I am so tired of hearing things like this coming out of Nigeria. It's kind of like Nigeria playing soccer with a country like the US and the score is 3-0 in favor of the US. Some things should just not be so. It's just frustration. I read it and re read it and it just seems more unbelievable each time I read it. In a country where the middle class in under siege. Regular everyday people get robbed and shot on a daily basis yet there exists a law that says do not treat a gun shot victim without a police report. How daft and brainless is that.

Definitely. People respect you more when you wear expensive clothes.
You are so wrong. Other money miss roads will worship them or maybe people who have never had anything nice. People might respect you for the way you wear your clothes but certainly not because your clothes are expensive. I have seen people wear expensive jewelry and carry expensive purses and still I try not to make eye contact before they will think that I am now their friend

Why do your brothers think that threatening not to show for your wedding ceremony will change anything. People just like to make life complicated all in the name of culture. What do your parents have to say? Did your brother raise you or something?

Love the color scheme and the look of the restaurant. I will like to go to places like this when I visit Nigeria but trips home are usually planned and on a strict time table.

I have to hit the gym myself. Abeg my dear you are not lying. I remember when the thought of walking and my butt jiggling used to scare the crap out of me. Now it has a little bit of jiggle there and I do not think it is cute. Even if not to look hot in a dress then for our health. Healthy you means better wife and mother.

Hopefully the lady knows better. After all her husband is an igbo man. People like pres-elect you simply just have to ignore. I mean do you think anything you say can cure that level of ignorance. I did not even read what he wrote before you quoted it. More important things to dwell on that wondering why people's brain reason the way they do.
Travel › Re: Is It Too Dangerous To Travel To The East? by Outstrip(f): 4:31am On Sep 15, 2009
Haba Platinumnk. Take it easy. LOL. Even if they have never been to the east they read the news and many of them have friends or people they work with that knows someone that knows someone who has been kidnapped in the East. Forget about the tribal issue now. There will be more threads here to iron those out.
Travel › Re: Is It Too Dangerous To Travel To The East? by Outstrip(f): 4:20am On Sep 15, 2009
Let's be honest. Why are we turning it into her tribal thing. If she was not white and the husbands family are quiet people she might be able to pull it off but I would not advice my sister to go at this time. My cousins in Lagos are not sure at this point if they will go to the village for christmas. The fact that she is white makes her a moving target. How many of you saying okay would send your own mothers into a place that you know that she would have a higher risk of being kidnapped than the average person. I think she should try next christmas or many they might do something about this kidnapping thing and she can go for the ikeji festival next year. That is usually fun too.
