CareerRe: Obasanjo Sacks Staff Of His Presidential Library, Refuses To Pay Salaries by Ojady(m): 5:18pm On May 30, 2020
Again, this right here is one of the problems Nigeria has : copying Western behaviour without thinking futuristically or relevance. Building a library is aimed at immortalizing, amongst other reasons, a President. This is typical amongst US Presidents however, in Nigeria, it is publicized to do such but the reality is just to waste resources. That edifice in total, land and structure is worth millions. Everyone knows that majority of Nigerians cannot read, do not read at all, peruse and conclude after the first 6 lines, and are losing the ability to read - who then, decides to build a library. Ben Bruce knew this and so built Silverbird Galleria etc... for entertainment, which unfortunately will outlast Presidential Library.
I am guessing the place is about to be converted to something else...the periphery (30k, 50k employees) being the first to go

I suggest a university annex, a government parastatal, a hospital, a research center,etc

Sho! See question!? Get rich! Oga, get rich!
When you are rich, throw a Christmas party, birthday and invite the ones you get along with FIRST, no mention of reunion or family things - just plain simple fun...keep things up and in time, some will fall in, others will not - nothing you can do about that...
Ironically, those who ask or want to do such things you re thinking of, are not the wealthy members of the family...
FamilyRe: Why Children Of Strict Parents Turn Out To Be Worse by Ojady(m): 7:05pm On May 25, 2020
That my dear, is your story. It is not the Generalization. I want to assume your parents were well off, otherwise, if food was scarce on your family table, everyone was chipping in somehow - mum and dad working end to end, kids as well: Hawking and looking after each other and you had to struggle to get into Uni, youthful exuberance as you so described would not have been an option. Nonetheless, strict parental upbringing differs substantially from spoiled/pampered/overprotected upbringing. You knew what you knew at the time, when you knew better, you did better... Nothing to do with strict parenting...shikena!
CelebritiesRe: Banky W Sacks His Chef For Stealing Cans Of Milo by Ojady(m): 2:07am On May 20, 2020
ShenTeh:
Sir, may I know if there's a personal long-standing 'beef' between you and Mr Wellington sir? Why does it look like a bold attempt to demonize him.

There's absolutely no excuse for stealing from your employer. The chef (or houseboy as you posit) could walk if he felt underserved. People have lost greater opportunities for lesser crimes and in my opinion, Banky W's decision was his prerogative. The 'houseboy's' action is both legally wrong and morally unacceptable.

If you have suspicions and facts about financial impropriety with Banky W why not petition him with EFCC, ICPC, etc but this issue in it's integrity, I totally disagree with your position.
No, my Lord! I do not know him, our paths have not crossed (to demonize would then be uncalled for) neither do I 'beef' anyone. Rather my grouse is unhinged when privileged folks take a bazooka to a perched fly. Imagine what an overzealous orderly, bodyguard or FAN(atic) of his would have done to score points with Oga or Madam if he were in Power as a Representative/senator etc and this happened.

As per the 'Gringory'... oops! I meant Chef (no vex, bros!) and as I implied earlier, the act is reprehensible but then, Milo na big man water for Naija. If he had asked, would he have been given? He probably assumed the Milo plenty for there, nobody go miss am but then "shifty" is a huge giveaway for anybody...'dude knew it was wrong but then, Banky's self aggrandizement on this in a bid to boost his image is a low blow meaning Mr Wellington could have done better.

It is obvious, he was ill advised on this attempt at publicity. If I were him, his publicity advisers need an upgrade, a narrative glorifying the rich over the poor is a landmine, rather than a story centred around him, a 3rd party overview (sth like, I once knew a promising lad who chose a can of Milo over the many opportunities around him) rather than a direct referral to himself would suffice. In Celebrity (Bourgeois to Musician and now Politician) life, LESS is MORE.

