People need to stop sending their kids to work in other people's households as househelps (slavery in disguise)! Ki lo de na! When will they learn? With all the abuse that is happening around us eh! Why do some parents prefer to send their kids to their death when the children could be better off alive and drinking Garri at home! Let people who need househelps use proper agencies that will follow up on the welfare of staff! I hope this couple face justice!
I think our people disguise it as "giving their children opportunities" when in reality in most cases it's just people not wanting to take responsibility

See them coming in droves to defend their fellow murderer. I wish I knew all these peoples real names so I can warn families ahead of time to keep their women away from those families. Shameless people. You don't even know the man but you have already decided that his decision to kill another human being must have been justified.

I don't think the lady intended it to be Chanel jare. Abi do Chanel have the sole franchise to quilts on bags? If you look at the bag closely, you'll see something that looks like a GBP sign not a double C as with Chanel. The bag is lovely, give her a break. tongue
I love her play suit as wel
l.
Haba. I agree that the bag is lovely now. I used to have one but instead of the interlocking c's like travelista pointed out I proudly carried it with the BP logo. LOL. If anyone finds it let me know. I love the bag

Yes,so many crooked lawyers who can wake up the dead man in Nigeria
They can only do it to who allows them do it. This case cannot make it anywhere. Will the crooked lawyer re write the law. It will only work if the wife decides to let a lawyer intimidate her which is easy in NIgeria because people do not even care to know ther rights

I don't know why this made me laugh; maybe it's because CHANEL's in quotes. Did you try tPF? If you can't find it there, it probably isn't real; those girls (and guys!) are fiends when it comes to spotting legit v. fake.
LOL. What is tpf. I am pretty sure its not real because years ago I had a baby phat purse that looked almost exactly like that. It was my everyday purse and it always made an impression because people always wanted to know where they could get it. After a wore it out I could not find anything else like it. If I can get this even though it is probably actually a shanel I will carry it. Maybe I can disguise the logo LOL

Christianity Etc › Re: Should Churches Join A Pregnant Woman To A Man? by Outstrip(f): 2:51pm On Aug 20, 2010

Fornication is not a sin in the books of the civil office; many of our traditional customs expect the marriage to be consummated after being wedded; fornication is a sin in christianity.

I get the argument that the couple might have asked for forgiveness but I think that where pregnancy is evident, they should use the registry. Allowing such ceremonies in churches sends the message that pre-marital sex which is condemned by the Bible is condoned by the church!
Seyi brown you are not a christian but a traditionalist. Is it your opinion that matter sor what the Bible says. The Bible says that as long as she confessed her sins she is free from bondage. So which one are you holding on to. Your faith or your traditiona. I have always said that 95% of Nigerians are traditionalists that read bibles. You people can simply not separate the two. Who is sending the message that pre marital sex is condoned by the church by marrying a couple who have asked for forgiveness from who it matters. What your opinion is does not matter. If you are going to quote the scriptures then quote it "not in part". This is your traditionalist views overriding wat the Bible says. You need to repent.
Matthew 15:3 Jesus said He answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?
Culture › Re: Kneel Down And Feed Your Husband? by Outstrip(f): 8:12pm On Aug 19, 2010
I don't see any woman here saying that a man should do something that she should not have to do. As a matter of fact most women agree that we should do the things that men have "traditionally done". The Bible which they quote says "help mate" which basically means assist but nowadays with most marriages we find that the womans income is just as important as the mans if you want to maintain the lifestyle you have become accostomes to. You don't hear any woman shouting foul about that. I think this is more a human thing. I cannot for the life of me understand the need to show that one is superior to the other. The nature of a man and women automatically make us behave a certain way. Those things though should be respected and not belittled.
What you find in a lot of thesemarriages is simply misreable women that would rather die than admit that they are misreable. How can you teach yoru children to be independent and have independent thoughts but then tell yoruself as a wife you should not have one. It does not make sense
As for the whole who lies on top and who rides behind. I don't even want to get into that nonsense because if I had a pe, ni, s I am sure I will ride behind too if need be but since I don't have one I am fine with how God made me too. This has nothing to do with who is in charge or who is not. It has everything to do with respect. Mutual respect. If there is anything that you feel you have the right to do your spouse should have that same right too.

Christianity Etc › Re: Should Churches Join A Pregnant Woman To A Man? by Outstrip(f): 6:27pm On Aug 19, 2010
The church is supposed to join them if they wish to. Anybody who refuses to join a man an woman is the one commiting the sin. If anything the pastor can use the opportunity to preach about the way you should not do it. The only thing I can say is that if the pastor feels like they arenot ready for it he should not do it. Even if she is already nine months pregnant. It should not be treated like any other one.

Genevieve is a star. She just has that star quality. The problem I always have with Nigerian red carpet events is how there is never really any flow with how people dress. There is Genevieve and Steph Okereke looking glam and then her ghetto highness Uche Owuji shows up with SPANDEX wtf
Family › Re: Please Help Me My Wife Is Driving Me Crazy. by Outstrip(f): 2:49am On Aug 19, 2010
Your wife is crazy. If that girl was my child you would have met your wife in 100 pieces. As an older woman what stops her from simply telling the girl not to come back and what stopped you after the initial warning from stopping the girl from coming to your house. It is quite possible that the little girl has a crush on you. Why get yourself in trouble. Anyway your wife is lucky because I am pretty sure that girls mother is not in Nigeria
Romance › Re: My Fiance Says Am Fat. by Outstrip(f): 2:38am On Aug 19, 2010
This is my honest opinion. Call of the wedding. Your fiance not liking the way you look is even far from the issue. Things like his friends laughing at him about his fiance and then him putting pressure on you for that reason are some of the things that make me uncomfortable. He is not ready to be a man.
His friends being comfortable enough to call his wife to be fat to his face shows that they do not even respect him as a person and yet he calls them friends. A broken engagement is better than and unhappy or broken marriage. Just my own opinion

So because the british royal family does it makes it not be the same thing? It is probably even worse. The whole reason america was formed was because of the way england treated her "subjects". I have no problem with respect. We do not do the whole bowing and kneeling thing in my family. If someone gets offended that I did not kneel then I can think of a million and one things they can do to make them feel better. Thank God I come from a family were people are more focused on improving their lives than worry about if the kneeling part of the ceremony was done. The only part I remember clearly that my husband and I knelt was when the pastors prayed for us.
Culture › Re: Kneel Down And Feed Your Husband? by Outstrip(f): 8:16pm On Aug 16, 2010
To be honest the only reason that the woman is told to kneel in to remind her that she is beneath the man. There is no other reason. I personally did not do it. My older sister did it for their traditional wedding but her husband also knelt down to take the cup from her. To each their own
