bamboocha: i still don't get it.... the Rotary Club is ocult or not? do you have to participate to a ritual/ take a oath? i know that they are "concerned" about the community and "humanitarism", but what is the root of the club?Rotary club is a humanitarian service club. Please browse the internet. There is no secret oath and not everything has to be blood. |
According to the bible Adam was created in the image and likeness of God. this means man is Godlike. What was God testing in Adam?if something is manufactured and the manufacturer carried out a test and find out that a particular area of his work is faulty would he not correct it? Why didn't God correct the fault he found in Adam instead he got angry and threw him out the garden.
Have you truly sat down to read Genesis very well. So you want to tell me you believe that a snake was talking to a man and actually deceiving him. Do you? |
Well done esere for pointing out clearly the reality of religion. It is good you experienced them first hand and now you can never be confused or deceived again. I almost gave up attending the university because of religion back when I was in the university (thank God I did not). True salvation is not experienced by sitting down on a sunday sermon and listening to your so called MOG. You have to experience it, you have to feel it, only then would you truly be saved. Not by repetition of some crammed words of a MOG. Look deep into yourself, the very answer you seek is there. Do not look at your MOG, he cannot save you because he is even yet to save himself. Our Goal to know God can truly be answered, for when the student is ready, the master appears. |
Richfella: This is a somewhat dicey subject.GBAM!!! 100x |
Obasanjo do not need to twist his face. Sighting him alone would make the organisers issue the $10,000 to him |
You are a busy body. Go get a life. I believe you even dated the guy concerned. Tagging him every where. |
While all searchlights are focused on the Federal Govt., most state governors are having a field day engaging in unrestrained looting. While we won't stop criticising the inept leadership at the Federal level, always remember that the state governors are even worse, they who are supposed to bring the dividend of democracy to the grassroots are the ones consolidating the poverty and wretchedness of the helpless masses.. Our enemies aren't all in Abuja, most of them are in our states, these compete with those at the federal level to impoverish and enslave those they're supposed to lead. Hold ALL YOU LEADERS ACCOUNTABLE!!!
The Federal Government has never been the enemy. They have always delivered by providing "FEDERAL ALLOCATION" to states on a monthly basis. These allocations, include internally generated revenue, should have been used to provide infrastructure. However, our attention, which is principally normal has been diverted to the President and our Governors are hiding and looting away these funds. |
davidylan: the arguments get even more ridiculous. Take the kids to burger king? Yeah what a wonderful way to build a father-child bond.Excellent comment. I believe that is what the man is waiting for. If I am the man I will do the same. Why play into the hands of a witch. Her stupidity will be publicly known and my kids will suddenly realize how wicked their mother is. |
@uju what is your problem? Do you have a reading problem or you are part of the low life nairalanders who always want to pick a fight for no reason. Even the OP who is more related to the woman is not happy with the way things are going. The man is simply wise. He has seen the hand writing on the wall. Why fight a battle and lose when you know you can avoid it. Jail is where the woman wants the man to end up in and knowing his wife, he is trying to avoid that. When you know someone is trying to bring you down, why play their own game. |
anulaxad:I don't see how your comment on corruption is reflected on wealth generation for the country. Corruption does not stop the country from generating revenue. However, corruption can impede development. Especially when the money, supposed to be used for infrastructural development are diverted to personal coffers. |
Corruption has nothing to do with infrastructure development in the country. China is corrupt, India is corrupt, and also brazil. However, these countries are thriving. Our own problem is innovative and intelligent leaders with business sense to drive our economy. |
I Hate 9ja: @ Op............hear wat dey say......but dont do wat dey do........say's the bible. This comment is as a result of too much Nollywood |
How come God does not speak to you but he speaks to your pastor?