And lastly Sir, in response to "... financial impropriety..." Banky W, belongs to my generation - one bastardized by our forebears, a set of heartless and unconscionable elders, who recklessly truncated and are still jeopardizing the hopes and aspirations of our generation. If he continues to strut a mantra of change and accountability, pointing fingers at incumbents
for their incompetence, it is then not out of place to demand accountability from him now... EFCC or not, if it is not a big deal now, we will not be able to when he wins political office... Our Fathers may not have had anyone to hold them accountable, but for this our generation, enh? We no go gree
CelebritiesRe: Banky W Sacks His Chef For Stealing Cans Of Milo by Ojady(m): 11:04pm On May 18, 2020
You see, as much as Bankole Wellington tries to hide his Bourgeois background and interior demeanour, it just CANNOT be hid...let's face it, beyond his inferring that, in his thinking as a typical Rich kid, that one can throw away his/her destiny over a can of Milo, there are countless perspectives beyond his view... Here is my opinion - proper English defines a chef as somebody who trained to cook, and became certified to do so... Bankole says he taught the dude how to cook AdesuaBankole style meaning he felt you work with me, you do things - my way (somebody say TOTALITARIAN). MR Wellington is silent on if there was a contract, the age of the gentleman concerned, what hurdles the dude had to scale to work with the self acclaimed Mr Capable. Not forgetting, the background checks and the thorough microscopic-like pre-employment scrutiny, how long the guy worked for him and Madam and,how much the dude was being paid - after all Banky W is a celabrity (sic) For the sake of clarity, perhaps because the typical Nigerian rich does not give a flying F about the dreams, aspirations or even how their charges live... Only when there are in my house, they do what I want, take what I give them and also subject them to my whims and caprices -all is fine.

Now do not misconstrue my point - no one should take what is not rightfully asked for, given or earned, however as Big Brother J C said, "Let he who is without sin, be the FIRST to cast the first stone" for a Rich kid, born, bred, leveraged from rich folks, a Bourgeois background, now a millionaire and a politician (yet to account for all the campaign money spent during his run for office) a can of Milo will not punch more than 4 digits off his growing 8 digits - millions...
Rather than what he did and it's impact on his future, as a panacea of the Nigerian problem, he should have sat the dude down, given him a cup and ask him to drink to his satisfaction. And then ask him why he would steal from him. Something like, I had plans for you, you could be anything just by me giving you a referral. However, as someone who has been a maid before myself, poor dude realized like most rich people behave, even the crumbs from the table they cannot eat in peace.

I will not ask why Banky chooses a houseboy(did I say that!!!),sorry Chef when he can afford machines, robot vacuum cleaner, wifi controlled fridge, tv, lights, dishwasher, laundry washer etc... Abi Adesua no fit cook and clean or the video of his culinary skills were just publicity ... I mean so much whys
Instead of make he show the guy a better way, he go do video put am for social media dey claim righteous - na those wey vote for am or dey feel geez geez about him public life I dey feel sorry for... Many of these people no get conscience or solution to the mass problem of the Nigerian people... Somebody should find the guy, dash am 100k and he will sell you a story one can title "WORKING FOR Banky aka Domestically incapable"...lol

I will try and follow up on the links you referenced and I appreciate you for seeing my interest in the unwritten African History. No doubt this is a critical source, but the problem I have with oral history is the fact that it changes from generation to generation and most time some parts are completely lost.
For instance I have asked my parents about my family history and have been told so many things which I am presently trying to corroborate with others sources before I can take it as the truth.

You are right I am a scholar.
Goodluck Sir, but please, brace yourself...
Attimes in search of history, we find out some mind blowing and unpalatable truth, this is perhaps why some oral renditions of past events are modestly explained (omitting critical facts like incest, epillepsy etc) or exaggerated to cover up certain hard truths...but still, when we attempt to unravel adequately cover our history, we can better understand why people act the way they doour today in order for tomorrow to be

Halima!! Are you an illiterate? No, there is more than meets the eye, discontentment will lead to ingratitude, greed and eventually, madness. And these are the role models and celebrities our youth are crazy about?

