Properties › Re: Foreclosure Deal In Detroit by Outstrip(f): 6:05am On Sep 09, 2009
The homes that you will get for free if you live in it are usually on the outskirts. There are good deals in real estate in nearby suburbs. You have to be specific if you mean the actual city of detroit or the detroit land area

Next time your mother in law runs her mouth you need to let her know that you will not tolerate that in your house. Let her know that she is welcome there but she needs to respect you. What is the worst she can do? As for the husband when next your mother in law is there ask your husband to help with the baby and when she makes a comment remind her that this is a husband and wife issue and her opinion is not needed.
You said your husband is SS so I can see how his mother over pampered him and that is why he is over 40 and not working but sitting on the phone gossiping with his mother but he is married now. The truth is that your husband is completely useless from what you say. The man can not even give it to you on a regular basis. You need to at lease make it clear to your mother in law that you will no longer tolerate her behavior and let your husband know that you expect some contribution to parenting the children and raising a family. You have decided to leave anyway so why not try this first before you leave

You don't sound like a sensible person at all and I mean no insult. You are more worried about your niece dating an "aunty's ex" than the fact that she is dating another woman's husband. She has no morals and you sound like you are not worthy to wear the Aunty title.

Andre Uweh:
When you marry an Igbo lady, you are not only marrying the girl but the entire kindred. The dowry is being shared by kindred members. With due respect to you. In the case of your grand parents, they will not partake in the sharing of other peoples dowry because of your dad's attitude of not honouring this age-long tradition. I am sure this shameful act will be the scandal of that period.
What the hell are you talking about. My grand father asked for nothing. Is it his children he will use to get rich. Why does anything have to be shared? My grandpa wanted it that way and that is how it was. You are free to do it any way you like in your family. I am telling you how it is on my mother's side of the family.

Do you have any kids? You already know the answer to your question. You have to do it the old fashioned way. Find a woman you like. Spend a lot of time with her. The usual stuff. There is no short cut

Health › Re: Gums Bleeding While Brushing by Outstrip(f): 6:05am On Sep 08, 2009
LOL @ some responses. I bet you have gingivitis. If it is just the early stages then floss after every meal, brush at least twice a day and use an antiseptic mouthwash. I used to have that issue with my wisdom teeth because I just could never floss back there properly. I had all four of them removed to prevent more problems down the line. You do not need surgery for gingivitis unless it has progressed to perionditis (not sure of the spelling)

You need to go see your friend ASAP. If you are having a hard time dealing with it then he should be feeling even worse. Forget about how you feel for now and go see your friend

Is the autopsy going to be done in Nigeria. If this was not a serious matter I would laugh. They should just let her rest in peace. If he killed her then that was just bad but do not expect justice in a case like this in Nigeria

Wow. My all time favorites are already on here. I swear that Morris Chestnut makes me confess my sins after looking at his picture. Common is hot but in a different way from Morris. He is kind of freaky hot. The kind of hotness that you know that he will suck your toes or something freaky like that. Then Blair Underwood, aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh. He is so hot and cool and the same time.
Family › Re: How Do You Change Your Last Name After Marriage by Outstrip(f): 2:07am On Sep 03, 2009
I am not in Nigeria but I would assume that you would have to go to court and it does not matter if it is a church wedding or the traditional when it comes to legalizing it (I hope so). The court process is usually different.

There are always two sides to a story and your story basically just said everything bad about her and everything good about you. We have heard these stories over and over again and even had a case that the wife came on here to defend herself (LOL I am not kidding either) but I feel your pain and almost feel heart broken for you. Do not neglect your child no matter how crazy the mother is. That child can only have one father and she will marry again and have other children
Family › Re: Help! Her Marriage Is Failing by Outstrip(f): 1:52am On Sep 03, 2009
If this woman has been married for 15 years and probably never worked then what options for a job does she have in Nigeria. She might have to convince her husband to give her a lump sum amount to start a business or if he really does not want her there and she feels she can deal with it then she can ask him to buy her a house so she can leave for him and his new wife. If she wants to be there for her kids she needs to remove herself from the stressful situation or find a way to live with them and manage her stress

Kosovo what in the world are you talking about. I am so dissappointed in Oshiomole. What the hell is he trying to say. I am finally realizing that Nigeria may never change. The mentality of most people living in Nigeria baffles me. How did Oshiomole rationalize this? How does Ogbemudia himself rationalize it? I am just at a loss for words

Romance › Re: Why Are Women With Kids Frowned Upon! by Outstrip(f): 8:00pm On Sep 02, 2009
First of all Uju I did not say that everyone who choses not to marry someone with kids in immature. read my post again. I said it takes a mature person to do it. Now back to the man staying and having a child with her before deciding to split I actually thought she was married to him already. It still was not the nicest thing to do to be with her for 4 years and then decide that they were not for him but the poster should be mature enough to not get pregnant. After having kids three times you should be able to understand birth control by now or did you guys plan it

Romance › Re: Why Are Women With Kids Frowned Upon! by Outstrip(f): 1:37am On Sep 02, 2009
Ujujoan you cannot be more wrong. She said they were together 4 years. You do not stay with someone for four years before you realize that the children are the issue. They were there when he came in so it does not make sense here. If he had dated her for 2 months and left then that is different. He simply found someone else and used the fact that she had kids as a reason to not be responsible. People with children marry everyday and it takes a mature man or woman to marry someone with kids. Don't come into their lives and leave after 4 years and say it is because of the kids. That's just nonsense.
