@Awoofawo You know what? Take the guy that advised you research for inspiration's advise. Also, your designs are complex, a bit too abstract making them hard on the eye. I could barely 'read' through your creations. You will need to unlearn whatever you know (that is, if you learned it) and approach logo designs in a fresh, more organic way. Also bear in mind that ease of duplication for an insignia is important for most logo designs. I also noticed your font choices are poor. The fonts needn't be exotic to work but be readable and be at par with brand essence. Comic Sans for instance, has no business in corporate communication except for other special and deliberate reasons. Colour diversity is good if it aligns with brand; I noticed you were overly green-friendly - the land is truly green. LOL. In brand manuals (google that), you will learn that spacing for legibility is important. All elements will likely be required to 'breathe' well and cluttering is avoided. Some of the best logo are super simple, some are complex but leave an impression, a good one. Logos don't always have to say something per se, but they usually do or are required to. You'll be shocked at the meaning of colours and elements in some of the best known logos. Don't worry. Your zeal will see you through once you are open to learning. If you can, get training that is, if you haven't; it's not a compulsory factor though. One thing you can do is study extensively, tonnes of logo designs, better to be the well known ones or successful but diverse types... it is a science of sort, believe me. I'm into brand design but not a graphics pro. Please, true graphic pros in the house (I've had a business deal with one but can't remember the name), come in. God bless. |
akj26:Good! Let's know if you need HR or content... |
Please take it into.consideration well. It's a capital intensive venture but needn't be as gargantuan as N4b though, depends. An alternative would be to venture into the online radio format but people are yet to adequately key into such for good sustainability IMO. Terrestrial radio is expensive but ultimately rewarding RoI-wise provided you have a truly unique positioning. Even without much differentiation, the space is yet tone fully saturated for now even with the many at hand. Get a consultant to advise you based on your concept. Not kwe-kwe consultant o; soeone in the field and better, someone who has helped set up one... |
etech:Tried again and got what is captured below... didn't hear stream or is it my browser?
|
etech:Do cloud storage or stored playlist broadcasting... don't be going off air at all. |
lovemko:Truly hi resolution but the difference is ultimately it's all in the hands i.e. expertise. I think the popular DSLRs like Canon 7D/5D MK II... end at 2k, someone correct me if I'm wrong abeg. Even some Red One vids be like BB video but good to know someone is offering this 'almost free'. Thumbs up! |
Heard first 3 beats. Lovely, truly you've got a good sense of rhythm and arrangement. You should be working for top notchers IMO. Thumbs up!!! |
cruciate:You know my problem: I've got it on cassette and I've been wanting to turn all my tapes to CDs for a while now, no time. Will make an exception for you but wait about a week or two, biko. |
citizenY:Believe me my brother, I mailed N50 then. That's how much I loved Raypower and I was in Sec. School then. |
No luck o. In fact, But I'm sure in some place, especially outside Lagos, there'd be some still in use. I can almost guarantee it. However, it's available on eBay. I've seen listings from about $100 to $350 there. |
cupidhero:I respect you!!! Very few people would agree with you and me, I don tire to talk sef... God bless you. It's the truth you just said but some will say you are beefing! We appreciate our own but truth need to be said. |
Pryse is on Choc City o. Na Ruby and Loose Kaynon dey Loopy. |
AJOT99:I beg you, what font was that text set in, I mean the MTN 1GB Data artwork?
|
No show yet. Still on the lookout. Searching for a particular contact... fingers crossed. |
Hmmm, you go try o. I'll ask around. Last time I used that was like 1999 or 2000. |
@LRNZH Well done! You've done a Yo Man's job on this. Interesting read! |

@propzncribz The compare strongly against Berhinger B2 Pro. I've used the B1 before though I use Rode NT2A now, nice warm sound with a bit of top though but decent. These are pretty decent too. You can still go for a B2 by popular demand - that's one of the one known here unlike Telefunken, Audio Technica, Electro Voice... The LD goes for that price because it has a physical dent but that doesn't affect it's performance. I'm in Lagos. I'll put up pics tomorrow. |

Got an account for my company through NAIRALAND. |
vladimiros:Music can be a 'dangerous' business. This I know... I've seen the 'greatest go down practically first hand... and a few others. Nonetheless, it is profitable given right steps are taken cautiously and with expertise involved; tested expertise, that is. A business plan and model, structure and even works in motion are already at hand and it does transcend the music entertainment and management sphere; not just to secure inflow of investment returns in the shortest possible time, but because the know-how is there. It is a near-parallel industry; media related though. Hitting the ground running for sure as Time + Chance have a roll to play here. Preparation meets opportunity.