Gradually celebrity in naija go soon be synonymous to "Liarbrity"

You made some serious historical assertions that must be supported by references. If you are relying on oral traditions as you claimed, then tell us specifically from whom you heard it from for its acceptability and credibility.. I was interested in further knowledge
Whatever, your fable makes interesting reading.
My dear, I perceive you are a scholar and I want to assume, like I am, you were not constituted in a science laboratory. You have progenitors - an ancestral descent from both sides of your paternal and maternal bearings, please seek them out and ask them questions. If they have become too westernized to provide connecting answers, remember Knowledge is free and boundless, you re also welcome to venture on excursive trips to the villages of ancient Umuahia, Okigwe, Dahomey, Oyo, old Benin and seek the elders who keep oral accounts.

And so while an evil genius is not meant to disclose their sources, I will be magnanimous and refer you to one of my specific oral sources. Visit Epe, and ask for an old man by the name JagboJagbo (I hope he is still alive) - a real life /true African Shaman/babalawo. I lived with his daughters 22 years ago during my GCE odyssey to those parts of Lagos (story for another day) and ask him about the origins of magun or how law and order was maintained without guns and Policemen in pre- colonial Africa.

I want to stress here, a true African scholar may build his foundation on books but he cannot rely on books alone. This is solely on the premise that History has not always been written by those who were the actual actors of the event but by those who had the resources to not only mainstream their perspective but also control the narrative. And so in response, to your desperate need for references, pls look up anything on African/Nigerian history by Obaro Ikime. The ones I particularly refer to are:

1. Groundwork of Nigerian History
2. European conquest and African resistance
3. Peoples and kingdoms of West Africa in the pre-colonial period

(I first read these in the Unilag Library; circa 20 years ago, sorry I cannot give you page numbers and I no longer have my copies but I am sure you will find sth online)

For online references:
4. https://everyevery.ng/magun-for-rapists/
5. https://www.aa.com.tr/en/politics/rape-of-africans-by-europeans-an-ongoing-colonial-habit/138496
6. http://www.reflectionsafricanjewelryllc.com/african-blog/african-waistbeads

Allow me to clarify, I do not just wake up and "arm chair theorize" or fibulate...No Sir... I did my work, with its limitations (my being a woman being one of them and facing that which directly relates to me being my scope of study) perhaps your being a man (I assume) can expand further for us to learn more about our African heritage...

As a digress, Thank you @ Mr Lifestone for rekindling my suspended passion for learning and research

I love your presentation, but without credible referencing, I will only take it as fables and unverified
Spoken by someone who relies solely on Western styled references and books. Allow me to introduce you to an abandoned yet still relevant and, valid account of history, and that is oral accounts of tradition. Our uneducated in Western tradition elders constitute a vast repository of history and heritage. If you spent less time on the internet, and in Oyinbo libraries and dedicated more to listening and asking our village elders questions, perhaps you would be able to decipher fact from fiction.
FashionRe: Ladies, Why Do You Wear Waist Beads? by Ojady(m): 5:51am On Apr 02, 2020
Interesting question and a pointer to how far we are from the traditions of our forefathers and how we have been socialized to view them as evil, as a form of fashion or obsolete. In some cultures, the bead especially around the waist was symbolic - the girl child's status either as the first child, a princess, a virgin, a special child etc It was not fashion,as a matter of fact, when a virgin was raped, she would tear the beads and allow it fall, such that anyone who saw them, knew what was to follow. During the precolonial wars, the Arabs of the Northern parts of modern day Africa called southern Africa " the land of the women with big bottoms" big perhaps accentuated by the colour of the beads and deemed an indicator of the fertility potential of such women - this was why, according to historians, apart from material conquest, the Arabs loved to raid the Southern lands of Africa.

