Family › Re: Where Can I Buy A Toddler Bed In Lagos/ibadan by Outstrip(f): 1:18am On Sep 02, 2009
Get a good carpenter like chaircover said. If you really want to get the full Nigerian experience you have to have something made by a carpenter LOL. Just think of it as custom made. No one else in the world will have it but you.

@Fhemmy if she orders a toddler bed that was imported she will probably pay three times what I'd pay for it here.

Not fair. Why don't you tell him that he is ruining this for you. I can just tell from what you wrote that you were really excited and he has dashed that to pieces. He is being a little selfish here and even if his family will talk he should be able to handle it. Maybe his parents saw you and said something when they got home and your husband was embarrassed by it. My uncle's wife weighs more than you and she went to Nigeria for the first time a few years ago and she was well taking care of. Your husband is the problem here not you.

In JS 2 my crush wrote me a letter. It said "my love for you is like a river, it's like the summer breeze that makes my soul shiver". I was like wow. Later I found out that he got it out of an episode of the fresh prince of Bel Air LOL
Romance › Re: Guys, What Happened To Treasure? (wooing) by Outstrip(f): 11:23pm On Aug 31, 2009
Sometimes I wonder if my head was screwed up wrong when I was in my early twenties. I could not stand guys that wanted to spend. I just could not respect them. In my mind they had nothing to offer so their checkbook was always on hand to convince me. Maybe I just had a low opinion of men. My husband was not a spender and his humility (so I thought) turned me on. Now I wish I had spent all his money before it became our money LOL
Politics › Re: Can Nigeria Police Be Reformed? How? by Outstrip(f): 11:15pm On Aug 31, 2009
They should all have the equivalent of an associate's degree and those who are already there should be given 3 years to get one provided ASUU does not strike for 3 years. These police officers cannot even write a statement. If someone wanted to go back and open a case there is nothing to go with. Training and providing them with whatever tools they need to police the country

I wonder if there is an issue with fasting because even as a child growing up I have always heard stories of people breaking their fast and then dying shortly after and it was usually the ramandan fast. Is there something in particular that muslims eat or drink that might make an empty stomach become toxic? Does anyone know

Most Nigerian christians are basically pharisees anyway. Exactly what Jesus despised. All they cared was following the law but had no compassion. Sometimes when I hear them talk I immediately think about the Scribes and Pharisees. What does the Lord require of you? To do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Most Nigerian Christians have a big F in any of those three things that the Bible says God requires of us. Most of them do not even realize that their thoughts come from a wicked place. they believe this is how Jesus would have done it. Jesus actually despised people like that. Go and read Jesus' teachings.

It is still a good thing. Maybe that will stop all these idiots from having seven children when they know they can not feed one. I don't know why the south never comes up with stuff like this. We are usually too busy pulling each other down
Family › Re: Wrong decision by Outstrip(f): 5:42am On Aug 28, 2009
What do you mean family pressure? Did they force you to trick her for 5 years? How can you be in a relationship for five years and say yourfamily pressured you to marry her. Don't you think that is a little wicked.

Fhemmy the one Adaku posted. The first one with the moinmoin. That's the one I was looking for. That would go well without the moinmoin. We don't want any unneccesary escape of gas during some serious romance from the beans LOL

These pictures are something else. You can tell that she had something injected into her face that just completely disfigured her. That is what happened to Priscilla Presley though her's is not as bad.

LOL. Had to modify that

More plastic surgery ke? Her skin is already stretched to the limit. There is absolutely nothing else a doctor could possibly work with. At this point any moe work on this woman's face could be catastrophic for her

Fhemmmy:
Aint kidding you at all.
Why cant someone else represents the father, what if the father has travelled?
That was why i said, make sure the father is well informed.
Even if he did not travel. Some father's are useless and if he says he will not be in the child's life and a god father steps in then what's wrong with that

Family › Re: I Had A Fight With My Husband by Outstrip(f): 9:52pm On Aug 26, 2009
@ Thoniaslim that is really sad. I know of a man here in the US that beat his wife's pregnancy out of her. She did not call the cops though. So sad. The part that is even worse is that had she called the cops it would have been the Nigerian women that would have made her life a living hell. We just need to support each other more in times like this. Imagine that woman losing that pregnancy but still having to have sex with that man. What sort of animal would even do that?
Family › Re: I Had A Fight With My Husband by Outstrip(f): 8:45pm On Aug 26, 2009
I don't know about this beating each other up business. Your husband seems to have a lot of anger. He hits you when you carry your child and he breaks property. You hit him with a stick(which by the way could have killed him) and call each other names. The fact of the matter is that he is probably better off where he is for now. You guys need to grow up. You need to get counselling and since you say you love each other still then you will work together to fix this. There is a serious lack of respect for each other here and your husband is really on the path of having a wife and child that do not respect him.

I am not a nutritionist but when I was anaemic my mom always said UGU leaves(pumpkin leaves) would help. I think unripe plantains and spinach too
