This can only be a topic in a failed country like Nigeria where seaports in Warri, PH and Calabar don't function due to various stupid reasons.

If what you said is acceptable about cargos beingn a priority,do you think it would still have been more logical reconstructing Lagos-kano from old gauge to standard gauge while leaving the lagos- Calabar which has no existing old nor new line(not forgetting the fact that old gauge is still mainly still usable for Cargo and standard is for passengers train because of speed??),will it not be better leaving the old one for kano to operate and start a construction of of coastal aLagos-calabar one(putting in mind that the SE and SS ports were intentionally made to only encourage oil and agro exports and not import?

Two friends of mine one from SE and the other from North central brought an argument to me recently and i decided to throw it open to a wider intelligent audience about Lagos-kano and Lago_calabar rail line so i can arrive at my answer.When looking at the following factors:Economic,Financial,Tourism , Historical ,Administrative and social-cultural benefit accrued to the execution of these projects and the present factor at play of one already having an old gauge.

There is paucity of fund to face Both at a go,you can only execute one at a time ,which do you think should be executed first between Lagos-kano and Lagos-calabar route.

I was in your shoes some 7 years ago; was earning over 300k but had absolutely no love for my job.
It was also difficult for me to look for another job because I was working offshore and could barely attend job interviews.
I saved enough money and decided move to Europe for my masters instead of losing more years, gaining experience in something I didn't want to continue with.
I'm happy I took that decision.

Yes we do. Different countries call it differently.
It's called Central Business District (CBD) in Nigeria, Australia; City Centre in Europe; and Downtown in North America.
Lagos Island is the CBD of Lagos, Abuja has a CBD as well; while other cities in Nigeria develop haphazardly.

I once talked about the grading system in Norway some time ago on this thread.
For the records, A is 90-100; B is 80-89; C is 60-79; D is 50-59; E is 40-49; and below 40 is F.

For language, bokmal or nynorsk are about the same Norwegian language but different dialects. Bokmal is more commonly taught to everyone especially learners.

For post study jobs, it seems most people want a clairvoyant to tell them that they will or not be able to find jobs after masters in Norway. No one has such powers as everyone's fate is different, just as times and economic situations are also different.
For the records, the rate at which they employ foreigners is less than that of Norwegians and EU citizens.
If you find a job after studying, good luck; else, move to another country. Simple!

Hey guys, this is my first time visiting the romance section in my 7-8 years of being on Nairaland. I just thought I share my thoughts on what love actually means to me based on research and experience.

The first half of 2020 has taught me a lot, top of the list is what love is and what it's not.

Love is not what you feel towards someone, but what you see about someone - their personality traits which includes general character, kindness of heart, sense of humour, their future goals and lastly looks.
I feel people don't understand this, that's why they say stuff like..."I love him but he lies a lot".
No you don't love him because las las, the lies will break up that love you claimed to feel.
Love is practical and not emotional. The emotions only come after you agree with a person's personality traits.
You can't love someone if you have any serious reservations about their personality. Else, try having feelings for someone with a bad character and see how long before your relationship/marriage packs up.

About marriage, it's never something you do because you are of age or you have a job, a conducive apartment, enough money, pressure from someone or friends to get married, etc.
You get married because you've found the right person - the person with the right personality traits that suits you, and yours suits him/her as well. It has to be mutual. And because no one is perfect, if you have any reservations about a person's personality, they have to be the kinds that are negligible or can be tolerated. Anything short of that will most likely lead to wrong marriage and consequently separation.

Go to the bank and tell them you want to invest in their mutual funds. They'll open an account for you, transfer your money to your mutual fund account where you can track your daily interest payments.

Ignore those earlier responses based on assumptions. I lived in Norway so I know better.
No house is built without foundation or on wooden foundations.
All the houses have concrete foundations while wood is then used on the body and the floors of the house.
You don't see the concrete foundations because basements are standard parts of a house in cold climates, so the foundation is usually underground.

Having lived and interacted with blacks, whites, asians in different countries and continents; I can tell you without mincing words that there's a big difference between the mentality of an average white and an average black person.
This difference is the reason SA is by far the most industrialised and developed country in Africa.

While the average white man is interested in creating working systems for all, building his society and leaving good legacies behind that make the world a better place; the average black man is GREEDY and only interested in amassing wealth (including ill-gotten and stolen public funds) and leaving financial legacies behind for his generations.

If you think that black South Africans are so unique to have developed and industrialised the country, then you must be living in a fool's paradise. Simply look at the state of your neighbours, Zimbabwe, who chased out the whites and ended up in ruins.
Also look at how black SA govts have fared since taking over: looting of public funds, worsening economy that has spent so much time in recession, inability to manage electricity that used to be constant, etc.
I've met several white South Africans who have relocated to Europe, North America and Australia, and their reasons stated were exactly what I've always known as stated above. One just moved with her husband and three kids to Canada last Saturday.

So the next time you guys want to to brag about SA, remember that you would have just been another underdeveloped African country if your racial composition wasn't distinct from the rest of the continent.

Na frustrated admission seekers and ethnic champions full Nairaland now. This is just the Abuja light rail that runs within the city. There's also the Abuja-Kaduna standard gauge rail that has been operating since 2016.
While the rail lines from Warri-Itakpe and Lagos-Ibadan have been completed and are already in use with stations currently being built.

What is common in Nigeria is that most women who like to depend on a man's money are into rolling eyes and tongue in front of the camera for Snapchat and Instagram, make up like their life depends on it; are usually the dumb girls who can hardly hold a good conversation.
While the independent-minded women who are usually busy trying to get their lives going forward and barely care about these slaying traits, usually are the smart ones.
Now from my experiences, I can guarantee you that the former are by far in the majority in Nigeria.