It was these raids that misappropriated the purpose of waist beads that the shamans of our ancestors decided to evolve another use of it and that became the roots of magun (do not climb). As the raids became more daring: bands of marauders initially kidnapping, raping and filling communities with bastards and desecrating the land, to actual conquest - so also the advent of colonialism where our cultural values became materialised and the colonial Lords and those who approved of their ways would avail themselves of women anyhow to sate their lustful pleasures, the bead became a deterrent solution. Desperate fathers, husbands and even some powerful women would lace beads with instant judgement (a typical feature of justice those days)such that if any man was careless enough to get hanky panky without proper rites, the unfortunate fellow, may either not be able to penetrate, may forcibly do so and somersault till he dies, bark like a rabid dog, experience a breakout of scabies, chickenpox, bleed out of his penis hole till he dies etc...Once the cases of such began to multiply, the news began to spread and gradually it became used for anything and anyone.

Nowadays, one cannot just see a woman with a waist bead and assume its fashion, Broda (in Igbo accent) it could be sinister intentions - destiny stealers, home wrecker on the prowl, get in once and you re trapped forever...

First of, the dude is being factual - demon possession is real; a mere look at those eyes tell you for real, he cannot stop unless quarantined. Even worse, the fact he is now a snitch, from Number 2 to snitch bitch, now all the power crazy ones under him will attempt to seize the vacant position.
Moreso, there are "Aiye Xmen" following this post, so also tingos and others monitoring the status quo. If Coronavirus persists Tingos will see this guy's dropping names as a sign and indeed the signal to obliterate aiye for good - consequence - more bloodshed.
Thirdly, was caught and released. By whom? The Police. In a sane society, that is an indictment of the NPF handling the matter. Quite factually, these cultists are actually in the Police Force, and so, the cry of one is a cry for all meaning he will always get out.
Number 4 and critical is this, anything that is not homegrown, we adopt, bastardise and eventually adds to the stink of our shithole cesspool. Omari (Ghost in Power) is a frat member, virtually every made person in a sane society, matter of fact, if you went to college, from your freshman day 1, fraternities would market themselves, bringing you in into their history, their values, current members in society etc once you agreed with their tenets etc, your grades were good, you would pledge to them. Thry would be your family, looking out for you both in and when out of college, hook you up with a job. But in Nigeria, its messed. Some folks here, been yapping 'Dodorima' to the layman, WTF is that. Now dont get me wrong, Fraternities are a noble cause, especially when positive role models are fast being depleted, however, what we have here in Nigeria is a disgrace. The real and true members of NBM should issue a statement, denouncing these kind of nuisance elements
CrimeRe: Friday Ezi Steals 7 Cars At Redemption Camp, Sells In Anambra by Ojady(m): 6:30pm On Mar 29, 2020
Back in the late 90s, when I used to go to camp, I recall one thing I hated the most, was the large gathering of people. People, strangers with different ways, motives and concept of life. Conflict was inevitable - Your bench could be taken from you, 'believers' would refuse to shift to make space for others, manipulation by some of the Pastors with words like "we need you to carry benches from the old auditorium to the new auditorium and THE LORD WILL BLESS YOU AS YOU OBEY IN JESUS NAME" - I mean, if I left my bed in faith to come and spend 6 days; left my house, and watching it on tv, to come sleep in my car and mingle with people who I do not know their level of demon possession or Holy Spirit indwelling; having to monitor my stuff like an alligator watches for swimmers in a lake, to getting carnal (fisticuffs, hisses, arguing etc)while trying to recover one's space etc THERE IS NO WAY, I CANNOT BE BLESSED. My carrying benches does not have to guarantee that. Did David not say, " I will not offer unto God, what has cost me nothing" Anyway, long story short, I hated the crowding.

