Inspired, well done. Someone ask that you show the engine pics too. Please help us with that. Now, I want a brand new 2009 model Honda Civic for my wife. I want to know how much the American EX spec of the car will cost me. Call me on 08023855225 for discussion, or you can give me your own so I can call you up. |
It is true that successive government (and everyone of us here know the ''ethnic composition'' of the word government in Nigeria) of this god-forsaken country have caused damages and untold hardship, in no small measure, on the psyche of our people in the Niger Delta. We are not deceived by the lips service paid towards alleviating the sufferings of our people, and we know that the interests of the major ethnic nationalities comes first in the scheme of things in Nigeria. At present, we're operating a parasitic arrangement, and some people gets hurt, while others smile home with some booty at the end of everyday. This has to stop. It is my utmost desire that the entire oil business in the country be completely crippled, until we fashion out a way on which this nation will be governed. It's not right, but it's the best way to go. There will be pains and anguish; there will be job losses and other unpalatable events, but I think it's the only way forward. This is where I'm somewhat unhappy with MEND. There are better ways of shutting in oil/gas production other than using dynamites and blowing up installations. These facilities are pretty expensive. In all, Nigeria is reaping the seeds of discord, divide and rule, oppression, injustice, greed and hatred that was sown since the mid-50s, when oil was discovered in the Niger Delta. |
emiechat:Where can we find such persons? Mckren and Afam?? How? I think Richyblack will pass. We've had to discuss some issues in the past. And I like his sense of direction, objectivity and fairness. He can be a pain at times sha. I will not forget in a hurry our caustic exchange of words in the ''Biafra'' thread. |
What a country. |
You can rest assured that none of those Naija officials will leave the shores of Nigeria. . . . even with the ''smoking bazooka evidence'' of the FBI behind their head. It will just come and go, and I'm sure the FBI guys are in for the suprise of their life. No one in Naija will release any useful information to them. And even if anyone of them release anything, it will be useless to the FBI. No be Naija we dey? Na today? |
Wow. |
No comment. . . . . . . . , for now. |
Jakumo:LMFAO!! |
On drugs? Naija sef. . . . .I saw the lad punch out several shots on target by the Argentines. There was one long range shot he punched to corner. That ball was heading for the back of our net. I bet you didn't see all that. The score line could have been 3 or 4, but our solid defence and goalkeeping by this Vanzekin guy saved us. In all, I believe those guys put up a superlative performance. And I wish them well in their career. I also believe Siasia succeeded in putting together a solid team for the country. |
Nice photoshots, |
Candy, I like that painting? on your profile. You must have a flexible mind then. |
Axis:Did you just put that statement up there, Axis? Which groundnut money did we chop? Please elaborate more on this. I'd like to know how we chopped your groundnut money. This is really getting hot. |
@tpia, tpia:This line of reasoning (which is becoming the norm on this forum whenever issues relating to North-South divide comes up) is most untrue, unfortunate and will never happen in the real world. Even Russia, with all her gra gra is pulling out big time from Georgia as we speak. You don't just go attacking another country (especially an oil rich country) without meeting some stringent criteria, which under normal conditions must be ratified by the UN. Which push will come to shove if the South separates from the North? And what makes you think the South, especially the South-South will not do all in her power to stop any external agression from some nomadic herdsmen in the North? Truth is that a lot of things will prevent the North from attacking the South if the South separates from Nigeria. One of them is the fact that the North will then be powerless to attack the South. |
Well, they have been doing that ever since, even before Chad discovered oil at their end. Experts from around the globe have searched for oil in that place a long while now. They've even pulled out in droves, when all of their effort yielded nothing. Some time ago, I read in the dailies that Chevron? finally pulled out of that place when their last exploratory well drilled in there didn't encounter any oil bearing horizon. Which other experts will they invite now that will make any difference to what every one knows. Just leave them jare. It's another show of shame to justify their siphoning crude oil money from the Delta to fill the pockets of their well starved Alhajis and almajiris. Remember, OBJ did not give them a face while he was there. So, this is the biggest opportunity they have to siphon some more money from the South South. Parasites! |
