Western influences is less compared to other African countries. Most of Ethiopians are poor and live in rural areas, so western influences are less there. The few urban areas have relatively strong western influences.

Our military is the 3rd strongest in Africa with only $350 million annual budget and have the most peacekeeping UN forces in Africa. We usually represent Africa during major international forums and meetings.

Let me enlighten you on the purpose of why the igbo's will reject the threat. If the igbos will have to leave the north,it must be on the ground that a UN monitored referendum be conducted so that the properties of the igbos in the north will not be lost because there must be a round-table discussion on the way and manner of disintegration since it is possible to be a nigerian and own a property in any part of the world.