Thank you. God does not speak to anybody. They should stop this deceit. People this is 2013 for christ-sake while wont you all learn |
musiwa11: the church is now rule by the devil. most of this churches are ordain children of the devil as pastors.. mostly this mega churches because of money and desire of some of them to buy private . so they lie to the women and deceive them to leave their homes. And they are wasting the womb of this women because they want them to pay for their private jet, that they cant afford. they cant afford this private jet they are buying, it involve parking, etc..Certainly, there is need for a commission to check the excessiveness of these men claiming to be prophets or men of God. Also, people should wake up spiritually and to know that they are not different from their religious leader. Our women must put an end to their stupidity in believing everything from their pastors. How can a grown up woman strip naked for a man who isn't her boy friend or husband. I just cannot believe it. |
Very sad indeed. Women and their vulnerability to pastors |
The Japanese government has approved a fresh 10.3 trillion yen ($116bn; £72bn) stimulus package in an attempt to spur a revival in its economy. The package will include infrastructure spending, as well as incentives for businesses to boost investment. Tokyo estimates that the stimulus will boost Japan's economy by 2% and create 600,000 jobs. Japan's economy has been hurt by a dip in exports amid slowing global demand and subdued domestic consumption. The world's third-largest economy is currently in a recession, having contracted for two quarters in a row. "Unfortunately, the previous administration failed to work out how to boost growth and expand the economic pie," Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said. "It is vital that we have an economic strategy that can create jobs and raise incomes to sustain growth." Included in the spending package are plans to rebuild areas devastated by the earthquake and tsunami of 2011, support for regional economies, and more investment in education and social security. Weaker currency Mr Abe, who took office in December, has promised to take aggressive measures to help put the economy back on a growth track. Among those has been a pledge to take measures to weaken the yen. A weaker Japanese currency bodes well for the country's exporters as it makes their goods less expensive to foreign buyers and also helps boost their profits when they repatriate their foreign earnings back home. The yen has weakened nearly 12% against the US dollar since November last year on hopes of such moves. It was trading close to 88.97 yen against the US dollar in Asian trade on Friday. The government said that it would continue to keep a watch on the currency's movements and "respond as appropriate". Japanese shares rose on the news of the stimulus with the Nikkei 225 index gaining 1.4%. The Japanese government also hopes the latest stimulus spending will help to tackle deflation. Japan has been fighting deflation, or falling prices, for many years. It has been a big hurdle in policymakers' attempts to boost domestic demand because consumers tend to put off purchases in the hope of a better deal in the future. 'Empty coffers' However, some analysts said the stimulus was only a short-term solution to Japan's economic issues. They said that while such an big amount of money being injected into the economy was likely to help spur growth, further steps were needed to sustain it in the long run including measures to help exporters and reforms aimed at boosting domestic consumption. "So far what we have seen is measures to kick-start the economy," Martin Schulz of Fujitsu Research Institute told the BBC. Rupert Wingfield-Hayes on whether the stimulus plan is politically motivated "But once the stimulus boost is over, the coffers will be empty again and Japan will have no more money to spend." Japan's exports have been hurt by a slowdown in demand from key markets such as the US, eurozone and China. While sales to the US and eurozone have been hit by economic issues in those markets, those to China have been affected by a territorial dispute between the two countries. China is Japan's biggest trading partner and is also among the fastest growing consumer markets. Mr Schulz said Japan needed to improve its relations with China to help its exporters' sales in the country, not least because demand from the US and eurozone is likely to remain subdued in the near term. On the domestic front, Japan needs to ease regulations in key sectors such as construction, healthcare, retail and agriculture to make them more attractive for investors, Mr Schulz added. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-20981874 I believe this is outrageous in a simple economic point of view. 600,000 jobs to a population of over 128 million is probably insignificant. Likewise, a 2% economic growth, not so good. The Japanese Government may have to step up if they want to overtake China. |
Why are people screaming about punishment. |
kemoolala: I pity ur unborn generation for the wrath ur stylishly inviting upon them cos by the time the consuming fire Himself started wit u i swear nobody will recognise u. iI pity u!!You live in fear and your fear shall eat you up. Your religious leaders have imposed this fear in your life that you cannot call them to order when they make mistakes. My God does not punish, He is an ever loving God. Your God must be one hell of a scary Poo |