@Tex, So then, the right temperature was just not there. What temperature range do we have at the Nigeria end of the basin? But, assuming the geothermal gradient is not right at the Nigeria end, considering the fact that we're looking at one and thesame basin here - stretching from Nigeria to Chad republic, how is it that the geothermal gradient at Chad Republic end is right for kerogen and eventual hydrocarbon formation and not Nigeria? |
Indeed there is oil in the Chad Republic part of the Chad Basin. The odd thing here is the fact that hydrocarbon has not been found in commercial quantities on the Nigeria part of the basin. I read somewhere that geosystems engineers explained that the problem is subsurface related. The conditions under which oil generation would be favourable (right temperature, pressure, trapping systems, reservoir conditions of porosity and permeability) is just not right at the Nigeria portion. . . . or at best, our part simply serves as the oven where the bread is baked. But the the Chad Republic end is where the baked bread is kept, tapped and sold. I really do not see how the application of 3D seismic will help this time. Indeed 3D will give a better view and understanding of the subsurface, than 2D, but I do not know how viewing the subsurface better will erase the fact that the oil is just not there in the first place. Let them waste more Niger Delta money. If they find oil there, eventually, I believe they will leave us in peace. All this gra gra na because Asari called them parasites. Good luck to them. |
Hey Larger. . . . .You hardly come around here these days. You old timers have left the land for some new breed NL folks. Anyways, I'm afraid I can't help with this Naija Police link matta. Someone else might. Naija police has proved to be one of the most inefficient government agencies in this country, so I won't loose sleep wondering why their website link, phone numbers and stuff like that doesn't work. They have a long history of inefficient, inaccurate, corrupt and odious service to the nation. |
1 Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? |
**Yawnsssssssssss** ![]() |
Exciting response from Rhino$$. There is a passage in the Bible that states men will judge angels on the last day . . . . . .I will get it soon. So, the one who says he/she is not ready to judge others should start doing that now. The Word of God is explicit about homosexuals and their act. They will be judged according to their works. . . . .and the judgement here is Death. Need I say that they will burn in Hell for ever and ever? |
Wonderful thread. I'm in. Analytical, God bless you real good man. ''Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.'' Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 |
By the way, can someone rank (in terms of pay package) the oil producing companies in Nigeria here. . . . . . . .from top to bottom? Looks like Exxon Mobil is light years ahead of the others. . . |
Interesting read. |
On a good day, I will not waste precious time replying this Nigeria1 guy. Ibime must be a very patient guy. |
ogb5:Shelve the thought. The North is not a place ambitious people will like to go. |
Pardon me, but there used to be one and only one Sista that I know of on NL. Is this thesame Sista who's changed to Sistawoman or someone else? |
Seun:So, you sef dey among parasitic elements? Na wah o. Willy2*, give bros the kind reply wey him deserve. |
The last time I read something this constructive and clear as the blue sky was when Owo was here. Ibime, you have done so well, I bet I couldn't have gone this far. This struggle of ours will definitely yield lasting fruits. . . . . .and just like you stated, if we, the present generation do not live to benefit from these struggles, then our offspring definitely will. The struggle continues. Let all parasitic elements beware!! |
That will be a glorious moment for everyone. |
LMAO at Willy2. Ol boy, Yoruba people go chop off your head now. But, thank God. Cattle Rearers are beginning to think straight. Lets hope with the outburst from the Niger State governor, they will go back and think well. And not only cattle rearers, every ethnic group in the country will go back to their lands (rather than waiting at Abuja) for manna from heaven, and go figure out how they can make meaningful contributions to the growth and development of this country. Now, I think using provocative words like ''parasite'' on these people will prolly bring them to their senses. Instead of carrying arms and AKs, I will propose to the Niger Delta People Council, to use more of the media as a veritable means of driving home their demands. It might yield dividends in the long run. However, force will not be ruled out at the moment. That's the language the average Nigerian understands. |
I guess shit happens all the time. At 17 or 70. Shit will forever happen. |
