My international passport bears my maiden name and I used the same maiden name for University application, while my bank account and BVN bears my married name.The challenge now is that my married name is on the statement of account (for Proof of funds) -which I'll use to apply for Visa- and it's different from my maiden name which will be on the CAS.Please can I go ahead to apply for visa with my married name or what do you suggest I do to prevent any issue? I have supporting evidence for my change of name; my marriage certificate, sworn affidavit and newspaper publication.

it’s fine. Submit ur marriage cert and the other 2 documents to prove U are one and the same person. However whatever name is on ur intl passport is the name u are to use to apply for visa.

I am planning on applying for dependent visa for my kids. One of my kids has issues with the name on the birth certificate and passport. The first and second names were switched. The name on the birth certificate reads " Uchenna David Oke*****', while the name on the passport reads "David Uchenna Oke*****". I hope this won't be a problem when I eventually apply for them? The last time i renewed my passport, I paid 40k. this was last year. Prices have even gone up. I asked the Immigration officer but online its 25k nau why cant I do online. He laughed and told me bluntly its like you dont want your passport at all. Oya go online na. Nobody will attend to you. We already know how Nig is, so I am quite perplexed when one argue these things.

Presently, the Minister has commissioned more states for the new enhanced passport. He added Enugu to the list on Thursday and added Oyo state in December. As at today, applicant should be able to get the new passport in not less than 10 states if not more

marriage certificate and newspaper publication is ok. When filling your visa form, it will ask if you are known by any other name, write all your names. New and old.

They applied together with the mother. Father’s consent was included in the application

the father needs to apply. The nsf specifically asked for father’s visa application. If father does not want to go to the UK there must be serious compelling circumstances + evidence otherwise these children will not be granted visa

Due to the difficulties surrounding passport renewals in Nigeria, what happens if one doesn't succeed in getting the new passport before the intended return trip ? Are there any risks unvolved? (its just a 10days vacation in naija).

there is no risk. U can travel with passprt validity of 1 day. I have done it

if you pay the official price, you go tey small before u get am sha... Did it in Ibadan...

passport in Ibadan is 17k for e passprt, if they have commenced the enhanced then it is 26k. Nobody asked u to go pay a ridiculous amount to corrupt officials. I rather tey small and do the right thing and pay the official price. Nigeria will be great again. I am not deceived!

There is a new type of passport now being issued by the NIS, they ve phased out the old type. Go to any of their offices nearest to you to find out exact amount as this differs from state to state. For the new passport, it's not less than 50k

passpprt is 26k. The new ppt is the enhanced e ppt which is 26k and only avail in lagos, abuja and ph. The other ppt issued in the remainin states is 17k for adults and 11k for children

church oo.. islam certificate… traditional certificate.. local govt certificate are all accepted as long as marriage is genuine!

Go to NIN's head office in your location, there is provision for whatever issue you have with your slip/NIN. It is not free though

pay for name modification on remita . It is 500 naira, paid to NIMC. Then go with all documents and application letter to NIN office. U are only supposed to pay 500 naira through remita. Print receipt/invoice

If marriage certificate is needed it means I need to get before getting my CAS from school or can I get my CAS from school without been married
I read something here that you need a letter from your spouse school to apply as a dependent

not needed. U can also get married after ur visa application. The important thing is for the marriage/relationship to be genuine as u will be asked for proofs.

check ur bank card limit for foreign transactions. Call ur bank and ask. If ur limit is 100usd per month, a paymnt of 132usd will not go.

who informed you that someone is refusing to stamp new passport? Nobody is privy to such information except he was directly contacted by homeoffice. Did homeoffice contact him? TLS is not homeoffice, TLS is only a visa application centre and have no bearing on who gets a visa or not

Please I need advice, my mum and I will be going for US visa interview next month, my mum has however been issued visa before and it expired last year, I want to follow her now because my sister needs me to take care of her kids and also help take my mum for follow up appointment on the surgery she did.
The main problem is this, as at last year when we filled the form Ds 160, we wrote that we will spend 6 months cos my sister will be going for Military training but since we couldn't get an earlier date, she couldn't go.
Now going for the interview, I don't intend to spend more than 2months cos I have business and a daughter to take care of.
I hope if I say I'm staying 2months, it won't contradict what I earlier stated in the forms.
Please a response will really guide me on the right thing to do

pls dnt go to the embassy with the form that states you intend spending 6 months. I can assure you it will not end well. You are not a nanny to come and stay with your sister’s kids for 6 months, it is not a reason to be given visa. Pls visiting family that you have missed is an enough reason to travel, not necessary to say you are coming to the US for 6 months to stay with her children for 6mnths. What of ur own circumstances in Nigeria?- that is what will be important to the visa officer, not necessarily whether ur mom has previous us travl hx or ur sister’s military training

I think studying in Georgia Tbilisi is way too cheaper compare to other European Countries, They also Have friendly people and also have enabling environment for good studies. I recommend Georgia Tbilisi for any none who want to study in Europe . Cheap tuition fees and easy Visa grant. though you have to go to Ethiopia for your Visa.