dklex: Is rather better to stay quiet, and keep fingers cross, than typing what will bring the wrath on anyone. All to God, Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged.I refuse to be quiet. It is our quietness that makes politicians cheat us in broad day light. There is serious poverty in this country, people cannot eat in this country and someone is busy accumulating wealth in the name of religion. Is he accumulating it for God? Why don't your MOG practice true Christianity by doing good like Jesus did during his time. There is a Desmond Tutu who is influencing the public and screaming at the errors politicians in South Africa are making. Your alleged MOG is busy blessing Jonathan and praying for him so that Jonathan and his cohorts can continue to steal and do nothing this 2013. HYPOCRITES |
Originalsly: If I criticise these MOG...I would be accused of judging and told that God would be angry and deal with me. Are you not judging too? ..judging that the guy is a MOG?....judging that the guy is annointed? ...judging that God would be angry?... and that God will deal with us? What has this MOG (Man of Guile) said that is edifying to bring listeners closer to God? What he said had everything to do with increasing his influence over the listeners and therefore increasing his cash flow. The Bible say don't judge...but discern.........and by discerning you can spot the wolf all dressed up in sheep's clothing. This particular wolf....MOG.... hides under two wool coats so I don't blame you people that swear he is hmmmm......a lamb of god.Your God will continue to bless you. For the gullible individuals protecting MOG, you are only making them richer. These guys are running a business centre and you are their customers. For me, my eyes don open. Better open your own eyes before them use your money begin buy private yacht after all what's there to buy again, they now own private jets. |
All these people claiming to be MOG yet some many affliction in the land. Why can't they talk to their God so that there can be peace and joy in the land. Them follow politicians they put Nigerians for #Hopingthings will be alright someday. Well things are alright for them, private jets, body guards, joyful bank account (domicillary and local). How different are they from our conning 419 politicians. Politicians deceive us and steal with their pen, so called MOG deceive us and steal with their bible. Similarities, they steal and deceive, accumulate wealth and enjoy the good things of life. Differences, they use different medium to steal and deceive. Also putting Nigerians on #Hopingthings will be alright mode and that's for 52 years. Wake people and smell the coffee. |
Howard Webb will referee Sunday's Premier League game between Manchester United and Liverpool at Old Trafford. The 2010 World Cup final official has not taken charge of the fiery fixture since an FA Cup tie two years ago. In that, which Liverpool lost 1-0 at Old Trafford, Webb controversially awarded a penalty against the visitors and sent off skipper Steven Gerrard. Their then winger Ryan Babel was fined after posting a mocked-up picture of Webb wearing a United shirt on Twitter. Webb made history in 2010 when he became the first man to officiate the final of both the Champions League and the World Cup in the same year. The 41-year-old has refereed every season in the Premier League since his introduction to the top flight in 2003. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20938783 Very interesting .... I hope he is not under pressure. |
Word! Nice write up. I smile when I read comments like "being yourself" - no one is telling you not to be yourself .Op is just giving tips on how to create a good impression that would hopefully grow into something . Truth be told - there are times and situations that you just cannot be yourself or you would be booted off. Take for example- your an expressive person and you speak your mind or better still you are lousy and just cannot keep still- I wouldn't expect you would "be yourself" if your meeting his or her folks,or your Boss. In my opinion that being yourself thing is a silly excuse for misbehaving at times.
Matured |
If I am the wife I would slap the taste out of his tweeting mouth. It is so immature. I have seen real comic act, the guy doesn't strike me as a good comedian but he is a good business man and still hustling. So he should stay low key and continue with the hustle rather than tell the whole world the things he does at home. |
Billyonaire: OP, I am sure you are less educated than I was when I was in the womb, Educated people know that the present batch of Ministers are the most advanced in their fields of endeavors and have served High profile International portfolios worthy of envy. They know their jobs but you dont know your job, which is peeing on bed as a toddler. What you need to do is go and understudy your Local Government Chairman and State Governor, they are the persons who receive allocation monthly from Abuja for your welfare. These LG Chairpersons and Governors have noted that every Nigerian look up to Abuja for solution to their common colds, so they squander the state allocations on their selfish toys. Take your eyes off ministerial cabinet and focus your attention on your immediate constituency representatives (I bet you dont know their names)that you voted to represent you at NASS. Your protest will meet with tear gas and rubber bullet and I will be watching you on my 3D TV getting spanked by the angry policeboys.Well said but not need to be harsh and insultive. We should be fighting our state governors, L.G Chairmen, Counsellors. |