However, being a sociologist, what I could not help noticing was the poverty and even as the wealthy tried to blend in, the class differentials were evident with pews being demarcated as RESERVED. While the masses, slept on benches or the floor, the whole time, the wealthy ones had houses, rented accommodation where they would retire to after each service. Naturally by the next night, some would look REALLY FRESH, while the bench sleepers would look like NA DIFFERENT GOD DEM COME WORSHIP. The way such "sleep-rough" worshippers looked at the FRESH LOOKING rich WORSHIPPERS like something to eat, one could not but wonder how soon the low class worshippers would soon start perpetrating the deviance as recorded by this chap. He probably didnt start out stealing cars, perhaps petty stuff here and there, and was never caught, and then one day, set out for a big ONE, that is A CAR. He got away with it and never looked back since then. Perhaps, maybe until he started slipping and then Karma being what it is served him.

Now, with the Covid19 revelations of how to do things differently and with more decorum, crimes like this (believe me, this is just one of them)typically evident in such large gatherings, show that gathering in large crowds is fast becoming a harbinger of crime and deviant practices. The warning of God executing judgement and people not heeding that harvest is not timebound is no longer a deterrent. Which suggests strongly that congregating is fast becoming obsolete, moribund and irrelevant. RCCG, The EXPERIENCE, Shiloh etc can stream online, people can still be blessed and the Holy Spirit left to do His Work in persuading them to give willingly and cheerfully.

Ighalo had better use this Man U time raise his value with the Chinese club, or the Arab clubs or any club that will pay more than Man U is offering. Let us not forget, he was brought in simply because, Rashford was injured, Martial was inconsistent and Haland ditched them for Boroussia D at the last minute. His arrival at Man U was not that he was top of the list, it was just to save face in front of the fans and stakeholders to portray them as serious contenders. If Man U extends, good! But Man U has never been loyal, talkless to a Black loanee. Once back to winning ways and their academy boys: Rashford and co return, the way Man U will drop him, no go be for here

I had ran around all day saying all my goodbyes, arranging who got what of all my stuff, shunting through the MM Airport traffic and eventually jammed into the window seat (Economy) of a British Airways flight from Lagos to Heathrow. I was tired and hungry but equally anxious: how e go be? The whole experience for me started from putting my feet on the plane, the courtesy of the BA flight attendants was a hint almost like welcome to the world where things work without connections. They served us a European meal, with a choice of wine, water and juice. Being a newbie, I did not want to miss a thing, so i asked for water and juice. The chap on the aisle and middle seats requested for red wine. They guzzled it and knocked out sleeping all through the flight. On arrival at Heathrow, it was 6 ish am, got my bags and paper map to navigate my way. Unable to make a head or tail of it, I approached this white guy under the assumption 'decent oyinbo guy in suit and oxford scarf' to ask directions. Perhaps, it was my JJC, Akata wannabe look I had, or the size of the map - I will never know ... na so Oyinbo slam me one big isho "I DONT HAVE TIME FOR YOU"

How is that your problem?
How do you threat Blacks here in Nigeria?

Are oil producing ethnic nations not treated like 3rd and 4th class citizens in Nigeria?

If Blacks are mistreated anywhere in the world it is all thanks to the failed society called Nigeria.

Black unemployment has dropped under Trump.

What else do you guys want?
In case you don't know, it was Trump's plane that was used for Mandela's tour of America shortly after he was released from prison.
"How is that...?"
1. First of, it is not my - It is our problem. Why? Cause first he calls Nigeria a shithole, not long after the Nigerian C in C visits, smiling and acting like he was not the one being referred to. No 2, Chump is only banning countries where he holds no business interest. The guy who recently carried out a terrorist attack on a military base was a Saudi Arabian, Chump did not ban Saudis... Like I said, he is just starting and he is a voice. Last week, white supremacist groups gathered in Virginia, despite all the outcry to register their presence in American society - to let us all know, they re going no where, their patron is in the White House. Chump spits on the blood of those who fought to build the country, through his rash and lack of control, he will drag the world into a third World war, force powerless countries to take sides, threatening a lily livered President like ours (with sanctions) to take sides and supply men to fight a war, we did not start. THEN IT WILL BE TOO MUCH OF A PROBLEM FOR ANY OF US TO DISOWN

"How do you threat Blacks here in Nigeria?"
I agree, Black on Black maltreatment, or should I say, Nigerian to Nigerian oppression is worse... majority of Nigerian (In Government or Not) are laying beds with spikes, shards of broken bottles and nails, sadly, these ignorant ones, know not that not only will the innocent suffer the pain of lying on it, but also their children's children. One cannot but feel pity for the children and the generations to come who will carry that name 'Nigerian'. Today, Nigerian is the most vilified, despised and disrespected specie of blacks Universe wide.

