How can people steal from foreigners and send back to foreigners? Very stupid set of people are those yahoo boys though.
If yahoo boys were WISE, they would have invested in great businesses with good profiteering mark up and ROI and hire their friends and relatives.

yemiprogress: Good evening doctor.
Few days ago, I began experiencing blurry vision- like after spending few minutes on watching TV or pressing phone , my eyes bceome weak and things become blurry immediately. I noticed my eyes seem heavy and somehow painful too.
2. Also , any time I am on motorcycle , my vision becomes darkness sooner than my eyes experience wind/air caused by the speed/motion of the machine (motorcycle)
3. I visited an eye clinic yesterday. I could not effectively read those alphabets recommended for me to read ,during examination. At the end , the doctor asked whether I have ulcer ,which I suspected I have . He then recommended some drugs for me ,with the statement " if the drugs do not remedy the blurry vision, then the alternative could be GLASSES.
I will like to be advised by you. Is there any hope of completely regaining my original vision ? I don't want glasses at all. Meanwhile, I have not byought the drugs recommended me . I don't trust those eye clinic around me here.
I shall courteously await your response . Many thanks . hello dear. To d best of my knowledge in practice, i'm not aware of any relationship between ulcer and blurry vision .blurry vision could be caused by alot of things. going by what u posted, I doubt the competence of the doctor or genuiness of the clinic u visited as d doc (if one ) should hv been able to tell if glasses was what u needed when u visited. I advise u visit another clinic |

U1: Thanks, doc. I would have responded earlier, but browser issues contributed to make that impossible.
Yes, I had the feeling that I wouldn't need to wait for hours before the examination will be done after receiving the drops.
My main concern is having to sit idle with blurred vision for the seven hours that he told me. I am the type that usually won't stay that long without doing something. This is why I was wondering if the drops are really inevitable.
Or did you mean my vision won't remain blurry for seven hours? the blurryness is usually when viewing close objects |

U1: Good evening, doc. Please I need your thoughts on something.
During a recent visit to an eye doctor, I was told I needed to receive a drop for further investigation after the initial examination. The doctor told me my vision would become blurry for around seven hours after receiving the drop - that wasn't exciting.
I found it difficult imagining myself sitting on a back-less stool for that long with my eyes closed, doing nothing. This brings me to two questions:
1. Isn't there an alternative to receiving such an eye drop for an examination?
2. What could make the use of the eye drop inevitable?
I would have asked these questions at the clinic, but I don't think they came to mind. Also, the eye clinic isn't near where I live.
Please I need your opinion. Thanks.
CC: optm Hi dear. Sometimes, it is very necessary to use dilating drops on the eye during eye exams so as to get a better view of the posterior part of they eye. there are various reasons to use dilating eye drops aside this i stated. You wouldnt have to wait 7hours . The 7Hours you were told is the time it would take for the effect of the eye drop to wear off . You'll just be needing to wait for some minutes for the drop to cause the eyes to dilate and after which , the intended proceedure is carried out. If you drive, it's necessary to come with someone to drive you home as vision would b blurry. Also endeavour to go with a sunshade to use after dilation because u'll find light uncomfortable outdoors. |

ezedioranma9: No change in vision, no pain, expect when exposed to any form of light. I'm 30. just observe and if it doesnt get any better after 24hrs, endeavour to visit an eye clinic. Initially i suspected it might have been corneal abrasion but i cannot make much from your symptom. An examination would help alot in unraveling what might be causing the much light sensitivity on that eye . |

ovadozes: Please stop yarning nonsense about pharmacology, Pathology maybe, but pharmacology please don't even compete with a pharmacist in that area. Pharmacology and toxicology is what it is called in pharmacy and it is studied in depth in any school of pharmacy from year 3 till final year, you don't just study pharmacodynamics and the pharmacokinetics, pharmacists go ahead to study the structure and establish a relationship between the pharmacology and the chemical structure of the drug. Please don't go there, because it is lumped up for you to do in just a year makes you think it's such a big deal. It is just a part of the curriculum of the B.pharm degree, the statement that we don't carry Katzung, G &G and the rest shows how naive you are. Please ask your senior colleagues, the pharmacist is the drug expert in the health profession, in the hospital where I work, doctors come to us for drug information and it's understandable and we don't brag about it. u guys should stop this jare. Ok even if the med doc knows pharmacology more would he come nd do d job of a pharmacist ? Nd if it happens you know pharmacology more, would u now do the work of a med doc ? The training u receive is just what u need to carry out your duty as a professional in that field . Enough of the argument . i think most times we do not know the extent of training and responsibilities of persons from other professions outside ours nd our submissions on such topics would be biased as we re most times ill informed or not having a firsthand experience |

Jamesilvar: Why all these insults and arguments? Medicine and Pharmacy? Don't ever let the Johesu drag you into meaningless arguments because they are always jealous of you. Didn't they tell you that during your Yr1 orientation? Just ignore them and move ahead. Many of them wanna be like you but they can never be like you, atleast not while they are still johesu. From the time you wrote Jamb, the difference has always been clear. They way you are trained is different from the way every other student is trained. You are the only student in the university that will go through 2 different faculties before you graduate. You are trained to be all of johesu and much more, that is why you are the head of the health unit anywhere in the world. You can't condescend so low as to be having unhealthy arguments with them. So next time, just mind your business and your training and let them be. If their pharmacy is the most difficult program for them in the university, that is to tell you that pharmacy is their limit and thats the best they can hope to achieve. That is why they are not you. really ? this issue bedevelling d health sector actually starts frm this faulty indoctrination. Rather than preaching collaboration nd telling u how healthcare delivery would be better with team work, they re giving u reasons to look down on the contribution of other health care professions. Please is there a possibility of getting glaucoma surgery two years after it was diagnosed. hi dear. Although there's no known cure for glaucoma, and vision lost as a result cannot be recovered ;nevertheless, your mothers vision can be preserved if she sticks to doctors recommendations, use her drugs as instructed and go for regular eye checks as recommended. U should change your doc if the one u use isnt showing much concern in helping her preserve what's left of her vision. you and your siblings should also go for glaucoma screening . All the best |
