Transparency International), the economy, security, infrastructural development, etc. Rawlings is pretty much spewing total hogwash. |

How would you know that Saraki kept N1.4b to himself from Paris Club refunds and is richer than Kwara state? How would you know that $2.1b was shared by ATM Dasuki among ranks and files? How would you know that Wale Oke hide N4b raw cash at Ikoyi's apartment? How would you know that someone abandoned N400m at Kaduna's Airport without looking back for the fear of EFCC? How would you know that over N1trillion was shared every year by the subsidy cabals yet you still had fuel scarcity? How would you know that Tompolo was paid over N43b to protect our water ways by Jonathan? How would you know that Deziani embezzled billion of dollars not to talk of the 56 choice property recently forfeited to the Federal Government through the court? How would you know that Jamb who had over the years remitted N3million now remitted N8billion to the Federation account within one year? How would you know that Fayose collected N4.7billion from Jonathan through Obanikoro to fund his Ekiti state election? How would you know that Nigeria Customs can generate over N300b within first quarter of 2017 compared to N3b remitted over the years? How would you know that Atiku and company (Intel) has been stealing from Nigeria govt. through the NPA for past 17years? How would you know that some judges and lawyers are encouraging corruption through perpetual injunctions and what have you? How would you know that Stella Oduah used her maids to launder N2.4b? How would you know that Patience Jonathan also used her maids to launder over N13b even own Hotel worth N11b in Bayelsa? How would you know that the unscrupulous ones hide billions of dollars on farms, grave hards, suck away pits, tanks etc.? How would you know that Deziani bribed INEC officials with N23b in the last 2015 elections to achieve victory for Jonathan and his cronies. How would you know that Femi Aluko (Deziani's boy) bought a Yatch (Boat) worth N32b. Hmmm, how would you know, how would you know...? if not for the Best President of our time. The kind suffering me and my car went through this past month in Asaba makes me yearn to go back to Lagos with all its hassles. When I saw almost all major roads blocked and was told there will be an international event like the athletic championship, I thought it was a joke. Complaints coming are reminiscent of what you get in Nigeria. We are never a thorough and serious minded people. It is no wonder we have a lot of people making their living as comedians. Ours is a land of comedy. My brother you've struck the nail directly on its head. I'm equally baffled why Asaba was selected as the venue for this competition instead of cities like Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Uyo, Calabar, or Enugu. Right now Asaba's road network is at its worst, and the rains has caused a lot of flooding in the city, hence the present construction of drainage systems by the state govt. Frankly the person behind the selection did the nation a great disservice and must have been high on Tramadol. This is a big mess. |

franchasng: go an sit down one place. True Igbo people don't need president to excel!
Igbo people survived the worst gangup and inhumanity of man to fellow man from 1966 - 1969. As if that was not enough, they survived the post-civil war maltreatment and total marginalisation and undermining of Igbo tribe from 1970 - 1999. So what else do you think will happen now that will shake the Igbo people that are far more connected, spread, prosperous, populated and advanced than the Igbo people of 1966 - 1969 Of course nothing again!
Igbo people have tasted death, smelled hell, pass through fire and have proven to the whole world that they are indominatable lion of black race, so they don't need president under this useless Nigerian government structure to survive or excel.
What has producing the president from 1966 - 1999 done to the north and even the southwest
If not for Lagos being the capital city cited by White colonial masters, tell me what other great achievement has the southwest achieved aside the Lagos economy center done by white
If Calabar had remained the capital city for long, south south would have been the economy hub of Nigeria and west Africa and not Lagos.
So once again go and sit down, Igbo people don't need Nigeria's president to excel okay
Mind you, soon crude oil will have very useless value, by then we will know who is who. By then I will see where u thieves and rogues clamoring for president will see money to loot as usual.
Any Igbo man clamoring to become president under current Nigeria structure and arrangement is a mad man and he will be disgraced by Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba when he becomes that president just as they did to GEJ.
What did GEJ do to you guys that u hated him so much and brought his government down and reaping the reward from God today
He increased fuel pump price u guys started protest and shutdown Nigeria calling him names. He removed fuel subsidy, u guys called him names.
But your Messiah has done far worse; he increased fule price none of u protested or cried wolf. He is now paying x4 of the amount GEJ paid as subsidy and none of u sees anything bad in it.
Under GEJ INEC used less than 50billion to organize a wonderful nationwide election but under your Messaihy, INEC wants to use 250billion to do election and no Yoruba activists is protesting, hypocrists!!!
If u guys don't retrace your bad steps, God and nature will shock u!