Kehnyshavin: Am nt a propangaist,bt i wld say dat Fashola has tried,4rm lagbus,BRT,environmental sanitatn,i wld say he is working, although he has slacked.for those of u talking trash abt fash nt working u jst need 2listen 2Traffic radio evryday 2knw dat indeed fashola don tryChief if you want to solve traffic congestion, would you open a traffic radio station? Rather you implement a task force to monitor the activities of LASTMA, and arrest Bus drivers blocking the roads. We know that 90% of traffic congestion in Lagos is caused by these drivers. I have not seen any improvement since the inception of that radio station. Do not tell me that there is a traffic congestion, please solve the problem. Traffic congestion is now becoming a major problem in Lagos and because we have many mediocres in Lagos, we will never ask the next governor on what he would do about it rather we would celebrate him when he repairs Ogunlana road, the same road Fashola had repaired. We wud dance to his name when he repaints a school, the same school Fashola had repainted. |
thelastPope: Let me use Oshiomole as an example of good adminstration in comparison:Please let them know - Is it Minister of Works or GEJ that ply that road. A road that is in your State. I wonder the kind of Leaders we have and yet someone is telling me he means well. I do not blame Fashola and I have giving up on him. Actually he is better than his predecessor but he is a mediocre like GEJ and other political holders. I thought he would take Lagos to the next level but he delivered like a mediocre (receiving accolades for repairing existing roads the same thing other governors do). Hmmm, he is actually a product of his society. THE NEVER DO WELL POLITICIANS WHO THINK SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT IS REPAIRING ROADS. |
Ashmark: I can't just believe that somebody will come up with all this lies...Fashola is nt perfect but he has really tried for Lagos..Am sure you're not staying in Lagos but incase you are,you need to visit Alausa and collect your #3,000 so you can move back to your village....The populatn in Lagos is 3much,maybe dt's why is hard to see what he's doin. Why are you blaming it on population - Jesus. This is a mediocre answer. |
@thelastpope do not bother yourself. It is very clear that Fashola isn't working or is working at a pace slow enough for any improvement in the quality of lives for Lagosians. Everybody is entitled to his or her own opinion. However, I am shocked at the comments people make here, many some disgusting. Some choose to bring in tribalism, which I consider to be a reflection of insanity to those tribalists. Lagos is not on the same level with any state or city in the country not even Abuja. Hence I do not understand the comparison with other states. Lagos, by now if we have innovative leaders, should be a model which other states should be copying. The City has everything it needs to even rival Johannesburg. That is the level the next Lagos Governor should be thinking. Provide a working plan, empower L.G Chairmen (they should be responsible for roads, public schooling, healthcare). Each Local Government should have a hospital (this can even create more jobs). Licence roads to private investors with a 3 year renewal who will provide buses and private taxes. Do away with the touts we have in the city. Generate Power and of course invite more private investors to come invest in the state. |
ballabriggs: I am not from Lagos and I am not a yoruba man so please stick that your tribalism yarn away abeg. What I want is to reduce the pressure on Lagos.Good for you because you were beginning to sound like one. You are yet to make any positive contributions on this thread rather than attack comments. I would like to even ask you a question; maybe you belong to the class of nairalanders that enjoy attacking comments. Is Fashola working to you? If yes provide an extract of evidence for performance evaluation. What have you benefitted in terms of social infrastructure in Lagos for the past 14 years? |
ballabriggs: Pipe Borne water works but it is limited. Why? Because resources are not just enough to cater for the crowd. Public schools are over-crowded, why? Because everybody has left otueke for Lagos. Hospitals cannot take care of the growing number of patients, why? Because Ogwashi Ukwu has rejected its own people.First and Foremost, are you a tribalist? If you are that is truly sick. There would be migration to cities because people are seeking better quality of lives and that does not stop the government from providing services. Many cities in the world are faced with these issues and it does not stop them from providing basic social infrastructure because they plan, they do their VALUE FOR MONEY ANALYSIS. You have answered the questions, a government who does not carry out proper planning, especially Lagos, will fail. We should not blame this on the Military, we have had democracy for 14 years and all I see is mediocrity. We have mediocres at the helm of affairs. On a serious note (@ballabriggs), please act like an intelligent person and if you ain't, then act like a matured person. A tribalist is also a racist and a racist is also .......... (you can complete it) |
Who told you that the same corrupt government.
