deols: I have cousins whom I think have that identity crisis. They grew up as Yorubas but their father is not.

People going into these kinds of marriages should know what to expect and if they can deal with them should go ahead.

That is the basic. Know what you are going to and understand there would be challenges(all marriages do have).

May God help us all but don't jump into what you can't cope with it.

Even if it is that identity thing alone it would have been better but i have seen where the husband told the wife to always communicate in English when calling her folks and cases were the women are always suspicious of their husbands just because they are left out of a discussion with the husbands family members due to inability to speak same language.

, Communication means alot and i would advise anyone going into an inter tribal marriage to learn each others' language. Makes things a lot easier.

I have seen and have very close relatives who have done the inter tribal or even country marriages but the bottomline is you need lots of sacrifices and hardwork to make it work.

Marriages are more than just the couples alone and many things do come up from their respective families.


There's always that question of identity of the kids and the man may not be too concerned but the lady might be scared of losing one her identity and that of her kids.
Let's be realistic, even if the couple are ready to make things work there is always someone, somewhere in each of the families who would want to scuttle things and make it hard for them. If you can bypass this, then goodluck.

Before anyone goes into one please settle tihings like the identity of the kids so that no one feels cheated along the way, does the whole family agree and appreciate the choice the two are making and other things. Not discouraging anyone just giving an heads up. Marriage is enough problem not to talk of adding that cultural pressure to it.

Please I need urgent assistance

The last time someone used this Mini CPU (Dell Optiplex) was on Monday. Today I tried to switch it on only for me to hear strange sounds ("3 beeps".

The cpu failed to boot and the screen is just blank, even though I was able to eject the CD-ROM from the button.


The only thing I noticed on this system before now was the fake windows7 installed, which I've used for almost 6months.


Pls help, I'm just so confused right now. I don't want to loose the documents on this computer.
Formatting is the last thing on my mind.

3 beeps for a system should mean the ram or so. check your ram.

I am registering JAMB, but I can't see some Universities on the list on JAMB website. particularly ABU Zaria and MAUTECH Yola. And a lot of students in the North go for these schools. I downloaded their offline finger-print software(64-bit, with it's run time environment, but I can't 'transfer' successfully after installing the software. I tried 32-bit operating system, but I still have the same result. My computer is windows 8 HP Compaq CQ58, and is a 64-bit operating system.

You will do well by contacting jamb directly.

On the software issue, windows xp has been known as the best os to install them on. Try it on it.

Check your graphics driver. It is not installed or not properly done. Go to device manager to check

Change your cdrom drive> The lens is weak or bad.

You might try cleaning the lens with a soft damp cloth and see if it works. But ultimately you need a new cd rom.

Maybe when a woman comes here and complain that her husbad has a loud mouth we ould give practical answers. Until then we would face the practical example we have here.

Mind you . No one agrees totally that what the man did is right. I do agree its kind of extreme but we dont really know options he has exhuasted just to get his wife to the talking table. He has turn her back, what happens after is my main concern and would justify his actions.

Does she change and agree to talk things through in a calm manner anytime they have a disagreement?

A lot of women indirectly controls the affairs of their house simply becos they bend low. Most of these big shots we hv r married and glued to their wives. Wives indirectly control them but we wouldn't know. Its not achieved by razor mouth, but simply applying wisdom.

Most ladies dont understand that simple secret. A man always has a soft spot, discover this and he would answer to your whims and caprices.

The yorubas have a simple saying that your bulkiness or largeness does not open a door ,its someone with the key that unlocks the door. Its that simple. You dont need to shout , huff and puff before you get what you want. Wisdom is the key.
