How daft is this? for my dad that refused bride price what then will you call it?

Even for those that accept the bride price it still isnt enuff for a woman who opens her legs everyday for her husband, cooks his meals, clean the house ,wash his clothes , takes in for him , carries it for 9 months, put to bed, leave her full time work for part time sometimes quit because she wants to stay home and take care of dia kid or kids whilst the man is working, to call her man her own?

How old are you and where did you come from? What a mentality
You'll be surprised when he says he is 23 and you will wonder where someone in this generation came up with that crap. Some people just grew up that way. That is what they were exposed to. Nothing you can do about it except pray that non of your loved ones marry into that family

I was thinking maybe it was a blood clot or something. This is sad. She was obviously flying to the states for treatment of some sort. May her soul rest in peace

Those of you prescribing things to him do you even know that this is not an STDhuh? Why are Nigerians so stubborn about seeking a doctor to diagnose them properly so they do not put themselves in danger. This can easily be treated but it can also be deadly if you have the flesh eating kind or it gets into your blood stream. If you know for sure that this is what you have then go to a good Doctor and treat yourself. Stop fooling around with all these other things that are not regulated. Take that risk when you have a cough or something simple.

Rule number 1 - Forget your bank card at home, Rule number 2 - make sure that you always bring that your justin beiber groupie friend along, rule number 3 - etc etc etc
Ok this made me laugh because I will tell the same thing to my daughter when she gets here. Sometimes when you are the self sufficient type that is not really impressed with these kinds of things then the men just automatically forget that you still like to be pampered. The pampering in the honey moon stage is too important and should be milked for all it is worth.

17 year olds are minors in Nigeria. Did their parents report them missing? If not then are they in jail. Parents need to start being held responsible for crap like this in Nigeria

I guess you can say the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. The fact that the mother insisted on staying at the risk of her daughter's marriage says a lot. Mother and daughter can now marry each other. They got what they wanted.

That's exactly what I am saying. It's like she has a handbook that was given to her to read everyday. The handbook should not be questioned but just obeyed. She gives these very dangerous advice but wants to sit up here and say that as a lawyer she worked for women's rights. WTH. What women? Only a bitter frustrated person will give such advice. I wanted to leave this thread alone until she came back and lept on defending what she said when she has previously sworn that it should be the other way round. I just wonder what her handbook will say for August 29th 2010.

I thought you said that the man should always be right. If he says no then it should be no and if he says yes then he must also be right. So should lovelynk have left her marriage because her husband said no? You just simply refuse to answer the question because you do not even know. I used to want to jump down your throat but now I realise that you have been whipped to submission. If not physical ass whooping then emotional and mental. I just see you as very oppressed. Send her packinghuhhuh Packing to where? Is it his house? So if your husband comes home and tells you to pack your things, you will do just thathuh?? Actually I am sure you will.

So it took two hours to figure out that a switch was simply pressed down. Do they think they are talking to fools. If the head person in charge does not even know what attempted murder is why are we shocked when lower level policemen shoot people to death over silly things. We can now see how the stupidity starts at the top and trickles downwards. Blind leading the blind

Nigerians self. What is anybody business what people decide to serve at their wedding. The worst part about this is that it is probably people who were not even invited that will complain. You know how your brothers and sisters just get up and invite themselves to someones event SMH

Sometimes i wonder where stella damascus got the damascus from
It's actually Damasus. I think their real last name was Ojukwu but their father wanting to separate them from the other "Ojukwu" so as not to draw the attention of people that might want to do them hard decided to go with his other name which is Damasus

I think I read that somewhere. Can't remember where though
