This happened a few days ago. I just drove out from a friend's place trying to access a street at a T-junction. As I got close to the end of the street which was very sandy, there was one little boy pushing a wheel barrow containing a jerrican of water. He was trying to enter a fenced compound through a gate thereby blocking the way. I now came out of my car to help him push the wheel barrow from the way. Behold my car started moving. The guy driving behind me shouted ''Hey your car is driving itself ooo''Apparently I left the car in drive position before coming out. I wish one nairalander was nearly to bring you the live video. Sorry oo, no video but it was a sight to behold seeing my car driving away without me!

And this carelessness of urs dt could have caused an accident is what is exciting u. Ur head really needs to b examined

I use a Honda acoord 1996( bulldog). I went to the mechanic yesterday to tell him that I want to travel. That he should please drive my car to test it for me. He did and informed me that I will need up to 20k to fix some things. OK. This morning I gave him 14.5k. Told him I will balance him when I return from work.
Only to return and he told me that he found additional things wrong which he has changed and that my bill is 33k.
Even if he actually did change those thins I feel it'll be foolish to pay him ' just like that'.
Please how do we catch this mechanics when they are lying?

I've considered some options since I do like the idea of changing mechanics often:

1. Always buy the spare parts by my self : but I'm scared not to buy fake
2. Never to take my car there unless I have the time to stay with him throughout....( difficult)
3. Always verify prices of spare parts : how? I know very little about car part names let alone prices!
4. Change the mechanic: getting a sincere mechanic is so difficult. Also somebody advice that it is not in the interest of the car to change mechanics often.

Can somebody give some sound advice or experience I can learn from?

U act like someone who is nt interested in learning abt ur car, hw it works n hw to take care of it. Hw can a mechanic say sth is wrong with ur car n it will cost 20k to fix it n u didn't ask him to list d things to b changed n d prices. U acted like a mugu n d mechanic is taking advantage of dt in fact na ur type dem dey always pray to ve as customer BC dts where dey make their real dough.

Hw r u sure he even changed anything frm ur car, he might even b collecting d original parts ur car came with and sell then as toks while fixing china fake parts for u, infact fire dt kazeen nw B4 he finishes u. U r d prob BC of ur lack of interest in learning abt hw ur car works.

Whoever told u its nt good to fire a non performing mechanic is a clown, and to think he is even stealing ur money. I maintain an average of three mechanics at a time n my knowledge abt my car has soo grown dt as I meet my mechanic I am telling him d probable cause of my car prob n hw he will fix it all thanks to internet n nl car section.

Majority of naija car owners r like u they play absolute indifference to things abt their car relying 100% on mechanics who devastate their car ownership experience

Lol this must b a stolen car BC even if it has no engine n transmission it is still worth more than 120k

But then, there is a formula for spending. I have mentioned it before here, but I have to repeat it. Christmas is around the corner now and spending rate is going to rise exponentially.
So here it is...

Here is the formula.

Save 10 % of your income or more first before you start spending the rest.

Don't spend before saving. Saving should come first.

Also, if you must spend make sure you have something paying for it. That is, you need an investment.

That's what your saving should be for.

Poor people save to spend on things that won't bring back money to them. But rich people, people who really understand how money works save so as to have money they can invest with.

That, too, should be your own strategy.


Best way to spend your income for proper effectiveness is..

1. Self investment - i.e. Reading good books, watching good movies of actors which u can model..etc..

2. Life experiences : traveling, workshops, live-performances of successful models, take the best courses, learning from the right people who are better than you ..etc.

Always increase your Personal value, be it your game, Influence, Status, your Health, whatever it is.
Because as your personal value increases, okay, NOT only will you attract more Success and more women, but you'll also attract more opportunities.

Because the world will tend to reward people who have High Personal Value.

I dnt agree with the idea of making your hubby a full time house husband even when hard working men cant afford to have house wives. Times are hard and the family needs both hands working together to support it.

As strong as I am, I'm really getting tired of this my 19 year old brother.

My parents complained about how he's bn frustrating there lives, I decided to take him in with me since I don't want my parents to have hypertension because of him. I had to create a new account just to post this as it's quite sensitive. It's quite lengthy too but I'll be brief. I need mature and friendly advice from people here.

When I first met my husband, it was in a library. We talked briefly and we became close. I have had past relationships in my life so I was careful as possible. I realised that he had no past relationship. He was a typical virgin and was new and I was his first girlfriend. So I felt comfortable with him. He was so kind and loving so I agreed to marry him.

Now it has gotten worse. Everytime he does anything I want without asking questions. At first I enjoyed it but now I'm starting to worry about him as it's getting out of hand. He does not display any act of manliness in the house. He behaves like my puppet or my foot stool. The other day he was watching the soccer game and I just jokingly mentioned how boring it was and I would prefer the faith channel. He changed the channel to the faith channel just like that. Even at work he would be calling me and texting me I am even scared he would loose his job if his employer finds out.

I have no time for myself.. he is always around. Sometimes if I say no to his advances for sex he would act like I am a wicked woman who has cheated him or rubbed him of his right. Hello friends, pls pardon my long sermon. I lost my job 2 months after my wedding. Have been trying so hard to secure a new job all to no avail, I ventured into freelancing because man must wack. The freelance thing wasn't steady, I have faced serious hardship all this while. I did a practical interview six months ago with an oil servicing company here in Port Harcourt though I passed the interview they never called.
