I looked around the entire country and there was nothing on ground to justify the trillions of annual budgets and revenues for the whole of 5.5yrs.
Despite budgeting about N1trillion for 4 consecutive years on defence, Bokoharam became more powerful than our military, seizing more of our country almost throughout your tenure. We all knew that massive corruption in your govt was responsible for all of that.
But for an Ogogoro drinking Buffoon like you, the US and other western countries are responsible for your defeat. Non performance isn't important for reelection provided you can share dollars in envelopes to "those that matter".

They are comparing to Venezuela because it is an oil-producing nation, but there are many other oil-producing nations managing their economies as best as they can so why do we have to compare ourselves to the worst? Should our standards be that low?

I read just a few days ago that their inflation was 700%, is that the kind of country to use as a yardstick? I think not.

Norway is bliss to live in, great standard of living too, I doubt if the oil price crash had much impact on them. But as you rightly pointed out, in terms of population, it's such a small country.

Sorry if I may interrupt even though modath will provide a comprehensive answer. What the CBN and FG should be doing is spending on long term goals/assets that will project this country on sustainable growth. Critical sectors like power, infrastructure (road/housing), agriculture(food production, storage, security), solid minerals (processed), etc which are seriously lagging behind needs this intervention. Even though FG is working on fixing some part of infrastructure, others still remain a far cry from reality. Until we address this situation, FG will just be postponing the remaining part of economic backlash pretending as if they are working via dollars pumping. What if the price of oil drops to $40 tomorrow?

Like i have told you & will continue to reiterate, let CBN allow cards usage across all banks for just one week & we'll see if the voodoo "appreciation" yansh won't be exposed....
