A Ghanaian guy asked me today what I did to celebrate our 50 years as a country. I not that we were in public he would have had to limp out of that building. Nigeria in all her Glory. Beat the crap of the kids why don't you and maybe that will in turn make there irresponsible and useless parents less useless. |
Aloy you seem to live in fantasy land. What in laws? If they have free access to my house to sit on my couch and disrespect me then what you are talking about will make sense. I don't know why you think that anybody could just walk into anybody's home and be allowed to act like they are in a cave. It will never happen in our home |
Where are you gonna live after taking that chunk?
In my house. where else |
Clayton:That is where you are just wrong. Many women take the time to look fit today and many men (especially african men) tend to be lazy about the way they look. The more fit the woman looks the more likely she would be disgusted with a fat husband. The chances of her getting hit on by a man half her age is very high. Woman in her 30s and has a 40 year old man at home. Wife has 20 something year old neighbor panting after her. The man is probably sitting there thinking she is boring while the wife could have a younger manliness if she really wanted to step out. |
I doubt that any in laws will walk into someones home if they know that she just might jump up and take a chunk of their ass. |
This shows that you cannot put a price on common sense |
I pray that no Nigerian woman ever wants you. I know a guy just like you. My husband even told me that when they were in school the guy did not even care about black girls. As a matter of fact he told my husband that just looking at the skin of a white woman is enough for him. Fast forward 8 years later when he travelled out of state to atlanta and saw a lot of Nigerian chicks, all of a sudden he is saying "oh I did not know that there were such beautiful Nigerian girls in the US. I wish I had known 8 years ago". Mscheeeeew. As if he would have dated one. He felt they were beneath white women in his little mind. |
Paha:You think women don't feel the same way about their husbands after a while? Or do you think men look like they are thirty years old forever. Yeye |
If I decide to respond I will type forever. There is always a root cause and I know that most Africans are not ready to change money habits anyway. |
There is nothing I will not hear on nairaland rotflmao |
Genevieve all the way. Omo who? |
That mentality from Nigerians just robs me the wrong way. It should be seen as a national disgrace. Even family members do it to less fortunate family members. I hope that little girl uses her situation today to push her to be great tomorrow. People are so short sighted. How many times have we read stories of people falling into desperate need and the only person that could help them was someone they treated like poo poo. Anyway God bless that child. No condition is permanent |
So cute. LOL |
In my opinion it does not even matter what arrangement was maid before the children came. When you hold your child in your arms it is a different story. I remember my Ghanaian friend's husband did not want kids before marriage. She even got pregnant without his "yes". He pouted for a while but when grandma came to carry the child back to Ghana the man simply refused. They even have two kids now and the man is the perfect dad. It is one thing to make plans but another to hold your child in your arms. What is common sense to some has to be taught to others obviously. I am sure this woman is smarter now and I am glad that social services are in on it too. |
Wow. I definitely would have ripped up the pictures. Why would I want them in my house. I really don't care if my husband throws away cards I give him though but I would throw pictures I don't like in the trash. Absolutely. Is she saying she never saw the pictures before? Hmm. If not then the man was seriously hiding them. Just wondering was there also a jar of vaseline with the pictures |
I guess you and your girlfriend have very different upbringing. I personally would have left if I realized that my man's mother was staying. I blame you here. You know your mom and you should have known that it would have been an issue. You should have together with her come up with a quick escape route. You are to blame. Don't blame mom. I am not saying your mom was right but you did not handle your business either |
Why the attack? Simple question. He did not even say he was begging his mother for money. |
gestapo:You are talking a lot but saying nothing. So we should now give him a round of applause because he stayed with his wife while she went through painful IVF. AFterall according to you most Nigerian men are irresponsible and just go find another woman. Wow. What a hero. I don't know why people like to lie to themselves. Where do you live gestapo? Granted I have never lived in a ghetto but even in a ghetto the law will still hold people accountable for their actions. Is that the case in Nigeria? Please do not insult people by trying to compare crime in the Uk to Nigeria. It will make more sense to compare it to a war zone. |
dayokanu:Why should the man care if he sees them? Was he going to be seeing them every weekend when they are in the village. There is stupid and then there is stupid. If the woman still has any sense she should better act because those children will vanish under her nose |
This is the problem I h ave with a lot of Nigerian women. Rather than tell the man straight up that he is not taking the children anywhere she decided to fight and now she is in jail. She needs to help herself and move on from the animal. Is he bini by any chance? Just asking o before people come and crucify me |
joy2dworld:Did you miss the part were they said she was not paid her salary |
Kidney problems is on the rise in Nigeria and the US. Odly many young people in Nigeria are also dying also from liver disease. It might have something to do with the misuse of medication and even sometimes taking bad/fake medicine. I really feel for this woman and her loved ones. May her soul rest in peace. She definitely went too soon. |
A lot of the dead are likely innocent. May all the innocent souls rest in peace |
jennykadry:He actually kind of looks like Mr Oustrip. I will just say "oh my I thought it was you my sexy husband" and you know how praise goes straight to a man's head. LOL |
muaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh |
You can handle your baby alone the day the baby pops out. It is natural instincts. Igbo culture says 3 months if you are going by the culture thing. Most mother's who are capable of staying might even be embarassed to live after 1 month. What was the plan before mama came |
So the same person who granted that interview is the same one begging. Pride surely cometh before a fall |
Maybe you should leave the girl alone. The fact that your parents are going to native doctores and prophets of doom is enough for me to pity the girl. I am sorry but I cannot wish such in laws for someone I love. The worst part is that you know and you are still considering their advice. I hope you marry someone your parents choose so that this girl will have a chance for peace in her home both physically and spiritually |
I cannot speak for anyone but for myself. There is no way in H E L L that I will send my kids to Nigeria to live with a relative at any age. If they are adults and decide that is what they want then so be it. This is the height of irresponsibility to even consider taking those babies to Nigeria to live apart from their parents. I would even go as far as to recommend that she not even allow them go to Nigeria in December as planned because you never know what they have planned for them. Also no offense but I also think your friend is slow. She really needs to wake up. Get a safe deposit box and put the childrens passports there. When the man stops smoking this bad stash of weed and comes down from this high then you can start discussing with him like a man. |
People seem to forget that the same lax laws in Nigeria that may protect an abusive woman might also benefit the woman if she decides to have him beaten within an inch of his life. Be careful what you wish for. The only thing that we can prove from what he says here is that he does not respect her and she does not respect him. He is quick to talk about how he brought her from that dreadful evil country Nigeria and brought her to the American promised land and therefore how can she just slap him. If I had to listen to a man talk about how he saved me every single day I might have to slap him too. Coming here and talking about how he brought her here so that everybody can start talking about how ungrateful all these young desperate Nigerian girls can be says a lot about you. I personally hate hitting of any kind. It does not matter if it comes from the husband or the wife. I hate verbal and emotional abuse even more. In my opinion it is even worse that physical abuse in some cases. |
So America was founded for slapping. Why don't you figure out what the issue is before you start blaming america |
I actually feel for your friend but she is having sex with another woman's husband. IT IS WRONG. I would not stay with an abusive man but her friend and his wife can definitely repair their marriage. She thinks she is suffering now but wait until it finally dawns on her that she is just there to scratch the itch. She needs to break it off and focus on healing herself. She is just setting herself up for more disappointment |
