DieRich5:No matter how tempting it may be, do not see the 2021 reboot...a very hot mess i tell you. |
VerifiedStalin:This line up is so gargantuan! but the plot seems generic. This will either bang very hard or fall very flat. |
Please house, I want to purchase something of about $980, considering this CBN $100 limit, which card or payment method can I use? |

Kaycee7:Same sha plus Ryan Reynolds, DJ and Gal Gadot in one flick?? Rotten tomatoes can actually go to hell on this one. |
VerifiedStalin:lmao..so me sharing a negative view on just one Marvel flick equates to me been a DC fan boy?. anything you say my Gee. |
Beorn:The same "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" that had mad reviews when it dropped at the theatre? The same movie "Marvel Bots" said was the main pillar of MCU Phase 4?..and I was almost tempted to go see it at the Cinema, glad i didn't. I think Marvel fell off after Phase 3, i particularly don't care for any of the line up in Phase 4. |
"Red Notice" is already "rotten" i am hearing ![]()

"Oxygen (2021)" Though it is a popular story line, this claustrophobic thriller was well done having a mixture of "Buried" (2010) and "Interstellar (2014) feel. Despite it having basically just one cast, it was a great and satisfying watch.

abduleez1:She's barely even a B list, and that Fifty shades adaptation was so so bad so the outcome spiralled her career downwards. |
pu7pl3:True...so there's no set standard. |
pu7pl3:Avengers: Infinity war (2018)...Avengers: End game (2019), Harry Potter and the sorcerer's stone (2001)..Harry Potter and the Chambers of secrets (2002), Twilight (2008).. Twilight: New moon (2009), Hunger games (2012)..Hunger games: Catching fire (2013), Scream (1996)...Scream 2 (1997), The Lord of the rings: Fellowship of the ring (2001)...Lord of the rings: The Two towers: (2002)...Lord of the rings: The return of the king (2003)..... There are many successful movies that release their sequels one year following the first part and this was possible because the sequels where planned even before the project began meaning every was on board, the film maker, producer, production company etc. However, tho Denis Villeneuve had a plan for a Dune Sequel, Legendary Pictures only greenlighted the sequel last week after seeing the success of the first part. |
DieRich5:i think oyetpel has answered you thereby saving me from writing a very long epistle. I now see the problem, you saw the cast and you were expecting action and bang from start to finish, and that's where you got it wrong, because lovers of the books clearly know this particular installment will be somewhat of a character building phase and i think it clearly met the expectations of those who have read the book that's what fantasy series or movies are about (see LOTR, GOT etc for E.G) at the beginning. And to add, people who haven't even read the book that i know of enjoyed the movie too, knowing part 2 and possibly part 3 will bring "greater joy" because the stage have been set by this part 1. |
DieRich5:lol they should explain what? How or what they mean by Paul Atriedes is the "one"? really? are you a novice? When they said Neo was the one in "Matrix part one" i didn't need to see part 2 or 3 to know what it meant...and they pretty much explained everything in this part, the importance of spice, Sandworm, Bene Gesserit etc, so what are you on about and what aren't you clear about? Dune is a mixture of sci fi and high fantasy, breaking it all down in this first part wouldn't have been possible. |
DieRich5:If you are an ardent cinephile, Dune shouldn't be giving you headache because it was pretty straightforward..there are more complicated movies that will give you more tougher time understanding than Dune. lol @ "The story was half done"...it literally said "Dune Part 1" in the opening title card, so you expected them to answer all your questions in under 2:38 mins when the movie is been adapted from a book spanning into 25 volume at least? |

oyetpel:She hardly disappoints..top tier actress and multilingual as well.. she's the full package. |
Gmajor:Yes...a prequel. |
Agwaregideon:TF is that title?? Downloaded from tfpdl abi from Pornhub?? ![]() |
abduleez1:Yup...the Box office was on a downward spiral after the first week. I am literally tired of any "reboot" at the moment. Come up with fresh stories and ideas or keep it moving, for heaven's sake, there are even tons of books waiting to be adapted so why keep recycling one story from the 80's. |
Raalsalghul:This movie had the best opening day Box office return for an R rated flick even toppling "The Suicide Squad" in the pandemic era. With the critical ratings in the mud, it was most likely riding on the success wave of the previous installment. They should let successful franchises "die a natural death", i am tired of all these remakes..i am seeing there's a new "Chucky" spin off show now...smh. |
Finally got to see Dave Chappelle's "The Closer" and while it felt more like a social commentary than an actual stand up, i thought it was a brilliant work of art and so i am out here wondering why it was generating this much smoke in the LGBTQ community. It still has me baffled. All his jokes and opinions about these people have always been centred around the racial injustice as against the rights of LGBTQ. Comedy is clearly not for the person reading other meanings to what Dave rant about these people, I have seen alot of stand ups and i have heard worse than these jokes. Would it still have generated this much smoke if Dave was White? I doubt it. We can all joke about God, Allah, Muslim been terrorist, Preachers been molesters etc and everybody has a laugh and sing kumbaya, but when a single joke is said about the LGBTQ community, their ears suddenly become brittle?. Dave said it best in "Equanimity" when he said "If my jokes makes you wanna beat up a transgender, then you probably a trash person in the first place and you shouldn't come to my show anymore". So these people should take a chill pill and reflect on what is really bothering them. |
Yes..I think i will wait.. can't ruin the experience.
|
Karleb:No need to imagine @bolded, it is 100% a possibility, and i won't be surprised if these happen in no distant time, because the Scenario that would enable all of these to happen is well and truly on the way. You just have to move with the time...we live in an extremely capitalist world now and the greatest "cash cow" is seemly appealing to these demographic i.e LGBTQ, feminist etc. |
"Swallow" 4/10. Man...I have giving Nollywood a fair chance with this year with "King of Boys: Return of the King" and "Swallow", both have disappointed me, ironically both are riding on Netflix's influence so I wonder how they came out piss poor especially this "Swallow". For a movie maker as famed as Kunle Afolayan in these spaces, i expected better. The plot and pacing was all over the place, they couldn't pursue any theme successfully, even the title is somewhat misleading cuz i was thinking "drug trafficking" was the central theme but this was just about 10% of the movie. The acting was kindergarten level to say the least. The only kudos was for mimicking the 80's era Lagos to some appreciable level with the costume and songs although there were some few but passble errors...all in all...a forgettable flick. |
Flamemignon1:True..the bone i have to pick with the writer is him saying, writing the character this way wasn't influenced. |
pu7pl3:Exactly. The writer could have easily created these new character that are LGBTQ, but no, suddenly he remembers that Clark Kent's son likes to "explore". Total BS. |
abduleez1:Abi o...I actually dey expect LGQBT content for every media now sef, so e no dey bother me. The world dey tough enough, so i no dey judge anybody, any lifestyle pesin choose, na his or her choice, na quality entertainment me dey find. |
abduleez1:My man.... Thanks |

OK I only see her in the same repeated visions.
