I thought the same way too but once you see the drive behind the project, you will understand its purpose.
Not every fintech should be about Blockchain.
Apart from investing, how does Blockchain simplify transactions within the country?
Even countries with more knowledgeable people haven't fully adopted the technology for day to day transactions and you want Nigeria to start using it?
Let me tell you this, enaira makes transactions easier and that's the goal. It's as simple as dipping your hands in your pocket and giving paper money to a seller without using the paper, you still can't see the benefit in that? Old school me trying so hard to wrap my head around this Enaira thingy. Is it like Bitcoin? Can I use it to make payment outside Nigeria? |

What can possibly go wrong? Russia is not into any expansionist agenda. It’s the west that have not kept to the agreement not to expand to Eastern Europe with NATO and nuclear bomb. The Americans are now stationEd in Latvia and other Eastern European countries with their dual use patriot “anti missile” system capable of firing nuclear missile. The west launched Maidan Revolution in Ukraine to draw ever closer to Russia. They also launched a failed revolution in Belarus. The west is the problem not Russia. What are the Americans doing in Black Sea with nuclear-armed ships? If Russia did the same thing in North America, the whole western media will go berserk; “ah! This is because i developed reading culture, the book became my television,I can visualize the words in a book,my imagination grew. That visualization helped me teleport myself to my future even when the reality then makes no sense. Television is really a distraction but I will try and make it work positively for my family. Interesting! I got so attached to the radio (World Receiver SW,SW2). Then her majesty’s BBC despite their bias had programs ranging from science to drama to last the whole day. Also DW and CRI. The Japanese did have an English radio transmission many years back; not sure if it still on air. Now TV is choke-full of mis/disinformation, and a clear attempt by who knows what to make the abnormal lifestyle the norm. And it has become so “in-your-face” these days; especially with the “rainbow” movement and the main stream media is trying to force it on everyone. |

Someone told my sister that there was a connection for a sales rep. Job in UAE, since she's yet to get a job after her NYSC, (you know how tough Nigeria is now. But it will require her to pay some money for her visa, flight ticket and other necessary documents, but my sister told her that she currently don't have money to process any international papers.
After much discussion this lady told my sister not to worry that all documentations including flight ticket will be paid for her but on a commission fee when she arrived her destination and upon resuming work in UAE, a percentage of her salary will be remitted to them until she pays up the debt incurred.
This was two months ago precisely August. Now fast forward to yesterday 3rd November 2021, I got a WhatsApp message from my sister telling me that she was being forced into prostitution upon arriving and not the sales job as was agreed.
I told her to find a way to come back to Nigeria since she has a return ticket that will expire in 4 days time valid till 8th November 2021.
Now the issue is: 1. Her Boss, as she called her earlier took her passport upon arrival in the pretense that she may misplace it or it may get stolen.
2. Her boss insisted on her paying all the debt incurred in processing her peppers which is 125% extra on what she spent in bringing her to Dubai, which amounts to N3.5 million Naira.
Please is there a way she can return back without her international passport since she went there legally and her return ticket is still valid.
Please we need help as during this altercation since yesterday, I cannot communicate with her as her Boss has seized her phone. It's now a matter of life and death. Go to police, report issue to police and get a police report Go to Nigerian embassy in Abudhabi. Collect TC. Go to Dubai immigration and present your TC Confirm your Ticket Leave before your ticket and visa expires |

TechSpot: I've read from page 1 and now I'm here to share my opinion
Many posters kept asking why the 6 SUVs pirchase matter to the case but I think it does.
The purchase of 6 SUVs in a day with cash will instinctively tell that the accuse is part of a snuggling or money laundering ring cos he couldn't have come into America with the cash used in the purchase so he definitely is moving money by converting them to accessories (SUVs in this case) and this helps the prosecutors determine the criminal nature of this individual. Due to this act they already profile him as fearless and boastful criminal that believes he can always get away with any criminal act cos how can someone visiting the US for the first time perfect tha act to smuggle a whole 6 SUVs worth of cash?
They would have also questioned his source of funds to these purchases and if he kept lying then they would doubt any argument he puts up against the rape allegation.
If the victim said a black guy raped her and there's a boastful criminal minded black guy there at time of rape then he automatically becomes a suspect and I'm sure he couldn't proof his innocence during trial and investigations.
Suspect profiling is really important and I expect Mr Bah to be able to give some back story about himself prior to landing in the US and while he was in the US till he got arrested but he has avoided answering any questions regarding what he does prior to his arrest while in Japan or in the US.
If you want us to help you let us know you beyond the Mr Bah that was convicted of rape. To me this is necessary.
Thanks Do you know if he made cash declaration on arrival at the airport? |

Thank you, justwise. My advice: Don’t be quick to start a public campaign. Try to gain a firm understanding of the facts of this case; including the facts against the defendant. And if possible reach out to his current legal counsel. A total of 1200+ pages of recorded transcripts and reports...I guess you have only seen a few pages of this case. You don’t have all facts of this case to mount a public campaign. Remember the public will ask far more difficult questions. |

For this case to get a solution, the open need to come clean properly. From all his dealings in Japan to the people he knows in USA. All these DNA,surveillance camera, tower triangulation etc won’t solve this case. I believe there is more and more to this case.