Are oil producing ethnic nations not treated like 3rd and 4th class citizens in Nigeria?
My Dear, after Northerners, the citizens of the Niger Delta are second in terms of individuals studying abroad on Scholarships worldwide. This has been my observation, while Jonathan was incumbent and perhaps reduced now, under GMB. My concern is, If all these graduates of Niger-Delta extract cannot and have not come back to better the lot of their home or demand better from the current Nigerian arrangement, then, if Nigeria were to disintegrate, the issue of 3rd or 4th class citizen is not the major problem of the Niger-Delta people

"If Blacks are mistreated ..."-
Indeed, Nigeria has failed and the only way now is for the country to split. YES! the current arrangement is not working. The British left Europe, cause it was no longer beneficial. What the Igbos, Hausas and others need to do, is to start relocating their resources back home to their villages of descent. Each group has the intellectual, economical etc manpower to replicate Lagos in their region. If the Politicians will not initiate the needful, the industrialists, intellectuals, bankers can initiate it for them. Let us not look at the cost of such seperation and continue to do ourselves great harm.

'Black unemployment ...." -
That is very untrue. Perhaps, in terms of underemployment, that is working in a warehouse, driving trucks etc. The number of blacks in American prisons are astronomically high and still growing. How many CEOs are black? How many black owned businesses make the Forbes 100

What else do you guys want? We dont want what we cannot give ourselves... that is Pride and Progress

See Nigerians happy because Trump was acquitted? Very myopic set of people. It is no coincidence he succeeded the best, non scandal, and the last of the Best Presidents to ever trod the White House. This chump is only about white people, he is an epitome of white supremacy - he has never hid it, he knows that, there are millions and millions of closet white supremacists like him in AmeriKKKA and has decided to not only be their voice but also make himself money doing so. How many of you pro Chumps know that Golden boy is of German stock, the kind who view whites as superior and should be first NO MATTER WHAT to every other race, most of all THE BLACK RACE; THAT he is just starting? By the time he is done with America, America will be brought to her knees, her citizens will be spat at and he will be the bigot that will be remembered for bringing America to her knees... SportsRe: #Oleout Trends After Manchester United's 2-0 Home Defeat To Burnley by Ojady(m): 9:37pm On Jan 23, 2020
The problem with United is the fact that they are refusing to move with the times. Gone are the days when 4 English and majority players on a team MUST AND SHOULD BE WHITE! Manchester City and Liverpool already proving that. English boys alone cannot and will not bring that spark that United requires on the field. What exactly is Shaw still doing in United, he should be playing for Cardiff City. Rashford is spontaneous and promising, yes! but his shoulders are not yet experienced enough to carry United during crunch time. Maguire? who doesnt know that stars in their previous clubs, do not right away, replicate such at United (let him go ask Lukaku) Now, the Pogba saga probably has left a bad taste in their mouths, however, risks are part of Management. They should take a loss, sell the mofo, thank Ole for his time, hire a coach who a.) the boys will have to respect or GTFOH like a Guardiola or b.)a People Mgr like Klopp who can individually bring out the best in each player WITH TIME. Focus on little little achievements like winning FA cup abi na Caraboa even beating small clubs well well. Solskjaer is not as reputable experience wise, his clout is such that a player will not think twice, before refusing to play for him or the team he represents. Imagine Raiola is giving Man United conditions and ultimatums. It is a reflection of the disreputable state United has degenerated to. Those in Ole's class are managing at best, teams on the 8 to 20th position on the table not above. He is good but not great
FamilyRe: Mother Snatches Her Daughter's Husband, Then Gives Birth For Him In London by Ojady(m): 3:29am On Jan 23, 2020
What will one not find with these oyinbo people? Their fathers were not like this o! Their fathers sought to improve theirs and their children's lives but now, these children are literally going insane. They hide insanity and the wrath of God under neo-civilization and economically trap African nations and their citizens into following suit. Now you hear abominable utterances from a full grown man like Bobrisky saying "somebody dey challenge am to dress and behave like a woman", absurdities like getting pregnant out of wedlock, men sleeping with men and women too, People going through sex change saying I am a woman/man inside irrespective of my phallus/mammary glands. My people, hell is upon us and I will not be surprised if like they brought us 'civilization' they will bring us World war 3 that we know nothing about, contributed nothing to yet will suffer the most for in consequences
Foreign AffairsRe: How The British Press Reported On Meghan And Harry by Ojady(m): 4:06am On Jan 21, 2020
First of all Sir, everyone who monitors the media knows that the Dailymail is the most unreliable, biased and pro-white supremacy online news to ever look to, in terms of objective news reporting, as a matter of fact, the only thing they are good for is a feel of how British people think or feel about a person, an event or anything. Also worthy of note is the fact that Piers Morgan once had a date with Meghan that did not end up as Piers would have liked, that is between the sheets with Meghan. And while poor Piers was expecting some kind of props from Meghan after that, Meghan, discovering Piers was not her type, had since then given him a cold shoulder, something a typical pompous and arrogant British will not have.

