I like your jokes and you are very good in it sir.

Winning the presidential election entails winning the presidential primary of a major Political party as a first step.

Do you honestly think Dave Umahi can defeat other Political heavy weights like Saraki, Tambuwal, Kwankwanso or Wike in PDP to clinch the party's ticket? Be sincere with this answer sir.

Since 1999 Jos Convention of the PDP, do you know any candidate that has ever won the presidential primary of the party that is at the same level of popularity with Mr Dave Umahi?

To win Presidential election, apart from competence , track record of achievement and exposure, you need

Popularity
Acceptability
Political structure with a legion of foot soldiers accross the country
Financial war chest.

All these take reasonable time to build up. Dave Umahi like Pat Utomi or Sowore may be competent but he does have the other criteria

TSRC:
Known beyond your political zone as what?
Dino melaye is known everywhere. Dosen't mean he would win an election.

You are very funny if you think a pdp presidential candidate would not be well known automatically.

He is not running under the ACN. He would be running under the pdp.

I like your jokes bro.

Success in Politics, like success in Warfare, Academics, sports or business don't happen suddenly but takes long term prepations.

If you are not known beyond your Geo-political zone in 2019 and you expect to win a Presidential election in 2023 in a very big highly heterogeneous country, it means you don't understand the principles of Politics.

TSRC:
They don't need to know umahi now.
When he runs under a major party like the pdp, they would know him then.

It is not as if umahi is going to run under NCP. He is going to run under pdp and benefit from the enormous party network.

You can't run under the pdp and not be scrutinized by everybody in the country.

If you don't know his accomplishment now, you would know it when he becomes the flag bearer of the pdp.

You never cease to amuse me.

Ask an average guy on the Streets of Ijebu-Ode, Sapele, Mokwa, Funtua, Bichi, Okene, Mubi,Azare, Ilesha or Gusau if he knows anyone called David Umahi.

TSRC:
Even a Dave umahi can win the presidential elections.
He already has the developmental competence record.
It is now a question of how big the party is and how much they can sell the candidate.

And they don't come bigger than the pdp.

Even though many Igbos didn't support Abiola and prominent Igbos played negative roles in the June-12 annulment but Abiola NEVER made such statement.

You can produce a newspaper or verifiable evidence that he said so.

You shouldn't be celebrating the annulment of June-12 and the death of Abiola.

Nobody is getting the Presidency on special concession.

There will be election come 2023 and the side with the largest support will win.

I think Igbos should start drumming support for 2023. They have formidable presence in the PDP, they should work with Kwankwanso, Tambuwal, Like and Atiku for an Igbo candidate to win the PDP Presidential ticket and campaign all over Nigeria to get votes.

Halopy:
My own question is, should south west always get the presidency on special concessions? Is south east not part of Nigeria, are they not qualified to contest the presidency? Nigeria is sitting on a keg of gun powder and the explosion is minus one day today. Why must the north collectively cede the presidency to the south before the south can produce the President? Why can't anyone from any part of the country contest the presidency and any winner emerges fairly? Why can't we have a kind of whitepaper or some sort of agreement duly consented by every region guiding compulsory rotational presidency between the north and the south every 8years? Why must the south be begging the north before they will ever be allowed to produce the president? Why must the south be compensated with presidency for M.K.O's death. It should be the right of every tribe in Nigeria be it major or minor to produce the president. That's fairness. That's equity. That's Justice. That's what is right.

Which Peter Obi? Where is his Political structure, where are his foot soldiers? Name 3 Governors that Peter Obi helped to become Governors or formidable politicians he raised up.
The same Peter Obi that has no say in the politics of Anambra State?

To win Presidential election, you need to be acceptable in at least 4 Geo-political zones.

Bros, Peter Obi can't even win PDP primaries.

TSRC:
You wouldn't know until you try.
Buhari is no longer running and pdp even in the last election reclaimed past territories in the north.

A peter obi can win the presidential elections. He was the most inspiring in the last elections and Nigerians saw it.
Atiku got a lot of votes because of him.

If not for the atiku corrupt bagagge and the buhari followership in the north, a lot of people would have voted for pdp.

He was certainly more inspiring than osibanjo.

How old are you sir?

In the 1999 PDP Presidential primary election, Obasanjo contested with the following presidential aspirants.

1) Dr Alex Ekueme
2) Jim Nwobodo
3) Don Etiebet
4) Philip Asiodu
5) Alabo Graham-Douglas.

Obasanjo defeated them in the PDP primaries.

In 2023, let igbo candidates contest and slug it out with others.

kettykin:
I am not talking of NASS elections , i am talking about being fraudulently denied, victimized and condemned to 10th class citizens , if APC does not factor in igbos in 2023 the same way PDP factored in Obasanjo in 1999 then there is no reason for remaining a Nigerian simple as that.

You must be an enemy of the Igbos for typing this post.

So if any Igboman doesn't win the 2023 Presidential election, it means there is no equity and fairness in the land?

You want to be President and you are not contesting for the election but sit down in your houses, plotting to stop Tinubu or any Yoruba candidate. Igbos need to get the politics right.

Well I dont see that as a problem, infact I wish it so, as that will be the surest way to the downfall of apc.

Most likely Fake news!

mmb:
Power shift to the South-west in 2023 is the best honour that can be bestowed on the late Chief MKO Abiola, Ahmed Lawan has said.

Lawan stated this on Saturday in Yola, Adamawa State, in an interview with journalists.

He, therefore, advised President Muhammadu Buhari and his party, the APC, to take a step further by handing over the 2023 presidential ticket to the South-west.

"The president and indeed our party must beware of divisive elements who are now proponents of retaining power in the north beyond 2023," Lawan said.

He added, "I have said it before and I believe that 2023 presidential ticket of the APC must go to the South-west. Since I made this comment last time, some members of my party have been hatching a plot to suspend me from the party but I am not moved and I will still hold my ground that power must go to the west.

"June 12 Democracy Day is a milestone in Nigeria's history and anyone who embraces democracy in Nigeria should be proud of what Buhari has done and it takes so much courage to do.

"So many Nigerian leaders have shied away from talking or acting about it because of the controversy arising from the date and fear of being scandalized but this is what Nigerians want, respect, rule of law and honour for those who fought and bled for democracy and that is what Nigerians should remember as significant for this date.

"It was not marked to spite or contradict anyone but to celebrate the common value we share in the belief in democracy as the best form of government that would serve this country and its people. And Buhari must be praised for this day."

On whether the day is widely acceptable, he said, "I don't think Nigerians rejected it in any way, on the contrary, it has been welcomed with huge applause across party and regional divides."

It seems Atiku has been scammed with this server issue.

1) There were over 10 Political parties that contested for the Presidential election. Were the results for EACH Political party recorded on the card readers and send to the server or ONLY the results of APC and PDP were recorded and sent to the server?

2) What of the people that voted manually where card readers didn't work?

3) What happened to the votes in places where there are no internet services?

netpro:
You are right. If Atiku should win, then that implies that what INEC and the voters manually did in public was a waste of time. That means Atiku and those around him are the only ones with authentic results.

Note: Atiku's results are entirely different from INEC in every State. In Atiku's version President Buhari performed better in the SE for example.
