PoliticsRe: PDP To CPC: You Are Too Blind To Notice Jonathan’s Achievements” by OsunOriginal: 9:07pm On Jan 03, 2013
fr_evangel: I do not like PDP but we don't have any worthy opposition yet I keep telling friends. What we have is a bunch of overzealous, over ambitious and disgruntled politicians posing as messiahs but they are truly sheep in wolves clothing.
Stop being myopic my friend... What makes democracy work? What do you think in your brain will make politicians sit up? Is it by keeping a party in power and allowing them to mess up the country to a point of destruction while you keep saying there is no other party/opposition in the country? Democracy works when the electorate assume their rightful position of changing occupants of political offices at the poll. This is what makes politicians and political parties sit up and begin to do the will of the people. Anywhere in the world, thats what makes democracy work for the people. Your thinking will only keep you in perpectual monopoly and polical bondage - this is not the spirit of democracy. PDP has have been given the opportunity to lead the country but they failed woefully. To make them sit up, they have to be shown the way of power. When they lose power for 4 or 8 years, they will change their warpped orientation the next time they have the opportunity to lead. The same goes for other parties. For our democracy to grow. we must keep changing parties and individuals in power.

And you say the opposition is over ambitious. What do you mean by that? When has seeking to be elected into office become being over ambitious? It is like saying looking for a job after graduation from university is over ambition.

For the country to move forward (if you are really interested in progress and not someone from you state, region or religion ruling), the opposition should be supported in their over ambition to chase the PDP out. By doing so, we are not only helping the country but also a future PDP.

GEJ to share N60bn worth of fone to 10m farmers. #misplaced priority
Misplaced priority? How do you mean?

GEJ's priority now is 2015 election and whether you like it or not, campaign has already started.

This is GEJ's own way of starting campaign and bribing voters ahead of election.

It is all laziness... Lazy people looking for shortcut and waiting to reap where they have not sown.

Unfortunately we now have supposed elders who should be encouraging hardwork, now opening churches and telling young men and women that prayer is all they need.

What a way to encourage laziness and kill the talent in people?

Sagamite: While the fucktards praying for them will die a miserable death in an under-equipped hospital if they crash on the poor road people like him and his inner circle (the ones fooling them so he can hold on to power as a vegetable) steal the project funds to live a high life and fly to Germany. Even being paid estacode while in Germany. The prayer fucktards would barely even be able to afford the hospital bill in Nigeria, talkless of going to get the best care in Germany that the crooks destroying their lives love to get.

These same fucktards praying are sitting in seething heat, using lantern and Okada in 2012. They would go to private jet flying pastors for meeracu in 2013!

Na suffer go finish una lives in Jesus name! Amen.

THE RIGGING WILL ALWAYS BE OBVIOUS THAT'S WHAT I'M TRYING TO TELL YOU.THANK YOU wink
What I meant by obvious is when the majority of Nigerians actually go out to vote GEJ out. Sincerely, GEJ was supported massively wrongly by southerners in the last election.

In Nigeria's election there is nothing like democracy. We can keep manipulating the figures, like how it was done in 2011. IF we southerners(sw,se,ss) join hands,we can keep the presidency for as long as we want...................................The north has rulled nigeria for long and yet no improvement....Since the south took office in 1999, there has been much improvement. Our nations Gdp increased , Our power production increased from 2000mega watts to 4500mega watts , We dropped from the number one position of most corrupt country and many more......................
Yorubas will not join you to manipulate elections with a view to cheating other regions of the country. We should lay a good foundation for the country and not continue in the old evil tradition of deceipt, lies, manipulation and falshood. For how long do you think you can keep manipulating and cheating the other people? If the table turns accidentally like the way GEJ became president, what will happen? The vicious cycle of deceipt continues and the future of the country and that of our children is jeopardised.

Learn from other enviable countries of the world - let always set the record straight. Let the best among the contestants irrespective of region and religion lead - all of us whether minority or majority will benefit from a good leader. Also in this way, anybody, regardless of where you come from will have the hope of aspiring to the highest position in the land. Obama is American president today because nobody is cheating at the pool or trying to side tract a tribe from presidency - no lies, no falsehood. Lets do the same here and make our country enviable.

You are talking about power output increasing under PDP/Southerner? How? About 6 months ago it went down to 2000mega Watts before it came up again to 4500mega Watta. Who knows what level it will fluctuate to later?

Do you have an idea of Nigeria power output in 1995? Do you know the power supply situation in the country even in those days of the military who probably are northerner as you want me to believe? So, what has PDP/souther presidents (obj/GEJ) done even with all the billions of dollars spent on power generation? Can you remember the power probe in the house during Obasanjo? Did you see the mess that was eventally killed by OBJ the same way GEJ has killed subsidy probe and Ribadu report?

