There is an interesting aspect to the turn of events... What started out as, more or less, a publicity stunt began to take a serious twist... The Donald himself was surprised at a point and started to take things SERIOUSLY...I mean his personal swipes at everyone perceived antagonising is phenomenal... However, one thing I find no one to disagree with is, the fact that the whole Trump Journey to the white house, the idea of it, filled every actual and intending stakeholder - citizen, pr, illegals, even nations with dread or at the very least sober reflection... This is unprecedented yet a positive... The christians prayed, muslims recited sunnahs, presidents were vocal, celebrities threatened, etc all to avert the emergence of the DONALD... Even the DONALD recognized the potency of the unseen Hands in control of the Universe, by meeting with christians and having them pray for and with him...(regardless of what we deem it, Prayer is what it is, an acknowledgement of the existence, believed in or not, who has to be appeased no matter how sophisticated) howbeit, and realistically, as Papa Oyedepo aptly puts it "one cannot pray away a prophetic agenda, one can only pray an exception" whatever happens in the next few years "the sun will rise"... Will you be ready for what its going to bring?

Poverty is a god capable of taking the right to critically think in ways that are progressive...rather than say 'they are witches' would it not be more reasonable and objective to say, in this harsh economic times, we can no longer afford to cater for this children? Rather they go to church, believe a supposed "mon of god" (sic) who is in actual fact a business man, who probably has no kids of his own, wants more service, tithes, offerings and what have you, from the parents in 'his' vineyard...how to do that? Eliminate the children...
Its sad...if any woman remembers the 'valley of the shadow of death' passed through in bringing those children to the world, she would, like Hannah in the Bible, go seek God herself... Poverty of ANY KIND is the root of all Insanity, clinically diagnosed or not... Smh

CelebritiesRe: Michael Omani Blasts Kaffy: "You Treat Us The Way Davido Treated You" by Ojady(m): 2:01pm On Oct 27, 2016
The issue being raised here, ladies and gentlemen, is a Nigerian generic problem...a milieu where people have not the slightest idea of how to treat people with the most basic level of civility and courtesy... Unfortunately, we try to replicate what civilized countries have by way of a contract, but as usual, as typical to Nigeria, we adopt the body, without the spirit and soul of the concept, thereby resulting in it becoming bastardized and eventually animalized...

Did Miss Dance Queen have a contract with Davido? Mr Omani, do you have a legal document stating your terms of service with all those you work for?... From their rant, there is a suggestion they probably dont...implying that they re both towing the usual, 'man know man', 'its Kaffy, the Nigerian Intarnational (sic) dance Queen', etc The dangers of such is that when things go south like this, people flip out, shots get fired, people get hurt and people, like Dr Dre once put it, "...get zipped up in plastic, it happened, THATS IT"

So the moral here is, in the era of "change" not the fraudulent kind propagated by PMB & APC, Kaffy, Davido, Alani the bus conductor, Haruna the cattle rearer, abi na grazer; Chinedu the spare parts broker, PMB, let us try on a consistent basis to practice civil behaviour and basic courtesy...if we dont, poverty of material is bad, no doubt, but what is worse, is poverty of the virtue of kindness to one another, WITHOUT IT, no society can last very long

When the biblical Joseph predicted a famine ( recession) in Egypt, he didnt ask Pharoah to go to Syria, Greece or Rome to speak on the realities that would befall Egyptians during the recession, nor opportunities rising in the recession, rather he said make food available and affordable to every Ramses, Anak sunamun, Hossam Hassan etc... They, the masses, are the most objective channels for the dissemination of your 'progress' or 'change'...
You fly to the US, a country where during their recession, people did not degenerate to animalistic tendencies in their quest for subsistence, with way more than 10 people in your entourage, with thousands or millions of our money, after initially insulting us by shoving your trojan horse 'change' upon us, annoyingly asking us to be the change...pfff... this man, his party, his crew are confused, misguided and dont know what they are doing... This is not funny at all...What would have been the fate of these 2 gals if not for the sharp thinking of the neighbourhood boy? They could have been molested, decapitated and fetishly ritualized ... My God! This could be anyone's children...the kidnap of children added to what people are going through now...would definitely be devastating... It really is a miracle...

These people should be tried to the full extent of the law...the case should not be allowed to fizzle out or the perpetrators walking away with a slap on the wrist... They should serve as deterrents to those doing such or contemplating to... - follow up by print journalists and tv broadcasters...accomplices at large should be rounded upnfolding events, trial and conviction should be shown on tv...rather than these unedifying music videos being aired...

I have a question though, why are people swift to commit jungle justice on people who rob, stealing material things and then hand over ritual childnappers to the police? Can a life be replaced?

