pocohantas: RIP to them.
The silence of kids is never a good sign.
As a parent, when you are not hearing their voices, know they are up to dangerous evil or in harm’s way. At that point you should check on them. It is either they are putting your phone inside the toilet or they are fiddling with a socket.
8 kids, not 1, 2 or 3. 8 kids were missing for hours and not one of their parents noticed in record time. I wonder what they were doing. Probably happy that the evil kids have gone out to play so they can rest small.
The parents should be sued for negligence. You might be correct partly, suspecting negligence on the parts of the parents. But sometimes, if you were brought up by struggling parents you will understand how busy, out and about both parents are, trying to make money for the family. Children are on their own during those times parents are out there hustling.... But then, I partly agree with you..on negligence... If giving birth to children will make one not to be available for the kids, to guide and protect them, then one should think twice before birthing. Cos they require attention all the time. |
Business › Re: Business Might Not Be For Everyone. My Bitter Experiences by OChimex: 12:46pm On Nov 29, 2021 |
Onahi95: ** Fifth Experience**
By now I was legit scared of business that I had to abandon it and seek for admission into the university. If at that I didn't stop trying
I was home for a break in school so I looked for something to do to earn money for the main time. A friend of my mom was selling bar soaps then and according to my mom she was swimming in money though she didn't look it o. I met her and she told me how she was making millions by taking the soaps to other States to sell, she advised I went to pH since they had high purchasing power. I used to hustle street trading in pH so I was familiar with the environs which was an advantage or so I thought. I did my calculations and was in high spirits as I was going to hammer this time. I borrowed 100k from my dad, bought about cartoons of bar soap and set off to pH on a faithful Wednesday because I targeted oil mill Thursday market . I first dropped at obigbo junction and set my cartons of soap by a corner that the owner was absent and started screaming on top of my voice soliciting for customers...buy your original soap here, only 100 100 naira, e don dey finish oooo, eleme dey look bayelsa dey buy oo, after today no more ooo....I kept shouting.... I got some occasional glances by passerby's as they proceeded to their destinations, one hour turned to two hours yet no one has asked me whether na sample I sample abi na sell I dey sell. I got exhausted from my fruitless shouting and sat down, I realized it was getting dark so I called the number of the person I would pass the night in her place at mile 1....ghen ghen number no dey no reachable .... I shaa packaged my cartoons of soap and set off to mile 1, after all I came for oil mill so I'm sure I would sell all the next day. Getting to mile 1 around past 8, every where was dark and deserted. I was scared so I had to proceed to mile 3 that was livelier. I packed my goods in one park and started looking for a place to pass the night, I went to a police station but they were questioning me like a criminal even after narrating my ordeal to them. I left and went the a church and the security turned me back that they only allow people to sleep in the church during vigils. I ended up sleeping in an uncompleted building in the state university. The following morning I set off to oil mill market, I remember when I dropped a barrow pusher came to carry the goods to a place I would keep them but since I was running low on cash I asked him to help me place it on my head....haa oga this thing heavy o e go break your neck o, just give me 3h make I carry am for you.....he exclaimed, don't worry I'm fine I replied. Five minutes later I was sweating like a Christmas goat with my neck now at 180 degrees, it was remaining just two poles to my destination when I gave up and dropped the bag. I called another barrow pusher and he quoted 250 naira.....chai see penny wise pound foolish, I barely had any strength left to haggle price so I agreed. I found a corner outside the market and set my cartons of soap, I took one carton and went inside the market screaming on top of my voice as usual, three hours later and I had just sold only 5 bars of soap to make matters worst it started raining and my cartons of soap was in the open. I ran like a mentally deranged man to where I kept my wares trying to save it from the rain, while I tried to carry the cartons to a shed some gave way throwing some of the soaps on the road with tricycles running over them. A barrow pusher came to my rescue and helped me save the rest. After the rain subsided I went back into the market and started selling the soap at a 50% loss yet I was unable to finish one carton, while I was struggling to sell my kaya those agberos came with their wahalla and collected #300 from me, I went to a different section of the market to try my luck and 4 different agberos surrounded me with different tickets each not less than #200 . Oga abeg I never sell anything I tried to explain to them, come on give me my money joor one of them roared. By now I was close to tears as they made away with my goods, heiya its unfair o, you people should pity this poor boy naa, see he's even crying, some market women pleaded on my behalf. They finally collected #500 from me. I managed to sell two cartons just enough to get my transport back home and set off to the park. I was looking very dirty and unkept, at the park I bumped into a girl I was wooing when I was in ph, she kept staring at me probably trying to deduce if I was actually the person she was seeing. I kept a straight face and went to sit at the back of the bus away from other passengers glare. At home I took the remaining goods to the woman I bought it from and sold it to her at over 60% loss and gave my dad the balance, though he complained but I carest not.
Even though I'm beginning to feel that business is not for me. I still want to try more. I'm still broke and I've got more ideas though no capital but something keeps telling me I will get a breakthrough I business one day. I will still come back to testify here.
Feel free to share your own experiences doing business both the positive and negative ones. Mods please push to front page so we can get wider views and contributions. SlyDev: If Nigeria want to make their money stronger, they need to stop importing and start manufacturing to export
But the last time Buhari closed border to boost local production, some bigots said he is targeting a tribe. The best way to boost local production is to first provide security and adequate infrastructures, electricity for instance. Individuals are ever ready to invest in building factories, but these discourage them. Once investors invest, local production are the same quality and more affordable than imported goods, automatically people will stop importing. So there is no need to close the border. In fact the border closed affected mostly goods leaving Nigeria to other African countries. |