Last year I was paying 2k for power mothly - today i pay 7k and despite this, generator still remain the only reliable source of power in my house. So, what are you talking about? What is the essence of 4500 mega watts that has not translated into constant and affordable power supply for the masses of the country?

0lumide: The delusion I keep noticing among SS/SE is the "south" won't vote for "north" mentality. Lumping the biggest zone (west) with SS/SE.

The West will never vote in the name of some "southern" solidarity nonsense!! Never again!

Phuck southern Nigeria and your "our oil" mentality. Phuck the South. It's N, W, E, S. NOT NORTH AND SOUTH!

If GEJ should go for PDP come 2015, Ribadu/Fashola ticket is inevitable. But if they bring some bigwig like Mark and the bigger ones, It's Buhari/Fashola.

The game is over. We all know people in the west will vote for a ticket with Fashola on it. North will vote massively like they did before for Buhari.

So really, PDP know it's game over. Stop saying "south" Yorubas are not with y'all. I'll rather pick a Northerner over a self entitled southerner any day.

Bunch of unsophisticated asss lickers!

We don't care about Boko Haram in the north, we know if a determined government gets there, the government will end the menace. That's why PDP has to go. If PDP doesn't go and rig the next election, it's going to be a civil war. They better learn and give up.

Nigeria shall be great again. Eledumare is involved.
I agree with you my brother.

Watching the game closely, any combination that doesnt have Buhari in it will only make it easy for PDP/GEJ to retain power. Opposition dont have to spend much to capture the whole of north with Buhari. If the opposition is serious about capturing power, democracy/election should then be seen as trust people have in a candidate. The north and some of us in the south have trust in Buhari already - nobody needs to sell him to us. We will even spend our money to campaign for him.

All we need now is a heavy weight from ACN to pair up with him.

Oshiomole will be the right candidate if he is interested - being a xtian and a performing governor. Also, Oshiomole can talk very well - he will act our dear Tunde Idi-agbo of blessed memory.

When you consider his age and strength required to effectively achieve our collective goals you will accept with me that Buhari candidacy ought to be permanently shelve for a young intelligent, vibrant and integrity person. However, tribalism must be ruled out and this will allow proper and satisfaction in person of president that finally emerged.

Sunny_bobo: Assuming your postulation above is true about roads, how about the other sectors? Afenifere didn't just complain about roads, they raised other issues like Education and food schemes. Just in case you didn't read through the full excerpt as posted, you can read the remaining part here;
Figures in other sectors were more scandalous. For instance, under the National Health and Educational Rehabilitation Programme (NHERP), the South West had zero allocation in the tertiary programme, while the North picked 100 per cent. In the vocational programme, the South West had zero while the North had 97 per cent. In the primary area, the South-West had zero against 88 per cent for the North and in the secondary area, it was zero for the South-West and 86 per cent for the North.

The health sector is similar. For the Teaching Hospitals, the South-West had zero while the North had 62 per cent. For the Specialist Hospitals, it was zero for the South-West and 71 per cent for the North; in General/State Hospitals the Yoruba had nothing while the North had 56 per cent for health clinics, it was zero for the South-West against the North’s 100 per cent.

Under the food supply summary, the Southwest had 7.26 per cent compared with 83 per cent for the North, Buhari’s zone having 60.54 per cent to itself.
Interesting... South East villagers are now the ones reminding the more civilized Yorubas of their marginalization by Buhari. I never knew that the south east villagers love Yorubas so much

I grew up in Osun and I wasnt a kid when Buhari headed PTF. I have never seen any intervention fund in the history of this country that added so much value to all across the country. All higher institutions in Osun State benefitted from PTF including some major roads in the state - standard Borehole, roads, School buses (very strong ones), hospital equipment and free drugs. All these without anybody asking for it - this is how government should run - since the scrap of PTF, what do we have? What do we see?

7 years after I was at LUTH in Lagos for a project and I couldn't belief still seeing PTF beds in the wards.

Who are those Afenifere saying they were maginalized? Were they looking for contract and they were not given or what?

Like I told one of the retardeens on NL (sincere9gerian), we have our senses still functioning and we are using it. PoliticsRe: Jonathan’s 2015 Campaign Posters Flood Abuja by OsunOriginal: 7:11pm On Jan 02, 2013
kawkab: Some of the post in this thread has gone long way to show the reasons why we have challenges as a nation. very few persons have taken an unbiased and objective assessment of the situation at hand.

