Its okay to clear your doubts - When you get to that stage after answering all the questionnaires, each section will indicate what you should upload based on your responses. You just need to follow the instructions then upload other relevant documents merged in one single document in the client section.

But, let the letters i.e. ( letter of intent, invitations letters etc) as it applies to you be the first thing the VO would see

Here is my full gist.

I landed in Canada in April and hubby applied for visit visa for himself and our 3 year old daughter in March before I left Nigeria. He updated his profile with my SIN and ID Card via webforms when i got to Canada in April. The plan was for them to come for summer vacation, but after about 2 months of no update on his dashboard, we started sending mails and webforms to Nairobi, our first GCMS note came out in June with no major development on our application aside from criminality passed in March, then I contacted MP. The feedback was the same as the GCMS note and that it's still within processing time, that nothing can be done , so we should stil wait it out. We continued to send mails and webforms and at a time hubby sent mails to all the visa office emails he could find here (about 50+ of them) still, only few responded that he should direct any enquiry or webform to where our application was being processed (Nairobi).

All through the process, we continued in prayer and thanksgiving relentlessly.
Last month i contacted another MP after the first MP became unresponsive. He spoke to IRCC on our behalf and told us that, our application was just with other routine application and nothing major is going on with it, that also there is backlog with the processing office, he put in an escalation request, and 2 days later, they requested for consent letter. A week later we received our PPR......Glory be to God forever more. GOD came through on time for us. I return all thanks and Glory to Him, for Jesus never fails.

Detailed LOE/SOP (about 4 pages)
POF (Bank statements, with mybankstatement tickets) and explanation of major money movement in and out of the accounts.
Travel History: He has been to the Uk twice and the US twice in the past 7yrs, but our last application to Canada and US in 2019 were both refused.

PFA Statement
Financial investments
Vehicle Proof of ownerships
Introductory letter from office
Leave Letter
Marriage Cert....

In All, my advice from our experience: No two applications are the same, there are different factors, different history, and different cases, but You have only one major job to do as an applicant, convince the VO on three grounds, and rememeber only you can tell your story passionately.
You need to think as a VO and convince them that
1)You are financially capable
2)You have hometimes: i.e what draws you back to your home country is greater than an uncertain beginning in Canada, you have to prove this either by, family back home, a thriving biz or Job, social engagement, and may be evidence that you have never breached Immigration laws in the past.
3)You are a bona-fide visitor, student, or whatever you have applied for.

Lastly and Firstly, commit everything in God's hand, ask him for guidance and Favour, and even if you don't get it, seek for his direction again and reapply.
May the Lord grant all those wating for their PPR sooner than they expect it .

Quick question for anyone that have invited their parents to attend their graduation in canada. Did you upload your letter of completion of graduation letter? Which document did you use to show your graduation timeline?

You can upload your letter of completion if you have it. But if you are yet to complete your final exams and have all your grades released and approved by your faculty, then you might not be able to secure a letter of completion yet.

Additionally, you can get a “TO WHOM LETTER” from your faculty for graduation invitation purposes. That letter should state the date you are expected to graduate and the name of your guest documented on the letter. Inform your faculty or programme officer that you need such a letter. They know how to draft it.

Furthermore, you can also write a confirmation of invitation letter to affirm you are inviting the guest mentioned above, and you explain the arrangement you have made for the duration of their stay in terms of accommodation and living.

I applied for the visa through an agent and i dont have any travel history during the application. So i decided to go on a week holiday to Dubai to atleast build my application. Now i am requesting the agent to send the stamped passport through webform but he has not been responding.

I also included my landed property but agents is saying they are not necessary.

Please, send the evidence of landed property and the Dubai stamp via webform if you know the email that was submitted with the application. Your thoughts are valid.

You would need to fill the email address that was submitted with the application. All responses and update would be sent to the email the agent used to apply. That is the e-mail IRCC agents would recognize.

Note that your agent will no longer have access to your account anymore as a result of this activity. You would be asked to fill a form disassociating yourself from the agent and submit along the process.

The intention to give birth in Canada does not represent a violation that would lead to a refusal as long as you can proof you meet all the requirements' for a temporary resident visa. You can state this as your intent. You may just need to work on:

• Home Tie: An example could be proof of your maternity leave from your workplace as a proof you would be returning home back to your job.
• Financial: Proof that you have the financial capability to cover your expenses for the period of stay inclusive of medical expenses.
• Medical report evidence in case there has been pre-existing medical conditions or complications in the past that necessitates your desire to give birth in a safe country with the best medical care to ensure the safety and life of the mother and unborn child.
• You can draft a letter of Intent and state your purpose of visit there. Make it look convincing that you genuinely want the best of medical care for your safety.

Just make sure you work on home ties back to Nigeria since the husband is in Canada.

No worries, bro. Your portal is good. The information under applicant information is the first test to determine if IRCC has received your biometric data.