For over 15 years, you stood as opposition to pdp, running for president with campaigns to 'change' the nation only to get there and spend the first 6 months gallivanting all over the world under the illusion of improving international relations, everything and i mean EVERYTHING is grossly deteriorated on your watch, human lives are being snuffed out daily, poverty has swallowed every fabric of sanity, the word Nigerian is anathema at home, across Africa and globally...you now come out to justify yourself with transparency bull poo.. PMB and APC, were you all so busy opposing the pdp that you missed out on the intelligence required in running the country? Over 29 years ago, Long before i got into high school, the news was about overdependence on oil, PMB, PYO, BRF, BAT, APC etc...if you all were what you made us believe you were, your major task would have been to devise a strategy on diversifying the economy, identify what was working or not, in the incumbent's policies, improve on it or overhaul it, if need be...come up with your own well thought of, carefully designed policies... you had 16 years to do all that but, alas... you are just like your predecessor...lying politicians, party who has no iota of national interest, a group whose values are so non existent, the crooks from pdp occupy the top echelons of its fold... Very informative, however, my dear readers, there is nothing new about the fact that Nigerians are one of the most brilliant minds in the world, the purposes to which such ingenuity are used are borne by a number of factors, a major one being the dearth of opportunities to groom and channel it to societally benefit Nigeria as a whole.
Without further ado, this piece is a witty sales pitch... How? The writer wants us to believe scammers have devised a new way of hacking, they paint scenarios of the modus operandi involved, how much people, smes, organizations have lost blah di blah di... One reads on and is utterly taken with just how much havoc they can perpetrate actually and potentially... And then they deliver to you the main objective of the piece "...Stewart and Bettke have also uploaded a program to GitHub that detects digital artifacts that remain on an altered invoice to tip employees off to suspicious activity..." which is inform and sell you 'a program'. Every reader is perhaps searching for the name, where to purchase and how to, now... Impressive...

Personally, if you were born in Nigeria, raised there, and even live there, face it, there is nothing worth being proud of, neither worth representing the country for... Whatever you do, do for yourself, when you succeed, trust your new found home to lay a claim on you, and why not, since they provided you with the most basic enabling environment to compete favorably... Hilariously, at that point, Nigeria too, will show up like that irresponsible father who abandoned you as a child and now you've done good, wants to stake claim... In Nigeria, Government is just a cover for liars, thieves, mentally impoverished old men, to legitimately perpetrate the worst crimes... On a lighter note, I met Jon a few years ago and he is a brilliant brilliant man. He takes pride in the sport and is a really really cool guy... Good luck Jo

I was not having that, I clapped back... stating facts: In Africa, no country's women rivals Kenyan women in ease to lure into bed...take her to the club, 2 pints of lager and boy! oh boy! you're getting something...it doesnt matter if its a first date...they are good though... As for their men, typical kenyan man no dey like to work, they can drink a brewery dry and, interestingly, they can live off their woman steady...going through her bag to pilfer money to go drink, he comes back drunk and wants some... Woe betide her if she refuses or even scolds him...that leads to the only other title Kenyan men are known all over the world for "Undisputed wife/girlfriend/sister/mother/baby mama beaters"... Litttle wonder, in and outside Kenya, their women prefer foreign men... Naija men inclusive

PoliticsRe: Tinubu’s Ramadan Gifts: Two Dead by Ojady(m): 4:30pm On Jul 03, 2016
Again, another unfortunate incident similar to the immigration recruitment saga, that should have never occurred in the first place. No ambulances, no near perfect strategy for distributing on standby; It appears distribution and not, the safety of life before, during and after distribution was the agenda.

Distribution in a philantrophic gesture is a project, laudable in intent, the outcome in all ramifications should be impressive. In a country where development especially in the creation of employment opportunities is comatose, people well of, should take time to be their brother's keeper...as such, when such distribution is to be executed, it should be planned vis, an accessible, spacious location, time schedule, how will recipients ingress and egress the venue, hand bands given on entry and marked on exit; body search for everyone coming in...no loitering, or crowding, everyone keeping it moving, ambulances, medical personell (NYSC corpers are more affordable) should be on standy...PLAN, ANTICIPATE, STRATEGY, EXECUTE AND REVIEW.

Take note for future such endeavours... your philantrophy will be given a bad name should people lose their lives and property.

Rest in Power and Peace to the Dead.
TravelRe: Iceland Deports Boko Haram Victim From Nigeria - Al Jazeera by Ojady(m): 12:50am On Jun 21, 2016
One requires no phd in picking holes with his story...however the point is, he has lived in Europe for more than 3 years, that is long enough to socially adapt to life there and not Nigeria where daily everything deteriorates from worst to the deepest throes of hell. Whether he is Eze or Keita or Siyabonga, is not the issue... The real issue is he is 'BLACK' made worse by the fact that he is 'NIGERIAN BLACK' - the most despised and highly suspected specie of black in the Universe.

