ritux: As far as I am concern, this babe went f☺r runs.
Secondly, is it because the father is a general that there is Soº°˚ much publicity talk on this case. If it was a poor man's daughter, I don't think we would have heard much about it. Finally, I will rather see Farouk sentenced than this criminals.
I so much hate the Nigeria system.
So so right. There have been so many ritual killings and body mutilation in this country. Why the preferential treatment on this one. I still stick to my previous post. She went for runs and it turned out bad. Daddy is angry and want their heads too

PoliticsOkada-Riders’ Protest New Lagos Traffic-Law by omosexy1(op): 12:49pm On Aug 28, 2012
Hundreds of commercial motorcyclists, popularly called Okada riders, in the early hours of Monday, barricaded the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway to protest against the Lagos State Government’s new Road Traffic Law.

Part of the new law restricts the operations of okada on major roads across the state.

The protesting Okada riders at 8AM, stormed the Abule-Egba area, on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, one of the restricted routes for Okada riders.

This resulted in a gridlock as they disrupted free flow of traffic.

It took the intervention of the state security outfit, Rapid Response Squad, RRS, the police, Federal Road Safety Corps and men of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, to restore normalcy on the road

An official of the state Ministry of Transportation, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed the protest, saying the situation was immediately put under check with no arrest made as the protesting Okada riders retreated accordingly.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Kayode Opeifa, has disclosed that the government has added 15,000 road signs in addition to the existing 10,000.

Opeifa said the massive installation of the signs would enable road-users to be conversant with the signs and their significance, adding that it would also assist road-users to know the restricted routes for motorcycles and tricycles, designated bus-stops, among others.

He implored the residents to inform the government through GSM number 08174616936 on locations where they felt that traffic signs are needed.

He, however, warned “recalcitrant” Okada riders and tricycles also known as “Keke NAPEP or Marwa” in their own interest, to desist from plying the restricted 475 routes as anyone found violating the law would be appropriately sanctioned.

PoliticsRe: Senate Orders CBN To Suspend N5000 Note Introduction by omosexy1: 9:06am On Aug 28, 2012
I really don't understand this guy Sanusi. Is he trying to create an impression? First it was cashless policy, which actually is good for the economy. Rather than chase this to the latter, he has now resorted to wasting N40billion to introduce N5,000 currency and make our other currency notes invaluable. Why should this man be thinking of introducing cash currency if he was actually chasing cashless policy? See the way the man crumbled the banking industry and made thousands of people jobless and selling banks to friends. Why didn't he go the route of the US Federal Reserves who injected funds into dying banks? Is he trying to impress his generations by telling them "Na me Sanusi introduce N5,000 currency for naija". I believe the accolade that his fictitious associates give to him is now making him mad.

The Senate should quickly go educate themselves properly and call this man to order. They should avoid being bombarded and left confused by his fluency of English words. The Ministry of Finance should call this man to order too. This action of Sanusi has left me to wonder if he is actually trying to lift the economy out of its prolong recession or plunge it further into the bottomless pit of depression by always seeking attention and trying to always grace the covers of Newspapers and Financial magazines.

As a matter of fact, Nigerians should rise and reject this currency introduction and call for the resignation of Sanusi.

Before you guys get excited, please note that the picture do not reveal the true nature of that road. The work construction is so slow. Nothing has been done from Century busstop to Festac link road. The Chinese contractors are just so lazy to complete the road. I used the road during the weekend to navigate to surulere and I regretted it. Please when people want to throw hype make it true and fair. I believe it would take another 2 years to complete given the number of law-suits from building owners who don't want their houses to be demolished

FamilyRe: Urgent Help Needed !!! by omosexy1: 2:42pm On Aug 22, 2012
This story is really sad. Why are they just treating this man this way. It is no a sin to get married to their daughter and he owns them no obligation (financially or otherwise). @poster, 10 minutes drive is just too close, your in-laws see your house as an extension. They have not giving you their daughter fully. I think you are renting her and they are playing bait with you. Your wife too is to blame, she seems to forget that she is out of an parents house and she now has a family of her own. She has also forgotten that marriage will have issues and those issues are not expected to consume the marriage. She is quick to take her mother's side and forgetting that her mother has her husband intact. Your father-inlaw response is just not right, while take your daughter back when you have given her out. I see a gang-up but God will see you through.