Please ignore that useless online paper, biko!
RomanceRe: When She Promises To Come Over But Refuses To Show Up by Ojady(m): 2:38am On Jan 14, 2020
Bruh, then you go pick her up, i mean, whatever happened to chivalry.
If you re Hot enough to get the stage set, surely you must be able to go the extra mile of sending her an uber , hoping in your car to go pick her up. Moreso, how are you sure, her "red robots' did not just sure up after agreeing to come see you...
RomanceRe: What Do You Dislike On A First Date? by Ojady(m): 4:27am On Jan 07, 2020
It can go both ways:
FOR HER:
1. She brings a friend. (Gurl, He is not running a charity for hungry friends)
2. She is on her phone. (Very unladylike)
3. She orders the most expensive, never tried item on the menu. (It shows just how cheap you are and sets you up to be asked for a payback - kiss/smooch/sex/rape)
4. She slurps and acts gluttonous on the meal (He is a prospect not your father)
5. She insists on takeaways (Gurl are you really that poor)
6. She has nothing valuable to talk about (past accomplishments, future goals, current objectives etc) rather, she knows how much that phone is, that lace wig, etc
7. She is known and greets or greeted by more than 2 different men while on the date with you (actually leaving you to speak with them without an awareness of brevity)
8. She wants to come home with me
9. She wants to be noticed and claiming Girlfriend rather than date status

FOR HIM:
1. He expects affectionate display on a first date.
2. He expects to pay for everything and get a hug/kiss/sex at the end of the date.
3. He shows off his material and intellectual level instead of being himself.
4. He is rude to the conductor, waiter etc (to impress me)
5. He is Ogling other gals while with me
6. He talks too much about himself (remember the line in Big Poppa where Biggie says "... I just creep up from behind And ask what your interests are, who you be with Things to make you smile, what numbers to dial...You gon' be here for a while...)
7. He is late, does not apologize, acts like "Its no big deal".
8. He is disrespectful by hugging and talking to other women while on our date.
9.) He does not allow me, at least, pay for something (the water, 20percent of the meal, something)
10.) He does not ensure I get home safe.

I mean the things to dislike (red flags) on a first date are many (if you re not looking for free food if you are a girl) or (sex if you re a guy)

Back then, women covered up, knew what/who they wanted, dared not keep 2 at a time, although not from rich homes, gals back then, really cared (slay or not) that is why a number of them got married and stayed married.

Now, it is such a mess!
