The way I-invest works is that it pulls all the different opportunities (Eurobond, TB, Commercial paper, Fixed deposit) in one place for you to chose from. All of them with different rates and duration. It is now left for you to select which one you want to invest in. Considering how good I think they are, I think they do a bad job blowing their trumpet. locodemy: What's the minimum period of investment? |

The promise was to have a single currency so that both rich and poor will get at a single rate. Not that the rich will get at 419 naira and regular folks get at 775 naira.
As long as everyone gets it at the same rate, then we can now know the real level of the dollar.

You spent around 3.5million and made around 7.1 million like this so. Profit of around 4 million. How long did you hold if I may ask? If you bought Zenith bank at around 30 naira and consistently get a dividends of 3 naira, it will take 16 years to achieve this. Now I understand why folks sometimes take risk like this with these penny stocks. Nice one kolaish: With due respect, I think you and others should stop trolling @locodemy. He has done well for himself and for all that followed him, if any. You mean someone advised you to buy a stock when it was between 25k and 40k and you are so frail that you did not exit the stock after 100% return. Are we kids here?
I bought 3m units of japaul at around 33k when I made comments about Japaul here and added another 6m units @40k making my average price 37k, I exited at 85k. That gain is fair enough for me. I like getting out of a stock when the door is wide open and the ovation loudest with pump and pageantry.
Summary
Please and please, if you are following someone, do not wait for the person to tell you to exit when you have met your target, because that person would have sold before coming to tell you here, just as he bought before telling you to buy.

Sorry, how did you arrive at this? I do not think this is corre t Deadlytruth: Stanbic's OS is just 10bn while Zenith's and GTCO's are each in the neighborhood of 33bn if not even more. So the relative scarcity of Stanbic coupled with the high EPS both occasioned by that low OS explains the gap you see between it and those two. Stanbic also pays higher dividend per share that each of Zenith and GTCO. |

Disclaimer: I only skimmed through, so most of what I understand from this is from the headline, which in my experience can be misleading.
However, I believe Nigeria custom should just impose an export duty on the fuel and let it be a source of revenue for the country rather than try to stop, since we no longer have subsidy for fuel.
That way Nigeria and marketers make money also. These our neighbors must have really run us dry all these years then, if at this present rates many Nigerians are complaining, how come the fuel is still attractive to our so called poorer neighbors? |
Politics › Re: Flowchart To Explain INEC Process by ojesymsym: 12:42pm On Jul 05, 2023 |
I just looked at your diagram again and I can see your diagram is actually correct, it was me who was mistaken. Perhaps because you put the trigger point at the top and not on the left. My apology ImperialYoruba: Thanks for clarifying.
All individuals come to vote, those registered and those not registered. A decision of eligibility has to be a part of the process, it is a filter. So the decision point represent the fact.
Edited However, BVAS accreditation is the beginning of the process. Accreditation is the filter, the human is the enforcer.
Say I walk in and gave pvc, they scan and Im not returned as a voter. BVAS has already filtered me out. But BVAS cannot stop me from casting ballot. The enforcer has to direct me away, and that is what that decision point does, visually.
Thanks. |

I believe you mistook my comment for being political. No, I was admiring your process flow and only made a professional suggestion on how to improve it. I was not being involved that much in the political talk. ImperialYoruba: Decision point is directly below the statement box, you are incorrect for calling it the starting point.
The flow is concerned with the contention over data, not candidate eligibility.
Irev is just a mirror of bvas. If the mirror failed to reflect the object, then go to the object and inspect if its data matches EC8.
Debating transmission, whether manual or electronic, is only technical. When you transmit something it means you changed its state and gave it a new state or dimensional value. Its a technicality for legal argument because the dimensional does not alter originality in the object data itself.
So if the volume of data in BVAS and EC8 is 10million, whether you transmit the BVAS info to server or not, whether you upload to irev or not, the 10million does not change. To validate the accuracy you go to source - BVAS and EC8.
All these fanciful jibberish about transmission and upload and Irev and server is bojuboju...na smokescreen.
What i presented in this flowchart gives clarity to those who know and have followed tribunal and petitions. |
Politics › Re: Flowchart To Explain INEC Process by ojesymsym: 5:09pm On Jul 04, 2023 |
Very nice try, please use a software to generate it again.
You started the process map with a decision point, instead start with something like, Candidate present self for verification. Also the error is not even between C and D, it is only on part of D. The upload to INEC server may have worked, it is the iREV upload that has been confirmed not to have worked in real time.
Nice one |

I believe it is more than corruption, It is also a question of competency. I say that because even when people manage their business themselves, they barely break even. Maybe we should start considering doing our MBAs in Asia emmanuelewumi: Current return on equity is 30%.
Average 5 years return on equity prior to the coming of the current CEO was 8%.
Corruption, Corruption, Corruption.
When the current CEO came on board and started blocking loopholes, workers went on strike.
Someone said something about an average Nigerian few days.
Start a business and employ an average Nigerian to see what they can do to your business and life savings.
There is a reason why Dangote, Adenuga, Rabiu are more comfortable employing foreigners into sensitive positions. |

E go soon enter 50, e go soon enter 50 naira, na so I take watch Okomu move from that your 75 naira to over 200 now. I do have the small units bout around 35 naira though. DonDraper: I felt bad after I bought Okomu Oil at N90 because I missed it at N75. The feeling got worse when tales of when the share price was N5 were told. In the market, the longer you hold the higher you chances of doing well as long as the business does well. Price doesn't matter too much as longer as it is below the intrinsic value. Some thoughts today as the market recalibrates:
1. What is the intrinsic value of GTCo? 2. Is it above N35? 3. If I buy at N35 what should I do so I don't feel awful when it drops to N20? 4. What should I do with the cash gift I just received? Wait for pull back? Go all in as time in the market is better than timing the market?

This strategy is like a trap, you can find yourself locked out. There are a number of times I have tempted to sell my Zenith shares but the fear of being locked out has always hampered me. Ades1: Don't forget that most of the people here throwing tantrums like little kids are only doing that because they sold their stocks just before markdown, because they were so SURE prices will come down after markdown. You and I know how the story unfolded after that.
No one knows for sure what direction the market will go.
They come here to preach how they consistently time the market to perfection every time without proof.
Slow and steady wins this race, I have been replenishing my savings in this euphoria, patiently waiting for that pullback or generational low. |