MY TAKE: They want something from you. You have to find that out. Right now the situation is out of hand and any irrational move can result to a separation. You can give them 2 weeks, while you inform your family members of what is going on. A meeting should be arranged and where all issues should be discussed amicably and agreed. But I think you need to get out of your present location after you resolve your problems. Hence, you would be back to square one. Your in-laws need to respect your marriage and give you some space even if they need some financial assistance, your house is not an extension. For now say nothing or little but just listen.

@ apache77 spot on, bulls eyes. Well said. The greed virus spreading around young ladies should stop. We should uphold good morals and not stupidity before we hear "Another young lady went for deliverance in hotel room only for her to be killed".

@ Ivynwa are you one of them? At 24 and still in school, what are you supposed to be doing - flying around town (on the expense of business partners you meet on facebook and trading clothes? or studying to complete your program for which your parents are paying through their teeth? Meeting up with strangers and accompanying them to hotel rooms to either sell clothes or collect clothes? Please ask yourself those questions and be honest with yourself when the answers come. I am not against women trying to make a living but sometimes I JUST DON'T GET IT when these ladies (mainly single) go the extra mile. Coupled with the display of pictures on Facebook and BB (I BE BIG GAL). I just think it is purely greed.

@ omosexy: you have raised valid points based on1st hand experience but even at that u can't draw conclusions without the full details. We all make mistakes. She could have gone there thinking they wanted to show her goods that could not be carried around to restaurants. Business deals venues vary. Whichever ways she wasn't careful. And i can only pay my condolences to the family. RIP cynthia and may justice be served very cold[/quote]Blaise, she supposedly own a boutique (which automatically means she sells female clothes in Nassarawa). Your point - bringing her wares to a hotel to sell them in Festac from Nassarawa (Can you sell fire in Hell Fire?) and to a man (her clothing line must be top range pleasssss)and if she is buying clothes (you don't buy clothes from hotels). I know Festac very well, the only transaction that goes on between men and women in Festac Hotels is SEX. Quote me anywhere. Plus the rubbish I hear going on Facebook, 2go, BBM e.t.c. I don't need full details for my conclusion or can you provide me with the Hotel name? I will get back at you with the real gist.
CrimeRe: Cynthia Osokogu Was Killed By Her FaceBook Friends by omosexy1: 10:38am On Aug 22, 2012
TechRev: i agree with you. This story is bullshit.
They said she disappeared in July, they are just finding her corpse now in the morgue. How did they get access to her chat logs on facebook without knowing her facebook credentials? Or maybe they contacted facebook for the info? Why did the hotel not look through the CCTV when they discovered the corpse?? Why did the hotel not call the police when they discovered the corpse but were able to drop it at the morgue?? Has an autopsy been done on the body?? how did they determine she was drugged and then strangled without an autopsy?? How did they rule out drug or cocaine overdose??