Go to Europe, India, USA, when the wrong things perpetrated by the less than 25% of Nigerians are reported, non-Africans and even Africans are like "its a Nigerian" or "Nigeria is involved". We, unfortunate to be associated with such a disreputable toga, comfort ourselves by saying 'na yellowbar', 'na African jews' when the bottomline of the report is to keep the bad name tainted forever and deny the immense positive contributions of the remaining 75%.

It is little wonder that every opportunity we have to leave, we seize it...by the book or not, it is just a reaffirmation that man regardless of race will seek safety, security and self actualization, regardless if he is Nigerian, Zulu, Creole, Mulatto, White or Asian...anywhere he thinks he can...back then the Irish, Japanese, British etc migrated to Africa, Africans did not draft laws to shut them out or make life unbearable, now when the tables are turned, they cry wolf

In conclusion, if he were white, he would have been left alone, if he had went the family way he might have been left alone, if he were South African, he might be preferred BUT he told the truth, I am afraid for my mental, physical, emotional, future life should i return...that is basis enough...he is first a human being, with a right to life and choice to live anywhere except he has committed a crime.

TravelRe: I'm Relocating My Family From Europe To Nigeria, Please Advice by Ojady(m): 11:58am On Jun 10, 2016
DO NOT TRY IT!

I did it, followed all the advice, sought employment, started a business... It just was not worth it... I thank God, i was able to get us back out... I guess our destiny as a family did not lie there.

As one of the many who did it and regretted the decision right from the MMIA, my question is, what adjustments to your family life, can you not make out there, that makes you seriously believe relocating to Nigeria ( of all places) is a viable option?

Anyone who has lived in Europe or any developed country legally, for 2 years, regardless of age, wealth, determination or lets say misguided love for the Nigeria, will struggle should they return. How on earth can one fathom leaving a place where 96.9% of everything works, (even the 3.1% outstanding will eventually work) to a place where nothing, absolutely NOTHING works. An earlier contributor opined, you find out if this thought pattern is not 'remotely controlled' by the invisible forces highly prevalent in Nigeria, I am forced to agree with him.

Nigeria has defied more negatively every path trodden by developed and developing nations towards sustenable growth. The poverty of immaterial values critical to civil behaviour and progress is grossly manifest that it is evident even amongst the 'well to do'.

Nigeria is a place where everyone is paranoid, angry, potentially prone to covert and overt violence, lawlessness; things are done haplessly, power is comatose, fuel is a nightmare, the hospitals are just an embassy to the grave; money - the want for more, the need for enough to get by is eating everyone. People are not human there, just borderline between human and beasts. That is why the helpless turn to churches, others to voodoo and juju, others to armed robbery, some to scamming, some jack of all trades and a specialist of none, politics etc

Now i do realize you may have memories of your growing up in Nigeria, filling you with nostalgia, that is fine, yet, i believe it is your responsibility to ensure that your children do not battle the same challenges you had in your own time. You have already set them up to a worldview far advanced than what you had, is the moral decay you see, stronger than your determination, that come hell or high water, I will do my best possible to raise my kids right?

You appear to be a man who is truly concerned about the future, believe you me, returning with your whole family is the least of viable options...never jump into a flowing river or any river with both feet. If you must relocate, you come but for godsakes, LEAVE YOUR FAMILY THERE! #my2cents... #leadingyoudownaroadihavetravelled

The day you go and LIVE in a developed country legally, pay taxes, enjoy basic amenities, where 96.9% of everything works, where people are still in touch with what makes them higher animals, become socially adapted to the way of life there...then and ONLY then...can you come and post such an erroneous piece...
First of, life as a blackman, emphatically as a Nigerian is terribly challenging, for any Nigerian to live in Europe or North America, critical to your survival is how quick you can adapt, shedding most if not all of the Nigerianess you have, which is a hard thing to do...especially if you're over 18...
Now after going through the unimaginable to become a globally civilized person, you think one or two visits to Nigeria is going to just switch a person back to Nigerian again right? Seriously?

PoliticsRe: Murray-Bruce: List Of Countries Visited By Buhari (Photo) by Ojady(m): 3:57pm On Apr 01, 2016
Which is laudable:
A. PMB assumes office, focusses all efforts on repairing the Nigerian image from within. Gives his ministers and other political appointees one year to improve to a minimum of 50 percent, the sectors they are each assigned to. Giving each and every one of them indices to measure progress and measure performance. He personally supervising the performance of key sectors, power, human development, industry, agriculture. Keeping every minister on their toes, carry out visits to select places where he can have firsthand experience of what the Nigerian masses are facing and their needs. All these if done in one year and progressive change, no matter how small, is experienced by majority of Nigerians, the word will spread, Nigerians at home, will tell those abroad. African presidents will visit and tell their other counterparts, our local media will showcase that indeed the era of change, progressive for all is here...

