If they were cheating its unlikely that they would sit in the open an do it now isnt it? |
I feel this ad is condescending and demeaning... I get the 'fast is an attitude' bit but i'm sure there could have been a better analogy for that than saying a 29 yr old millionaire made it 4 years late. Thats like rubbing it in the face of every one 24 and above who is no where near making a million...in any currency. Especially in an environment like ours, where you can find graduates earning as low as 20k per month. The part that annoys me most about the ad isnt even this, its the 42Mbps claim. Are they mad? 42Mbps? The fastest average in the world is in South Korea at around 17Mbps and in the UK its around 8Mbps i think. |
econome: AT AGE 29 WHEN MAN DONE BORN FINISH.Name one more billionaire under 30... |
Yes. You are right!!! Wande should most definitely leave Mo Hits, arguably Nigeria's most recognizable, most successful record company. He should forget the exposure he is getting by hobnobbing with not just the likes of the rumoured Illuminati, Jay Z and Kanye West, but also other well known world superstars. He should forget about performing in front of sold-out venues in New York and London, what does he need that for when he can be like Duncan Mighty and Timaya and release tracks when he wants "without waiting for orders from cultists". He is too talented to stick with the label that brought him from obscurity to near world wide fame. He is definitely too talented to stick with arguably Nigeria's (and Africa?) best producer, who is now credited on the said Illumati member's album along side industry greats like Pharell Williams, Swizz Beats and Q Tip. I mean its been a whooooooooooooole three years since he released his debut album!!! Three whole years!! That is an eternity. His career is definitely starved and dead by now. He should have been releasing albums every 6 months like, err. Wait which reknowned star releases albums every 6 months? or year? Or two years? Ok bye |
Redman44:Very valid points RedMan!!! Some of you guys are being very silly by comparing the SA issue to this. The UK has always deported illegal immigrants back to their country of origin, it didn't start today, it wont stop tomorrow. What the UK has not done and will never do is deport a plane load of people with genuine VISAs obtained from their high commission because there are doubts on the authenticity of a medical cert. While i do feel bad for those 120 people who have had their lives suddenly and dramatically altered, this was a risk they always knew they faced. You have to ask yourself what quality of life they were living in the UK. Being illegal they probably did menial jobs earning less than minimum wage a day. Extremely hard to live on that here. Or if the alternative is they would be involved in some sort of criminal activity, or even living on welfare, and this is what the UK government abhors more. Finally, i dont think anyone can blame the government in this case. Yes Nigeria is hard and all, but what about the hundred million + other people that are there struggling to make a living. How about those who never had the option to run away and be illegal in a system that doesnt want you there in the first place? |
SCAM on SCAM on SCAM. Just wanted to point out something unrelated tho. Sky-walker:You guys are both wrong. Any IP address that starts with 10. or 172.16-172.32, or 192.168.x.x is a private address, So in this case the source address is probably a mail server at your ISP or something. Im not sure exactly how mail routing works, but both mails having 10.x.x.x as thier source just means it came from within your network. |
oh look, its a Flying Pig |
Its funny how I had this exact arguement with some The sad truth is that now having a 1st class degree doesnt even guarantee you a job anymore. Not because it is now commonplace, but just becaause thats how things are now. First class or not you still have to write annoying psyhcometric tests and 7 rounds of interviews or something crazy, for jobs that are not many for the taking in the 1st place. |
Hey guys! Check this out, Could this be what happened or was to happen to GTB's website? Someone said he got through during the time of this said attack, I hope he's checked his details properly, http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-16812064 This attack is against the kind of mechanism GTB uses, the autogenerated token |
denzel2009:If you use the service normally and due to GTB's vulnerabilty the connection is compromised then using this same concept of Non-Repudiation its GT thats at fault |

According to the security source, “he can be said to have buckled under intense interrogation”. Dem for done shii im mama pieces, I hope its that fucker that was threatening Jonathan and Christians on youtube. Idiot, releasing stuff on the internet is almost the surest way of giving the authorities a means to track you |
I hope and pray we elect a man like Tunde Fashola in 2015 |
cecegorz:People are using dumps in Nigeria to get 100 percent, this route wont get you very far though,,,youll get the certification quite all right but not the knowlege that comes with it. if he is studious im sure he can make it in India. I too would like to go there for training at some point. Il do that once im through with my Masters in Networks and Distributed Systems |
To suggest that everyone that lives in Lekki is rich is ignorant, have you never been there? The whole area is as large and as diverse as any other place in Lagos, the rich, the poor and those floating in the middle, not everone that lives there owns a house there, heck therr are slums there too, i honestly think the best solution is that all residents of lekki be allowed to pay severly discounted rates, |
All i'll say is as a protester in Nigeria, you face not only a brutal police/army force that doesnt care about the well being of the citizenty, but also thugs who will use the opportunity to do as they please. You cant blame Fashola or ACN for either of these. Kudos to the Protesters though, its good to voice out your opinions instead of sitting there grumbling |
Instead of this negro dude to say he doesnt know, hes there using question to answer question and speaking English, turns out it was a rig after all |
If Fashola says they are good enough they are good enought, I believe in him die, |
Truth of the matter is, this increase in power generation/supply occurs almost every year and then we all get very excited that goverment is working and then it detiorates. I think its too early to pat ourselves or anyone on the back just yet. When there is a sustained noticeable change over a considerable amount of time, say 6 months or 1 year, then we can exault Jonthan and Nnaji to the highest heavens. Meanwhile most of us here on NL are probably adults, the way you resort to hurling insults at each other in almost every single thread is just disappointing. |
@nikki07 and princedm Whats the CEPMIP program? Seems like Dundee is quite popular with Nigerians now,, i met quite a few peeps there, St Andrews on the other hand has a very tiny black population, i wonder why? You guys please add me on facebook Oche O Ejembi |
tonimartins231:I think they call the bank in every case, and you will be fine IF the money in your account still meets the amount required for Fees and Maintenance. If it doesnt it would be wise maybe to borrow some money and jus keep it there till you get your visa? |
nikki 007:Hey nicki 007, Im in St Andrews not too far from Dundee, infact i was there over the weekend for a freshers orientation for University of Dundee folks, |

Hey Guys, this is quite random but I just found this out, and thought it would be good to share. Im sure its common knowledge that the UK will be stopping their PSW Visa from April next year. However, there's still a (very) slim ray of hope and the possibility of getting some work experience there. Before your student visa expires you will be able to apply for a job and if you are able to get an offer THEN you will be able to apply for a Tier 2 Skilled Workers VISA. Now Im sure most of you have heard this but what Ive just discovered is that as someone trying to switch from Tier 4 to Tier 2 you will be EXEMPT from the the Resident Labour Market Test which states that the employer (sponsor) has to show that no other UK or EEA nationals can do the job. This means that if you do apply and succeed in getting a job offer from a company (which has to be on the very long list of Tier 2 sponsors) then you are quite likely to obtain a Tier 2 Visa(well if you meet other criteria) Furthermore if your occupation/field is on the list of those considered to be in shortage in the UK then you will very easily meet the required number of points! That being said there is a slight glimmer of hope for anyone seeking to remain in the UK for work after studies. Check out these urls and see what applies to you http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/working/tier2/general/eligibility/# http://www.tier12345.co.uk/tier-2-two-uk-work-permit.php http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/news/summary-student-policy.pdf http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/workingintheuk/shortageoccupationlist.pdf make i go read my book! |