The remark on your portal that says “ we are yet to receive your biometrics” does not change immediately after biometrics capturing for some applicants until the immigration authorities have completed sharing your information with their migration partners. After which, it would now change to “ Biometrics Completed.”

You will see this change later on your portal as your application progresses.

Check under applicant information: Is your biometric number, date of biometrics and expiry date reflecting on your profile?

I have done some quick research as promised into some of those conversations on Canada Student Thread also did my independent check on IRCC. Hepatitis B was not listed among the infectious disease checked. I don't see any documentation on IRCC that they check for this particular ailment.

Yes, I understand, and I would still give the same response. There is no hard and fast rule to drafting your letter of intent or purpose of visit to the Consulate. You need to demonstrate to the visa officer that you meet all the criteria for approval.

One clue would be to itemise all the requirements for a visit visa and address them section by section. (Check IRCC web for their requirements). Then conclude this by giving your firm commitment to abide by the rule and regulations of Canada as it relates to your visa conditions to returning to your home country immediately after the authorised period of stay.

You can sign-off on it if you want.

The response is simply informing you that they do not require any additional information from you and all documents received from you will be added to your file. We cant tell if it implies speedy processing of the application. The personnel who sends these correspondence to applicants is a different unit from the ones who does the actual visa processing.

The truth is no one can tell you when decision would taken since we are not privy to their internal workings. The process with Canada application comes with lots of patience. I know it can be tiring. The documents that can give you a clue if your application is at advanced stage are:

1. Your GCMS notes records

2. When your eligibility review has started and this is being reflected on your IRCC portal.

You can keep sending periodic reminders to IRCC via webform regardless that they have responded to you.

I don't think you will find a ready-made of such online. You need to do an official response letter and sectionalise each refusal grounds and explain the change in your situation or what you have done differently to be eligible in that criteria. You can still take some clues from those posted online for study permits.

I can try to find time to put some guides together and paste it here if I get the chance.

Are you referring to letter of explanation for Student visa. Letter of Explanation for student visa is mostly common with applicants who have been refused and applying again. See this video below. I think this guy did justice on how to draft letter of explanation. You can adjust to your situation but avoid PLAGIARISM

For visit visa, he does not need. The officer may just ask for letter of authorization from his dad giving his consent to travel with you since he is till a minor but depends on the officer.

The amount of cash to travel with is dependent on your situation. Your responses at the port of entry would have to speak to what you declared when you applied for the visa. That being the basis, you have been approved. That means the officer is satisfied with the amount you declared to be expensed for your planned two-week stay.

You would need to demonstrate to the officer that you have XXXX cash, which would be accessible for your visit. You know better what amount was declared and how much you intend to come with. You need to prepare your response in case you are asked.

The most important thing is defending it and convincing the officer that the amount would be assessable to you if this is entirely in your bank card, but I think you should have some in physical cash. However, physical cash of 10,000 dollars and above would need to be declared at the port of entry.

It depends on your responses when you were filling your application. That's mostly what CBSA look at when they ask questions. Also, sometimes CBSA can throw the question " How much do you have with you" you cant say , I don't have any money so better to have some cash either gotten through PTA or black market.

You can keep building your ties in Canada like a job and try to apply again during your leave period. That would be strong evidence you are returning back to your job in Canada. I think you should give a little time before you apply again

You can submit your passport in the United States. You can choose to either sent this to Canada Visa Application Centre in New York or Los Angeles. Both locations are good but i would advise you use Los Angeles.

The below is just to give you an idea of the process if you are sending your passport in the United States for stamping.

NOTE: You still need to send CVAC an email so they can send you the specific instructions to start the process.

If you are located in the United States of America and have received the passport request letter from IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada), to send it by courier to the New York or Los Angeles CVAC (Canada Visa Application Centre), and receive it back, you will have to pay the two-way courier service with VFS Global.

This is mandatory for each passport. No other form of passport delivery and return will be accepted.

A new system has been implemented for you to obtain your two-way Courier. This will allow you to avail the labels in faster and efficient manner.

Once you complete the process, you will be able to print the FedEx label (addressed from you to the VAC). The label for the returning of your documents will be created locally at the CVAC.

Once you have obtained your label, prepare your package, including the following:

1. The passport request letter you received from IRCC.
2. Your contact information, including your email, phone number and return address.

• Short Message Service (SMS) (per Applicant) – $2.50 USD (Optional).
Once your package is prepared, you may drop it off at the FedEx office of your choice. It is recommended to use a padded envelope to mail your documents and make sure it is thoroughly sealed.

N:B: The above is just to give you an idea of how their process work in the USA if you are to send your passport there. Please send an e-mail to: info.canny@vfshelpline.com. once you arrive the USA.

When I did it for my parents, the passport was returned back in less than 2 weeks. Just to give you an estimate.