Just curious.....
(1) There are a few Africans living in that apartment complex. Since it’s obvious the rapist had a secured access to the complex.
The defendant lives in that complex.
The defendant has seen the cctv footage of the “African” in khaki.
I assume he knows the Africans in that complex
Can the defendant identify the black male in the cctv video accessing the complex?

The defendant has provided a few evidence that supports his case on this forum: call logs and testimonies. He has, on many request, failed to state the facts that nailed him in this case; and these are the facts that the jury saw and pronounced the defendant guilty.
This call logs as an alibi is not weighty enough, and the prosecution could make a mince meat of this argument by making the defendant appear as a sociopath who got up from a rape incidence and called his doctor, considering his behavior in court.
Same was said of the defendant’s GPS alibi. Prosecutor presented to the court that the defendant was within a 7-mile radius of the incidence; therefore rubbishing that line of argument. |

According to the records provided here by chatinent, there a few striking facts to this case. And these facts raise a lot of questions.... I think this case was easy for the investigators to solve
-The rapist had access to the complex, as he was seen on CCTV punching access codes on the door knob
- this access door leads to the laundry in the complex
- the rapist arrived to the complex in a car with a distinct tag
- the rapist had an “African” accent.
————- How many Africans lived in that complex? Is it possible that the rapist accessed the laundry to change clothes? Did the car the defendant (Powerhouse5050) used that night have a distinct tag? Did the defendant admit to this crime ? Did the victim identify the defendant as the rapist?
———— @ powerhouse5050 I am afraid your current argument over clothings won’t really sway the jury. The rapist had ample time to change clothing.

Powerhouse5050: About 1stGenAmerican : I dare him to produce the affidavit that he claimed I signed. The police spread false information just like they said that my DNA was found on this lady but as you can see the truth from the documents I have shared.
2, My lawyer wanted to conduct in-court identification but the prosecuton objected to it and the judge ruled in favour of the prosecution.
Why was the lady not allowed to identify her attacker in court, it is a standard criminal practice in america but in my case it was ruled against?
3, No Sir I arrived New York at end of April from Tokyo ..... I have only lived in the complex this crime happened for One month only, I saw this lady for the first time inside the court.
About the DNA we objected to it and now the issue is legally preserved for appellate court review. My lawyer actually claimed the DNA was tampered with because it was unaccounted for, for 43days and the police officer evidence room supervisor testified they don't know about that because it was in possession of the detectives......they detective could not explain where it was and the GBI reported the seal on the evidence was not a proper seal.
I am in possession of all these facts and I will keep sharing them even though my response is slow, you all must understand that I am doing all this from inside prison. Thanks for the reply. Can you state the facts the jury relied upon to convict you? These forms the bases of your appeal. Did they convict based on the “inconclusive” DNA result? Did they convict based on CCTV video of the incident? Did they convict based on the Victim’s testimony? Did they convict based on your plead for mercy (Ref: 1stGenAmerican’s account) In your presentation here and 1stGenAmerican ‘s I have not seen any conclusive fact of this case. The documents I posted DOES say that 2 sets of DNA were found. One belonged TO THE VICTIM and the other belonged TO YOU.
I am sitting here watching you rile these people up because most don’t have the capacity to understand what those documents state.
ANYONE in the US with a JD that is reading WILL NOT HELP YOU because the more you talk, the more we can tell that you are purposely being deceptive. According the transcripts you have uploaded here, in which a DNA expert stated the the DNA profiling was inconclusive. Did your defense attorney argue before the trial judge that the DNA is not certain to be that of the defendant
Why did your attorney argue against the admissibility of the DNA profiling result using “trueallele ”, when this result never confirmed you as the individual that raped the victim?
According to 1stGenAmerican , he stated on this thread that you signed an affidavit affirming to be the person in cctv video chasing down the victim. Any truth to this allegation?
Did the victim ,in court, identify you as the attacker during cross examination?
Have you known this victim directly or indirectly prior to this rape incident? Any dealings ,directly or indirectly, with the victim? |