B. PMB assumes office, uses tax payers money to travel all over the world to verbally state that things have changed. The countries he visits, compared to the one he represents are not at par in every sense of development. He forgets that these people are not stupid, how would any president take PMB serious when Nigerians have experienced harsh economic realities under his watch. You travel everywhere, there is no power, there is no fuel, no jobs, biafrans are agitating, Boko haram is in the north, ritual kidnappings and killings, political assassinations, the Naira to the dollar, pound etc is at a considerable high etc... What image, is he trying to personally revamp?

Jobs/VacanciesRe: My Near Death Experience by Ojady(m): 11:59pm On Mar 28, 2016
Now here is one of those who went through and lived to tell the tale. No doubt, you are one hell of a lucky person and all adulation to God for His abundantly evident mercies over your life.
There are a lot to be said, first of: our highways are just designated pathways vehicles are assigned to get from one state to another. Outside this basic rudimentary concept of a road, our effigy of a highway ( typical case in point, Lagos-Ibadan Highway) does not make the cut. Our roads are not properly constructed, the technologies involved are obsolete, the roads are overstretched day and night by the heavy traffic of all kinds of vehicles; When accidents or fuel tanker infernos occur, what the FRSC, emergency services etc care about is to clear the road for 'normal' to continue. No Forensics are carried out on the spot the incident happened, why it occurred, could it have been prevented, what precautions should be put in place incase it does happen elsewhere. A solution would be erecting speed limit signs on every major highway. Also worthy of note, some highways need to be critically assessed, a smooth track after 6 months of heavy use like we have in Nigeria would show signs of wear and tear. I recall, Back in the early 2000s, i plied the Lagos-Ibadan route a number of times and i observed that the track no matter the absence of potholes was, not level, what i mean is, once I switched lanes to go by another vehicle (i believe we call it, overtake) and return to my previous lane, if i was negligent to the extent of not holding firmly to the steering wheel, i, many times, would sense the uneven surface of the road trying to impede my control of the car - my SW buddy calls it 'fa 'wo'. This was my observation. I'm sure not everyone drove a grade A tokunbo car and loved to shunt or replicate Fast and Furious like me.

2. Lets face it, majority of us, drivers in Nigeria dont know jack about defensive or safe driving. To Most of us, the concept of driving was built around moving the car from point A to point B. Once you can do that safely, then, according to driving in Nigeria, you are fit for the road. This is a fundamental basis for the high rate of driving test retakes amongst Immigrant Nigerians living in countries like the UK, US, Canada, Germany etc. The number of years one has been 'moving a car' (sic) is irrelevant. The connection of this fact to our post here, is, how on earth does anyone hit the brakes when a wheel flies off the vehicle or bursts in high speed motion? The answer is, such a person is untrained or inexperienced on that and so does the most impulsive thing, which is to stop the car ( Erroneously hitting the brakes) which leads to a flip, causing injuries to everyone.

Thirdly, one would expect a company like KPMG to apply and adapt global standards to their recruitment processes. I mean, except if the OP filled in an address stating he lived in Lagos, a simple skype interview would have sufficed. I make this argument primarily, on the basis, that, if he got deceased in the accident, KPMG, would mark him as a 'no show' there would be no follow up and 'thats it'. He wouldnt be on that road if it were not for KPMG. But thank God, he survived and still went through with it.

And to Mr OP, it wasnt your time to go, God, destiny still has a lot for you to accomplish on this side. Remember that, and seek to find and do that. You might need to look out for any PTSDs that might be lurking somewhere, it was an experience. And also, listen and follow your gut, if you had qualms about the vehicle ab initio, stick to it, our instincts never lie. Try to leave your location a day before, that way you have the luxury of choice.

May God protect us all, 'cos obviously the Government dont have a clue on how to do that.

Another perspective to this, that man over there, just made a case for seeking political assylum in the UK, check it: No 1, he's igbo, a pro-biafran agitator, 2. He's attacking a stalwart of the incumbent 'ruling party' (APthieves, hypocrites and liars) outside Nigeria, on record by the media and police, 3. He alleges 'ALL' his family were killed... All grave allegations, the UK will listen to and most likely will grant him assylum for... Anyone thinking this is about Biafra, One Nigeria, whatever is barking up the wrong tree.. Its about him, him and him... He's definitely having a laugh right now: Plan A worked, now to Plan B... Keep an eye out on the brova... There are many routes to the marketplace...lol