RIP Cynthia, but being a General's daughter and a business woman, you should have know that you were safer paying with a cheque how could you carry cash to a hotel for a legitimate business deal??
She no carry cash, she went to collect cash. Abegi people why una dey read like this. Her business partner contacted her on Facebook (her boutique must be the hottest in Nassarawa) paid her flight ticket (what a generous business partner, who deals in clothes). She travelled from Nassarawa to Abuja to see a friend and from Abuja to Festac (runsgals breeding town) to collect clothes in a HOTEL ROOM IN FESTAC (hmmmm)huh Please oh, it is only Golden Tulip that is up to 3 star, the rest are merely guest houses in Festac (a breeding ground for sex experiences) not up to 2 stars. And if it is the Festac I know very well, the only business men and women transact in hotel room is sex.
CrimeRe: Cynthia Osokogu Was Killed By Her FaceBook Friends by omosexy1: 10:25am On Aug 22, 2012
@pro01 You seem to be reading my mind. I responded to this same issue on another post. In Festac, prostitution is like selling meat in the market. Hotels and clubs are thriving due to this. The moment I saw Festac and Hotel, I just hissed and laughed at the story. Maybe her death was deliberate, a mistake as a result of an argument, hard pounding or even drug or alcohol overdose, but it has nothing to do with 'Give me clothes mek I give you money in a hotel room for FESTAC (haba)'. For Police to parade whether innocent people or criminals and coerce them in confessing to a crime they did not commit in this country is not new. Remember the SSS story of parading the same criminals. Well I am not shocked they did not put their names and pictures in print, maybe they are still coercing the criminals in jail to agree to terms.
CrimeRe: Missing Cynthia Osokogu's Corpse Found In Lagos Mortuary by omosexy1: 9:55am On Aug 22, 2012
It is so sad how the Press together with the Police are trying to twist the real story, one that should teach morals into something else. If you ask me, I would tell you her death (probably was deliberate or a mistake) by had a connotation of sex and money exchange attached to it but never had anything to do with "Give me clothes I give you money in a hotel room". Even if the Police (especially those corrupt bastards in Festac) like bring some of your criminals in your jail and display them as the killers, you won't deceive me. All I need is the name of that Hotel in Festac and I will get the real gist.
CrimeRe: Cynthia Osokogu Was Killed By Her FaceBook Friends by omosexy1: 9:43am On Aug 22, 2012
BoboYekini: horrible. but something's still not right. if she trusted the suspects enough to fly all the from nassarawa to Lagos(I'm even assuming she had millions in cash on her), why would they have to kill her to get the money?. i mean, the hard part is getting her to show, right? string her along and she'll drop over n over,
and, a girl that's willing to go straight from the airport to a hotel room, you shouldn't have to drug her to get jiggy. and if they did, why then kill her?when you can be easily caught. the payoff just doesn't seem worth it. i know its very possible the story is 'as is'. there are people that wicked.
but I'd hate to cast aspersions on the character/judgment of the poor girl. something. is just off about the whole story. its too....generic. like, 'just give them a story- bare bones'.
@BoboYekini. I believe this story was made-up to cover an embarrassing situation. I feel it in my heart and soul. If you read the story clearly you would notice that either the killers are just too stupid, you pick up your victim from the airport, took her to a hotel just to kill her and you think you wont be caught. I believe her death was a mistake and I don't think her killers are students (no I don't buy that). Why are the victims picture not displayed and their names not in print (something is fishy). They are hiding something.
CrimeRe: Missing Cynthia Osokogu's Corpse Found In Lagos Mortuary by omosexy1: 9:12am On Aug 22, 2012
@madridsta007 I don't know where you got your story from. But I can tell you vividly that she was a runsgal as far as she was in a hotel room with a man in FESTAC. You might be shock about my assumption and that's because I know that area like the back of my palms. I cannot raise a daughter in Festac because of the atrocities. Many of the runsgirls plying their trade in Festac are legitimate business women (they own boutiques, supermarkets, some come from wealthy homes and some are models) and even support their families. What is annoying is that the most of the men patronizing these ladies do not stay in Festac. The Police and even the Local Govt Chairman of Amuwo Odofin (who stay in Festac) are aware of these activities. But the new twist (Ritual) is what I cannot comprehend. Even the case of human parts found in 3rd Avenue is still shocking. People can bring up innocent stories, but I don yarn finish. May her soul rest in peace and to other ladies learn from this. Also, if a man you are not so familiar with (even if you are familiar with him) invites you to a hotel in Festac PLEASE DONT GO OH.
CrimeRe: Missing Cynthia Osokogu's Corpse Found In Lagos Mortuary by omosexy1: 8:26am On Aug 22, 2012
@Kaecy5 you certainly have a point. Don't know what these young ladies are looking for. Take the case of my friend's cousin - Beautiful young lady of marriageable age. She has refused to marry. She has refused to work and I doubt if her boutique carter for her expense life. We just don't know her problem, she attracts men (bad, good, big, small, rich. I don't think poor guys will come close). Grab a man and marry (for where). Now, take a look at the lady in question. Her father was a Major-General, worst case scenario the man has a house and earning his pension which might be big enough to carter for his family. I am not joking about this, you visit a hotel in Festac, 98% of couples are transacting business (from the bar or lobby they move straight to the room). I saw a man in his mid-forties, with 2 young ladies in their early twenties (please no resemblance, it was so obvious with the touching from the ladies). You can't just have a nice time in a hotel in Festac without a gal trying to UnCloth you with her eyes or even coming to sit with you and asking you how far? Well I thank God for Golden Tulip (though the place do not allow gals to come in unescorted) and I thank God I have left the area. I wonder if residents can complain to the Government, even Public officers visit the area too. First it was drug barons and 419ners, then prostitutes, now ritualists in Festac. OMG!!!