Family › Re: Serious Domestic Violence Taking Place In My Street, Help Please by OChimex: 2:57pm On Nov 19, 2021 |
massinola: I will be as brief as possible. I recently opened a barbing salon shop. Within the area I opened this shop, there's this couple living there. The man does nothing for a living. He's a drunkard. The woman on the other hand sells black market fuel and oil to make ends meet.
They gave birth to 6 children (yes, you heard right). Since I entered that street, I noticed a serious domestic violence going on in that family. The man after drinking, uses his wife and children as punching bags. This is not occasionally. On a daily. I'm seriously disturbed. A little arguement and the man goes straight to the woman's fuel and oil and pours everything away.
Even when he's the one provoking the woman, he goes to the woman's properties and starts damaging everything.
The worst is that no body in the street says anything. They all say they are used to them. I'm seriously disturbed because the man always threatens to pour fuel on the woman and set her ablaze always.
On many occasions, he carries huge sticks to kill the woman like a snake. People around always say he can't do it. On my side, I'm really disturbed, because I have seen where domestic violence caused a disaster. I fear that one day, the man might carry out his threats.
Today a serious fight broke out between the man and the wife. The man was beating the last born of the house that's just a year plus like a mad man. The wife couldn't bear it anymore and faced the man. He was beating all of them like animals. Looking for cutlass and 2by2 to use on them. People were passing and didn't even care. I couldn't bear it anymore. He was trying to smash the woman's phone on the main road. One small girl went to rescue the woman and the phone. The way this man flung the lady eeh, that was when I stepped in, collected the phone and told the man that if he tried touching the woman and the children again, I would bury him alive. I was very mad. I asked the woman what he's still doing with the man. Or is she waiting for people to carry her corpse before she flees for her life? The phone is still with me. I'm confused on what to do.
This man needs to be stopped before a disaster strikes. It's just a matter of time. I fear for the woman's life seriously. What can I do to help the situation guys. I'm really disturbed. Just get the woman's father, mother, brother or sister call them and tell them, if them no act, na their sister dead body them come carry. |

They expect you to beg, spend tons of money on them and meet their whole family before they agree to a relationship. Some believe in making the guy work hard to get them to prove they are not cheap. Annabelle12344: I just created this account to post this. I'm really Disturbed.
My wedding is approaching and I'm so excited about it. Before I met my husband to be, there's this married man I know. Right from day one he told me who was married but his family based in a different state. I told him I'm single and I can't marry a married man nor date a married man. We both laughed about it.
Years passed, he became so close to my family and everybody around me. He comes to my house, gist with my mum, siblings and my family members are very accommodating. I had my boyfriend whom everyone knows, that I have nothing with this man. he support me financially some times. I have been helpful as well in my own ways. most times, I helped him out with cooking, even followed him to supper market to pick beautiful clothes (wears) for his wife and children. I have known this man for about 4 yrs now, but never have I had intimat.e relationship with him. He's like a big brother to me although he deeply loved me and have asked me out severally, but i have never involved myself with him s.exuallly.
This man have been so good to me, but now, I want to get married and he's so angry with me, he appears so hurt and heartbroken. He's behaving as if I betray his love. He's acting as if nothing mean anything to him any more. He almost lost his job last week due to lack of concentration. He takes his job carelessly now,
How can I help him heal emotionally, without distracting my own marriage?
Is ignoring him at this point the best option?
How should I handle this? Pls advice Sometimes I feel like slapping a lot of you guys with these your crazy attitudes and wanting people to tell you what you already know and can do. First, when a man or a woman asks you out and you are not interested, start from day one to avoid him or her. Again, what's your business that a married wants to kill himself? Face your life and let him kill himself. His blood is not on your head. Simple. |

Firstly, my greatest fear when it comes to things of this world is 'women', That's why i don't want to break a womans heart in a way that i will be the one to recieve the blame.
I've been in a relationship with my girl for about 3years now, and each time my mum or friends ask me if i'm gonna marry her, my answer is always a capital letter NO.
Now, my mum is warning me to better let her go since i don't have the interest of marrying her. But the hard part is that i'v been promising this girl that i will marry her even when i'm 100% sure i won't marry her, and i don't no how to go about ending the friendship now.
Recently, i've been picking offences for minor isues, getting angry with her for no reasons, trying to give her signal, but none seems to be working, and its now like my anger is her source of happiness these days.
I really want to end the friendship now, but i want the blame to be on her side and not mine, how can i go about it?
ADVICE ME WELL

I live with my girlfriend. She has been staying with me for a year and 8 months now. Sex was perfect 3 to 4 times a week.
But ever since she started working sex has become a problem. She will make excuses that she is tired that her back is hurting or headaches. For 3 weeks no sex. She doesn't care at all and we are living like roommates and yesterday was worse.
I was in the mood for it and she bluntly refused so I had to force her. I ripped her pant but she didn't give up she scratches me on my face. I slapped her so hard out of anger. I didn't mean to and I left the house for a few hours. I apologised for forcing her and I told her I am not going to leave with her anymore if she will not give me sex. I asked her to leave so my next babe can move in she said she is leaving in 2 weeks.
Note I don't have any other babe except from her and I have never cheated on her before. I love her a lot she is my life but I just don't like her new attitude.