1. If GEJ is aware of the posters what does he want to achieve. Probably a preemptive move to announce his intention to run for Office in 2015. In several forums he has refrained from telling the public whether or not he would contest for public office. Until he makes this pronouncement we cant be absolutely sure. Everything other position would exist in the realm of speculations. The issue of body language is speculative and relative. Our interpretation of body languages varies. So what I may state as the meaning of a particular body language pattern may be different from another persons evaluation/assessment (except you are an expert in body language interpretation)

2. Whether the GEJ succeed or not in 2015 is dependent on several factor;
- He need to win his party's nomination for 2015. As at the last count he has not done that.
- He then needs to context in the general elections.
- For him to win in the general election, he would need to have performed exceptionally well between 2013 to 2015 to drastically change his negative public image
and perception.
- The candidate the opposition parties field also matters a lot. The opposition parties in Nigeria are only concerned about destructive criticism. they don't offer
credible alternatives and better policy positions. The opposition should ensure that a progressive candidate that is better than GEJ is presented, else people may
vote for GEJ not because they like him but because he would be the better of two devils.
- CPC as an opposition controls only one state viz Nassarawa. They have not used Nassarawa State as an example to show the other parts of the nation what they can
do if they control power at a larger level; unlike ACN that have shinning lights in Oshiomole and Fashola.

3. The poster may be from opposition parties that are interested in further riding on the crest of negative perception of GEJ to further tarnish his image. The opposition expected that he would take off fuel subsidy thereby increasing the pump price of fuel thereby cashing in on it to create civil unrest or demonstrations. When this did not happen, they may have resorted to the poster gimmick.

4. The poster my also be from organization like Neighbor to Neighbor or other sycophantic bodies who are interested in making money from campaigning from GEJ.

On the whole, let ensure that our comments are balanced and free from abuses.
You are an id.iot! Why are you labouring to exonorate GEJ/PDP? Why can't you wait and see if those posters will be removed by the government? Why not wait to see if GEJ government in view of this will send a strong message out to whoever may be posting posters - PDP or opposition.

CPC is your problem - abi? A party that didnt even have money to print posters for his candidate when he constested is now rich enough to start printing posters to blackmail GEJ... What manner of a watery thinking is this?

Simply put, GEJ and his evil supporters (like you) are only testing the mood of Nigerians with this poster.

What do you call transformation? They transformed the state by tarring the roads in the state capaital? Show me two towns in those states apart from the state capital that have good roads even if road is now what transforms a state.

Also tell me how many natives of Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers States who were living in Lagos and other parts of the country have moved back home now that their states have been transformed to heaven on earth - Dubai in Nigeria.

I see some depraved minds, anonymous internet rats and cockroaches behaving as if the world began in 2012 and as if GEJ was the first Nigerian leader to increase fuel price.
Ladies and gentlemen, fuel is a commodity, like rice and garri, and as long as the price of every other commodity keep going up, the price of fuel will also go up. There's no magic or economic formulae that will make the price of fuel remain stagnant while the prices of other items go up.
Past presidents and heads of state also increased fuel price.

History of fuel price increases in Nigeria:

Gowon, 1973: 6k to 8.45k (40.8%)

Murtala, 1976: 8.45k to 9k (0.59%)

Obasanjo, October 1, 1978: 9k to 15.3k (70%)

Shagari, April 20, 1982: 15.3k to20k (30.71%)

Babangida, March 31 1986: 20kto 39.5k (97.5%)

Babangida, April 10 1988: 39.5kto 42k (6.33%)

Babangida, January 1, 1989: 42k to 60k Private vehicles.

Babangida, December 19, 1989: moved to uniform price of 60k (42.86%)

Babangida, March 6, 1991: 60k to 70k (16.67%)

Abacha, October 4,1994: price drops from N15 to N11(-26.67%)- after NLC led protests

Abubakar, December, 20, 1998: N11 to N25 (127.27%)

Abubakar, January 6,1999: N25 to N20 (-20%)

Obasanjo, June 1, 2000: N20 to N30 (50%)

Obasanjo, June 8, 2000: Petrol price reduced to N22 (-10%)- after protests

Obasanjo, January 1, 2002: N22 to N26 (18.18%)

Obasanjo, June to October, 2003: N26 to N42 (23.08%)

Obasanjo, May 29, 2004: N50 (19.05%)

Obasanjo, August 25, 2004: N65(30%)

Obasanjo, May 27, 2007: N75 (15.38%)

Yar’Adua, June 2007: N65 (-15.38%)

Jonathan, January 1, 2012: initially N145 (120%) but later to N97 (about 50%)