she is a runs gal and I don't need evidence to prove it. From Nassarawa to Abuja to visit a friend. From Abuja to Lagos and to Festac. She conducts her business in a hotel in Festac (what is she exchanging in a hotel with her supposed business partners? Cash or clothes - Please. How did she escort her business partners from either the open lobby or car park or bar to the room?). If it is the Festac I know very well, then she is runs gal. Festac is the new den for runs gals in Lagos. After Abuja is Festac. I grew up there and I can tell you clearly. You need to see the huge inflow of ladies every evening trooping into Festac on a daily basis. Also, the men (married and un-married) who come around, many of them do not even stay in the estate. These activities are giving Festac a bad name. Any hotel you visit in Festac you must see them, either alone or in groups or with men. If the lady visited any hotel in Lagos and not in Festac, I would have thought differently. Anyway, it is a pity she was murdered. If I see my sister in a hotel in Festac my mind will explode. My friend's cousin (a lady) owns a boutique in Port-Harcourt (thats her side income), she comes to Festac bi-weekly to hustle, travels to Dubai to buy clothes and return to Port-Harcourt to sell them. We met her in a popular hotel in 1st Avenue and I was shocked. Though she did not deny it and even told us that her partner is upstairs waiting for her. Please note, she is a graduate. It is a fast growing trend for ladies looking for cheap income or to support themselves in school. Dem plenty for Festac loitering around. Festac is providing them safe haven to carry out their activities. We need help in that area as daughters may be lured into this menace. Even celebrities, football stars (married or un-married) rush down to Festac because of this ( I would not drop names but I see them).

Your husband left for you for abroad that was enough reason to leave him. Now you are married to him, rather than perform your duties as a wife, she ignore those duties to fantasize. I think you are SELFISH. The wants and needs of human beings are never enough, but sometimes we just have to put it aside and act reasonable.

I have 2 advises for you to choose

1. You can go have fun with your boyfriend, whom you have so much feelings and cannot get off your heart and mind. But note that you would lose your marriage, your respect in the society and you will never marry your lover.

2. You can tell your lover to let you go and that you are a married woman now. He should also concentrate on his marriage. This might not be easy due to the feelings, but you would save your marriage, save yourself from embarrassment and earn the respect of your boyfriend. After a while, the feelings will die off, thats if you want it to die off.

Which ever you want is up to you. It is a free world. But remember that you alone should choose and do not blame anyone cos we are the architect of our destiny and fate.

GOOD LUCK MRS. SELFISH

Fantastic post. I live in Lagos and I dread the city. The pollution, the noise, the rush, the madness, the disorganisation. This is Fashola's appraisal. He has a lot to do or whoever becomes the Governor. Don't know if the man is scared or he is playing politics. However, for the rest especially those in the east, claiming their city is better. Please hush your mouth, your city wasn't even recognized as a city in the first place. There are only 3 cities in Nigeria according to the International community - Abuja, Lagos and Port-Harcourt. The rest have not gotten to the stage of being recognized as a city. The only city better than Lagos is Abuja.

You must be a recent Arsenal fan. Van Persie has always performed. True, injury was trying to ruin his career but I believe the injury was psychological than physical because the moment he knew he was in charge, we never heard of any injury. I think he loves responsibilities. Always admired him as a player and always wanted him to join Man Utd. I am extremely happy its happening. However, he needs to be given more responsibility, else I see him slacking and getting injuries.

Welcome to Manchester Van Persie.
