surgical excision is the only option to get it off your eyes. You may want to leave it as it doesnt pose a threat to your vision unless in some not so common instances.

you do not have to feel bad about it. Glasses are not bad aids. I use aswell . You should be glad there's something to help your condition. Many are not as lucky as you are ; having the option of using glasses.

Hello doctor

I just visited an eye clinic for examination. The symptoms are cloudy eye,eye strain , extreme sensitivity to light ( I can not comfortably open eyes under sun). At the end , after very extensive tests from different international machines ,the doctor concluded my issue to be " refractive error".
My eyes were dilated and I was given an eye drop (Drucamid eye drop) to use . The doctor instructed me to check back on Wednesday for further test and recommendation(s).

My question: with the look of things , it seems the doctor plans to recommend corrective glasses for me during our next meeting. Can corrective glasses PERMANENTLY cure refractive error?

it doesn't cure it. You'll have to be using your glasses to manage your symptoms

hi dear, different clinics have different prices even for same service . The price is clinic dependent as charges isn't commodity based . I'll advise you visit clinics around you to find the cost and then you decide which you would use.

@op, a family history of glaucoma puts you at a higher chance of developing the disease hence it's necessary for you to be screened for glaucoma.
Secondly, there isnt any known cure yet for glaucoma. It can only be managed to prevent further damage to your eye hence early detection is key. Do not be misled by those offering you a cure; they know little to nothing about the disease.
@ those offering a cure please get informed about your products and do not give false info on the ability of your product , all for the sake of making sales. Truly there are some products that can promote eye health but they aint curative of any eye condition. Please get knowlege about your products and ensure you give the right info about it so you do not mislead people and put them in harms way

it's good you are taking this decision . Consultation and registration prices vary and i cannot tell you an exact amount . The doctor might deem it fit to recommend some tests that might not be part of the routine test and they would require separate payments. I'll advice you walk in a good clinic around you and find out the likely costs .You can always reach me on this platform .

you have to save the vision left so it doesn't progress to blindness. She'll have to adhere strictly to her meds and probably surgery depending on her doctor's evaluation. There's no cure yet for glaucoma. it's to be managed all through life . Ensure you and siblings are also screened for glaucoma too

could be you are having 'dry eyes' . could be an evaporative or probably aqueous defficiency dry eye. alot of things could cause you to develop dry eyes. You should make an appointment with an eye doc as regards it .

how do you mean it isnt working ? What drugs was she placed on and does she apply them as advised by her doc ? Do you have an idea of her initial eye pressure and what it is now?
Are you aware that vision lost to glaucoma cannot be recovered ? The goal of management is to preserve the vision left so she doesnt lose vision any further cos if not managed, she would go blind

Find out the boy's church if he attends one. Meet with his pastor and tell him everything. he'll be able to reconcile ur sister with d guy.

. there are various factors to consider in recommending on what best suits but the easiest option to explore is using contact lenses aside glasses

I am suffering from what a doctor described as myopia so i was given glasses. During my first eye examination in 2014 i could see the first 3 or 4 lines and the doctor said my eyes will improve with the glass but it never did instead it became worse. So in 2019 i visit kano state and went to Ecwa eye clinic an eye examination was conducted on me this time i could not see the first line without my old glasses other taste was conducted on me which came out ok and another glass was given to me. Now my question is how can i improve my eyesight to see far i am tired of this glasses. Thanks

hi there. Myopia could be progressive (gets worse overtime ). There is an option for refractive surgery but has its After effect . Also orthokeratology but has its limitations too. you could also explore the option of contact lenses but u must be hygiene conscious

grave's disease isnt psychologic. Your explanation wasnt quite clear. It was strange kind of learning that one sheds tears while asleep. Anyways He should go for a thyroid function test and also meet an eye doc to manage the associated symptoms
