this is nonsense! Anyone who is nonpartisan and lives in rivers state will know very well the unholy and shameful involvement of the military in the 2019 presidential and guber elections in Rivers state! There was also military involvement in akwa ibom state where some soldiers beat a journalist from TVC news black and blue for covering the manipulation of results going on in a particular lga in akwa ibom state! We dont even need the misleading propaganda to know! I was just laughing and shaking my head when buratai said he was carrying out an investigation over the involvement of military in the election! How can a judge pass judgement on his own case? I see this protest in UK as a handiwork of some disgruntled politicians who just want to rule the south south region at all cost! 1 Like |

If you don't love your hubby or wifey any more or you feel he or she isn't what you expected,just quit and move on with your life rather than being caught in such a disgraceful manner! Maybe the hubby saw her flirting with other men while they were dating and some uninformed friends told him to immediately get married the lady to avoid such distractions....as if marriage will stop cheating! If your partner says he or she will change from their habit when they get married,na you sabi....e go dey like film for your eyes after you don marry! I applaud the Governor for assisting the family at this period! Though no amount of money can bring back the dead,however this is a very kind gesture from the rivers state Governor! I laugh at those who are condemning such gesture because the same people will not hesitate to berate the governor if he doesn't assist the family of the slain agent who fought for the party! |

Just like what the female lawyers said, its optional! Just don't insist....ask if your hubby is okay with you adding your maiden name with his surname! If he agrees,fine but if he doesn't,then there will definitely be a problem! All these issues must be resolved before the couple get married to avoid unnecessary ego play! For me,a lady having her Hubby's name does not diminish her qualities,skills or take away her self respect! And besides,that maiden name she is bearing belonged to her father whom the mother kept willingly! Its all about communication! 2 Likes |

Whoever said the Nigerian army was not used by amaechi to snatch ballot boxes and manipulate results is not okay in the head or not a rivers state indigene! A case study is oyibo LGA in rivers state where soldiers from a division came to cart away ballot boxes from a collation centre but were met by a resistance of women who refused to be intimidated by the soldiers....even when the soldiers threatened to open fire on them,they still stood their ground! Thank God for sensible decision by the junior officer to disobey the instructions of his boss to open fire on the women! We would have had a genocide in oyibo! The Nigeria army should be sent to the barracks before they lose their importance and pedigree simply because of a power drunk individual! |

How can a party that could not get up to a 100 votes in rivers state now be leading in 9 LGAs? How is it possible that these same LGAs supposedly won by AAC voted PDP for the house of assembly? What even gives AAC the belief that they even won the guber election? The reason is simple....Amaechi armed with the military went to different polling units to either snatch ballot boxes or set them on fire! They tried it at oyibo but were met by a stiff resistance! Women barricaded the collation centre and blocked the military from gaining access! After trying in vain,the boss in charge asked soldiers to open fire on the women....however,the junior officer shocked the boss by telling him to go ahead and shoot! That was how they left! In my opinion,which I have explicitly stated,the English league is CURRENTLY the best in Europe due to "THE NUMBER OF CLUBS IN THE QUARTER FINALS" this year! That's a personal opinion not a complete fact! Others like you may see it differently! If you had properly perused my earlier statements and not jump into unnecessary conclusions, you would have asked my reasons for saying its currently the best league in Europe! Others have different criteria about the reasons for a particular league being the best in Europe which is still debatable! However,its wrong to argue with someone without finding out the basis for their opinions! |

Ozkar:Is it so hard to comprehend sentences on nairaland? I said the number of clubs in the quarter finals show that english league is the best! Now that's my opinion based on the number of English clubs in the quarters.... whoever wins the champions league is not my problem because I never used that line of thought to make a case for the English club! At times, most of you here argue due to sentiments for your clubs! As for the earlier erroneous statement that barca was leading by 12 points,My bad, its 7 points....what am trying to say is that barca are currently the only dominant force in the Spanish league just like Juventus in italy! |

Iykesmooth:Its obvious you did not peruse my statements! I was specific in mentioning this current champions league year as reasons for showing how good the English league is! I wasn't talking about the lifting of the cup but the number of clubs participating in different stages of the competition! After many years,england have 4 teams in the quarters which shows a progression and the fact that you have other English teams competing! This is different from other league like Germany or Spain or Italy where you have the big hitter competing against the rest of the clubs! |
