I don't really know if they give atm for free. I haven't applied for it, but I doubt that. Though if you have an account with zenith bank before applying to open dom account, you will only be asked to write just application letter in this regards. For UBA you will have to to fill form to open the account. I just opened at the two banks last week. I was not asked for any $100 deposit. Probably because I have accounts with them.

ok... i guess zenith and UBA are cooler... In GT bank, if you apply for dollar atm card, u will be told to either hold a minimum of $30 dollar in your domiciliary acct or N5000 in your naira Gtbank acct too

From my enquiry, Chester University does! Kindly make more research. Infact,you can pay for a week or two weeks of coming in the UK.
They do that to enable especially the international students to settle in.


You may also search for Chester University accommodations at Facebook. Private landlords usually drop advertisements there.

i think it was during covid quarantine policy by the UK govt whereby Chester students earlier quarantined in campus hostels for a week or so, but now i heard that the govt will formally recognize vaccinated Nigerians starting 11th October.. so there is no more one week or 10 days quarantine..

Manchester hotel? where d moni de... abeg o. after contacting Chester uni few days ago, the school said they won't provide any student accommodation for few weeks or few months... they can only give for a long duration of 8-months accommodation.. that's a challenge

Why not pay for school accommodation ? When you are a bit settled,you look for another accommodation.

the school does not provide a contract of a few months to rent... instead the chester Uni wants a long-term contract student accommodation of nearly a year.. that's difficult to accept. It is why i seek accommodation within Chester but not school accommodation

it is not school accommodation... just seeking accommodation from landlord (off-campus)

I got Masters admission (studying online currently) to Chester University and I plan to arrive in UK soon but i have not yet booked accommodation. Pls is it advisable to book accommodation (outside campus with landlord) only after I have arrived in UK? If So, how do i secure accommodation on my very first day of arrival?
Secondly, is it advisable to book and pay for UK accommodation thru accommodation websites while still in Nigeria?

You can use Payoneer (not a bank). I doubt there is any bank that will do transfer for free.

My family (4 dependants) got transferred to VAC yesterday. Mine got transferred today.

We all got collection mail between 2:44pm and 3:04pm today and will pick up tomorrow.

It’s seems TLS likes sending most collection mails close to the time they close for the day. #My thoughts.

Be there by 8:30am.
For assisted service, go with all your academic documents esp those listed on the CAS. Your financial documents and Intl passport.
You don't need passport photograph.
Do photocopy of your passport.
Also the checklist (I'm not sure if it is available for assisted service)

pls concerning that financial document, is it the same one I submitted b4 to my university as POF with the exact date that I would bring to TLS Abuja, or am I supposed to go to the bank today to get a fresh Proof of Fund financial statement?

wrong....i meant ATM card for domiciliary/dollar accounts. Ecobank i think doesn't give dollar Atm based on what one of their branch staff in Area 8 told me

I don't have, and sadly I don't know anyone abroad that could assist with a pounds/dollar ATM card. Even here in naija, I don't know anyone. I have to search for someone with dollar ATM card in order to pay the UK student Visa because i just got the CAS on Thursday.

Good day to you all. please I have an issue with my VISA. I and my friend applied together (PRIORITY) on 2nd of September but he already got his collection email on 13th while I haven't gotten mine.

My ordeal: My biometric was on 2nd of Sept, On the 7th of sept, I was called from the bank (FCMB) around 1pm to give consent concerning the British embassy confirming my account statement in which I did. On the same day, I got "non-straightforward" around 3pm. Till now my application is still being received by Dmc.

My concern, the bank I use is FCMB and the account type is Personal Business Account in which I have multiple transactions/ plenty turn over through the 28 days cos I use it a lot for business, but through out, the money never go down below the required money needed as proof of fund for my visa, could this be the reason I got the non-straightforward email? what else do you think could be the problem and what do you advice I do please?

More so, I am changing from the course I did as an undergraduate to something new entirely. could this also be the problem?
