Don't panic, document the confession of that cousin boy in(audio/video). This is to avoid denial either from him or anyone tomorrow. Don't involve the police yet, he is your kin, though a very bad one. Return him back to were he came from and expose him so as to save other Innocent children. Your son must be counseled and reorientated by a professional counselor as well as you and your husband. Make sure you don't hide it from your husband. Sorry about your pain, it's all well. |

Hello Elders on Nairaland. I called my son on the landline at home ( I am a state away from the house) but I heard my him crying profusely on the phone. After several seconds calming him down to know what the problem was, he told his sister slapped her. I ask him to give the phone to the sister so as to know the reason. She told me that the she slaped him because he was close to her while she was about to pick the call. That their mum told her her she should not be closed to her brother except her sister and vice versa. My question is that is it right for mom to create that gender disparity and awareness among children of less than 8 years old? 1 Like |

The reason is purely economical. Leather, which is animal skin is used in making a wide varieties of product like bags, shoes, belts, wallets, wrist watches, e.t.c, to mention but few. These products will earn the economy more than 100 times foreign exchange than devouring the skin in the form of ponmo would.
